NS++ is having major issues. Im an editor for my regional newspaper and it will not let me do anything. The regional news keeps disappering. Roleplay and Gameplay news no longer shows up. Id say about 90% of NS++ is not working.

The Roleplay and Gameplay news links were removed in the 2.5 Chrome Extension. Firefox, Safari, and Opera are still on previous versions and will not be updated until we're satisfied with 2.5 in general.

Problems with regional news continuing even after the changes we pushed last night are concerning however.

Edit:

I should be clear: For the next few days, you should expect NS++ to sometime lag a couple of seconds, about twice a minute right now. This will happen less and less often over time.

I don't see any recent attempts to log in as "union_of_kiwi_socialists" in NS++. Are you unable to use NS++ at all? What version do you have of the extension?

It works every few days, for a few hours. For example, two days ago I was logged in with NS++ and it was working normally, but aside from afew short intervals of this happening, I am unable to use it. Some areas (e.g: puppet list/management have operated constantly despite this). As for version, I have no idea - I'm not very tech-savvy xD. Where would I locate this?

Added some further amelioration to the NS++ service. Please let us know if you continue to experience problems.

Is there any way you guys could add permanent dice rolls to forums/dispatches/regional messages?

It seems like the kind of thing that would be perfect for NS++ for those 'ahem' role-players. Having something integrated would be really useful. Perhaps looking for a dice roll tag or an NS++ extra bbcode and then attaching where necessary. I recognize this would only be viewable to NS++ users but since NS++ was stolen acquired by NS I think the userbase might well be on course for expansion.

I would personally find it, EXTREMELY useful.

This would be fairly easy to add, with average randomness. I will consider it.

or even if we had a way to enter population, defense strength etc. and it would decide the battles or war.

I've read it over and determined that such an extension does absolutely nothing useful for this game.

It sort of did before, but now it kind of doesn't, unless you're involved in R/D.

I would deny that recruitment is useless for Roleplayer regions, but maybe I'm stuck in a 2004 mindset.

Sorry, meant that the extension is now primarily a gameplay tool than one that non-gameplayers would use much. Those who use the forums more than the game have little to gain from NS++ than before, unless of course they have a crapload of roleplaying puppets or really need the "Ignore Forum Topic" function. Previously, we had the ad block and Roleplay News to keep us using the extension.

Now, I can't stand using it as a forumer simply because I remember what it used to be.

*shrugs* Maybe I am irrational. But I'm not using NS++ until it incorporates something that makes up for the loss of those two features.

NS++ didn't have an adblocker for most of its existence, and not like there's a lack of free and effective ad blockers available for download on the Internet anyways...

That wasn't the only reason I downloaded NS++...

Is there a way to allow people without NS++ to see the regional news?
