Now that 2023 is coming up, nations that are able to have their names used again in 2018 are being put up for re-use. April 2018 was when the first run of trading cards were created, so would refounding a nation with an Season 1 card cause any problems? (Other than the original one being considered overwrriten.)

I reused the name of a S1 card, Stripper Island. As the DBID is different from the original, it shows no active cards if you go from the nation page. The boneyard shows the separation too.

If you click on the name on the old card, it loads the new nation, but I'm not sure that's a problem.

I was just asking because there was a name I wanted which had an S1 card. (in 11 days it'll be available) Now I don't have to worry abouting breaking something.

Hello, I wanted to ask something. My apologies if it was a topic already; I searched around a bit but without success.

What if I say for example, I had this nation called TheOrc long enough, I don't need it anymore, I give it back to the community. But then it has a population 14.522 billion. Maybe it is even a Telegram Master. Can I still actively surrender it to the Admins and they will set the population and everything to zero and make it nice and fresh and available for new players without a waiting time? Or at least without a waiting time of 100 years?

I'm just curious if there is this option. And if not, why not?

Nope. It becomes ancient after 5 years. You should just be able to make it again though.

Not quite correct. A nation only becomes "ancient" if the name is reused. If it isn't, the nation can certainly still be revived at any time. But if you forgot the password and didn't add an email address, then you're out of luck, because there's no other proof of ownership accepted.

However, if the nation has been inactive for almost ten years and the name hasn't been reserved for one reason or another, you can found a new nation with the same name. Check it out on the Boneyard.

If it is, indeed, your nation and you didn't intentionally scramble your password to nonsense, you can simply keep trying passwords, though.

The only party that is able to GHR unauthorised password attempts is the holder of the account. Currently no one holds it, and if they did, it would presumably be you.

There's no way to "allow" your name to be reused by someone else (unless you let your nation CTE below 1 billion people and never revive it again, which you're long past). The boneyard is just the lookup page for whether a name is reusable; nations don't "go into the boneyard" when they cease to exist.
