The day was calm. April Fools' had died down, the Blahaj decorations had been took down, harmony was restored.

Until... from inside the caves of the Astorian Cavalry's stable, the Great Blahaj planned his next moves: an infiltration of the ARC. Taking the form of a fluffy plushie, Blahaj convinced the people that conquering in his name was a good idea, and got together his Sparkalian and Crimson Crusaders friends to start the conquering.

Region after region was straddled with the greatness of Blahaj, taking the form of Blobhaj, successfully spreading his grandious name and face actoss all NationStates. Blahaj then ran for the mountains, with the promise that, one day, he will return.

To recognize an Angel's contributions to the Celestial Order

Following the passage of the Exaltations and Damnations Act, the Harbinger Ambis quickly got to work writing the first Exaltation of its kind. He chose the sitting Archkeeper, Rosartemis, as his candidate for the Exaltation. The voting was held from March 31st, 2024, 00:00:00 forum time (GMT+1), to April 3rd, 2024, 00:00:00 forum time (GMT+1). This is simply the first of a long string of angels that will receive recognition for their actions, which were overall positive for the Celestial Order. Unitium Gloria!

Recognizing the passage of the Establishment of Exaltations and Damnations Act, and knowing that there are several people who most deserve this prestigious award;

However observing the Archkeeper Rosartemis, or Rosa, who is now serving their third consecutive term in this role, having seen it since its days as Prime Minister, and having benefited Astoria in a multitude of ways, and deeply convinced that they are deserving of the first Exaltation by this esteemed assembly;

Recalling Rosa’s first term as the then Prime Minister, where only two days after they made the promise, they created the Ambassador and Integration program, both helping to expand Astoria’s presence, letting allies easily hear about goings on, and internal structure, enticing newcomers to stay in the region;

Acknowledging, in pursuit of this goal, the multiple treaties that Rosa has been integral to getting passed, including the Marbella-Mayfield Concordat, a treaty establishing formal ties with Warzone Trinidad, which has been a close and consistent ally, the Treaty of Sword and Spear with Kantrias, an important military partner, involved in several operations since its signing, including Operation Eden and Operation Codebreaker, and finally the treaty of Divine Treasures with Lair of the Dragon, which while only passed recently, has to potential to also become a very close ally;

In awe of the Twelve Days of Christmastoria, a multi-day cultural event spanning half of the month of December, in which Rosa got the region into the Christmas spirit through games, movies, and a host of other events, culminating with their sweep in the 2023 Astorian Awards, winning six out of the 11 awards, including Astorian of the Year, and a personal award given Astoreus, the region’s founder, recognizing their merit and honor;

Astonished at Rosa’s creation of two new ministries, the Ministry of Gameside Affairs and the Ministry of World Assembly Affairs, the former breathing new life into the region, taking up recruiting for the region, running polls, and moderating the RMB, while the latter would provide the region with helpful dispatches directing how to vote in the World Assembly, furthering Astoria’s influence on the World Stage;

Blown away at Rosa’s unanimous victory in the January 2024 election, proving the trust that the Astorian electorate shows in them, and the care they put back into Astoria, their immediate dive back into the position, going over what had previously been accomplished in the previous term, and what they intended to do in this one;

Unable to ignore Rosa’s hard work and dedication in the Astorian Retheme, the largest project the region had seen, going from a pure monarchy to Heavenly Hosts, requiring almost a month of planning and preparing, many behind-the-scenes talks, almost all of which they were leading, making sure the group stayed on topic;

Impressed at the sweeping changes it created, and admiring Rosa at the head of much of it, the efficiency things got done, and how the region has largely benefited from it, becoming much more unique in its identity;

Once again floored by Rosa’s uncontested victory in the March 2024 elections, taking home the position of Archkeeper for a third time, prepared to lead the region through whatever may come next;

Turning our attention to Rosa’s time as the Lady Archon of the Astorian Radiant Cavalry, formerly Astorian Royal Cavalry, where they managed to complete a large number of raids, becoming one of the most feared names in some regions of the cosmos;

Applauding Rosa’s leadership in Operation Cabaret, a multi-day fash bash operation done in conjunction with the Warzone Trinidad Mafia, resulting in one fascist frontier destroyed, and over a thousand days of delegate streak destroyed across all regions hit;

Cowering at the celestial awe of Rosa’s work during Operation Eden, managing to destroy a fascist and bigoted frontier, creating masterful work to tell the rest of the cosmos about the operation in the meantime, one even winning an award at a multiversal awards competition for the past year;

Pleased at Rosa’s work becoming a hacker in Operation Codebreaker, taking a rotten system and razing it of issues, leading to a domino chain of multiple horrid frontiers being destroyed, and at their resilience when bombarded with questions from former native occupants, directing them to hard proof of their wrongdoing;

Further going back, and observing the first retheme given to the Astorian Radiant Cavalry, taking it from the Royal Operations Force to the Astorian Royal Cavalry, changing the names of the military in the process, cementing its place as a unique military, and becoming more enticing to newer members, further growing it and its influence over the cosmos;

Hailing Rosa’s creation, with help from other members of the ARC, of the Astorian Radiant Guardsmen, Astoria’s piling force to be deployed on military operations, headed by the Archon of the Guardsmen, further showing Rosa’s commitment to Astoria, and to helping it grow on the stage of the cosmos;

Concluding by realizing that Rosa’s contributions to Astoria are too many and too numerous to fully encapsulate, from gallantly leading the ARC to further cultural events, but knowing that their impact and place in Astorian history has been cemented forever; therefore, wishing to honor them;

Hereby presents Rosartemis with the first Exaltation, elevating them to the Exalted Angel Rosartemis.

Meanwhile, on the Astorian Minecraft Server while the hamsters are revolting, the ARC found its pastime by tagging villages! Oh the humanity!

Live news broadcast from a tagged population

Arsto got on his horse and took out his sword, breaking his way through several towns, villages, and even finding himself in another dimension somehow! Spraying graffiti across the signs of nations and people as he went by, along with leaving gifts of extreme riches! (Disclaimer: Extreme riches may include 6400 carrots and a potato.)
When he reached the Boiling City, he climbed up the flagpole and quickly waved a new flag, before jumping back down onto his horse and leaving carrots galore for all to behold, next he reached the Temple of Okj, where he found a lone soul running a war cult regular temple of peace, before promptly taking a home run with his shiny stick before tagging the place (several times) and running off. Once he reached the far off land of Pieko, he swiftly looted their ports of all their plunder before sailing off towards Absitius, where he met a strange goose that gave him a bottle labelled "Ligma" before running off. After drinking the bottle, he quickly got back on his horse and rode all the way to Unironic, eating a cake or two and leaving replacements and signs before taking the railway down to the Luthadel, where he saw towering walls, but that didn't deter him from climbing up and leaving chaos in his wake before returning to his old home, Arstoria, and leaving a few funny signs at the East Arstoria Checkpoint and heading back to the Temple of Okj, where the individual who he batted off a cliff offered to give him a diagnosis on what was in the goose's strange bottle. Arsto after seeing the report quickly wrote "Arsto was Here" all over it and thanked the temple's keeper before flying back to his new home in the Alcase Valley, where he promptly tagged the Lord of the city and the town hall. He then realised he forgot to get his backpack, and ventured into a mysterious secondary dimension covered in lava, fire and... ice..? he tagged his way along what looked like a highway of ice before acquiring his backpack and heading home.

Activity Overview (March-April)
During the month of April, the region experienced stable growth, with the number of nations increasing from 323 on March 1st to 409 on April 1st. As of the writing of this report, the region is stable at 410 nations and 73 endorsements on the delegate. With the end of recruitment on Dot, and the subsequent blackout, there is not much changes to Activity.

March/April Monthly Foreign Report, 04/27/2024

THE ARCHKEEPER'S ADDRESS
One last time.

Well, there is a lot to unpack for this edition. Firstly, I am happy to say that the region is absolutely prospering. While there have been some conflicts, they've all been resolved, and Astoria is growing and maturing faster than ever. It would be a lie to say that Astoria isn't a capable region, with a capable government, and a dedicated host of angels that are happy to see it grow. That's what I love about it—the community. Without this community, Astoria would not be what it is today. Perhaps it would be a great reminder to many people that Astoria isn't even 11 months old yet, and now it has grown to become what it is—one of the most promising strongholds of the era. To that, I say, keep moving forward.

So far, the greatest development in these two months has been in the legislative and foreign affairs. We gained eight new embassies and passed six pieces of legislation. Certainly, the angels have been busy with work, and they're definitely not disappointing. I am proud of what they have been doing, and Astoria only continues to grow its circle of friends that we are happy to bond and share with. The Astorian Radiant Cavalry has also seen some changes, mostly a change of hands between Omni and me. After his resignation, he has chosen me as his successor for Lady Grandmaster. I thank him for his service to the ARC, and I hope that my reign as the head of the military will be as bright as it could be. Further onward, I hope the ARC will grow to be one of the most feared militaries in Raiderdom. That is a dream worth having.

But of course, there is still much to discuss. To start... This will be my last Archkeeper's Address and my last term as Archkeeper going forward. I will not be running in the next elections and hope that the people who declare their candidacy for this hallowed role will serve Astoria as I have for the past six months. The passion of running Astoria as its leader was seemingly lost on me.

To be honest, I hadn't been enjoying running Astoria lately. It's been pretty evident. My drive to build this community stemmed from the excitement of watching it grow from a small RP group to the impressive powerhouse it is today. It was fulfilling to see my contributions as Prime Minister and now Archkeeper over two terms. However, much of my motivation also came from a sense of challenge and proving people wrong. I thrive on defying expectations, and showing people just what I can do. Regardless of what happens, if Unike turned out to be a spy and couped Astoria, I'll simply acknowledge it with a clap and move on. Ultimately, my focus has always been on what I've created, rather than the outcomes.

I've proven the doubters wrong and shown my capability as a leader every time I tried. But without that sense of challenge, I find myself drifting aimlessly, stuck in a limbo where I should be doing something but lack the motivation. It's like riding on my own passion, not to build the region, but to satisfy my craving for creation. As selfish as it may sound, that's the reality. However it's become apparent that the interests of the Celestium no longer align with mine. And so, the passion for creation has faded, and it's faded for quite some time now.

To be frank, I've lost the motivation to be Astoria's Archkeeper, and undoubtedly, even long after I'm gone, many will reminisce about the golden age of Archkeeper Rosartemis. As great as it had been, it's no longer something I could replicate now, much to my frustration.

I will admit that I wholeheartedly enjoyed being the Archkeeper. It presented a challenge, one that I conquered with flying colors - perhaps even achieving a world record, as some might describe it. However, upon my return from my first LOA back in mid-February, I discovered that I no longer had that motivation. It felt as though I had already beaten the game, and now I was merely searching for the last collectibles and completing the final achievements. But if all I received at the end of it was one tiny cutscene... Did all that struggle truly matter in the end? It's difficult to rekindle enthusiasm for something once you've stepped away from it. I've experienced this enough times with NS cards to know that much (sob).

Would I run for Archkeeper again? No. I've done what I could, proven myself, and as wonderful as my time on that throne has been, returning would only lead the Order on a crash course destined for collapse rather than growth. So, no, I won't run for Archkeeper again. Maybe in the future, if that same passion reignites in my heart. I will be staying in the executive as a member of the Council of Ophani. With that aside, you won't hear me declare my candidacy again.

I am happy to see that the May Elections will be the most contested of all elections, as neither Unike nor I are running for a position. But that is what makes this one so special—there are multiple people running for each different position. For a region in a political game, where the entire premise is simulating a nation, I think this really shows just how much Astoria has grown and how much it has outgrown me. There are multiple capable and dedicated people running for Archkeeper, and I think sticking my hand in there a fourth time would just be spitting on the region's democracy. I'm not confident I would be able to muster the same explosive passion as I did in the first term. It is amusing, you know? The goal I had from the start of my term as Prime Minister of the Crowned Republic, it has always been "to make the government self-sufficient", and it seems I had achieved that, of course, that means the government no longer needs me to the extent it did back then, and I am proud.
I have served Astoria greatly, but there comes a time where you have to step back and let others take the torch.

I've had my time in the spotlight, but I am not all of Astoria.

This decision wasn't made lightly. I've spent a considerable amount of time reflecting on my role in Astoria and what it means for the region's future. While stepping away may feel bittersweet, I believe it's the right choice for both me and Astoria.

My time as Archkeeper has been an incredible journey filled with growth, challenges, and accomplishments. I've had the privilege of working alongside passionate individuals who share a common goal of making Astoria thrive. Together, we've weathered storms, celebrated victories, and forged lasting friendships. As I pass the torch to the next generation of leaders, I do so with confidence in Astoria's continued success. The foundation we've built is strong, and I have no doubt that those who step up to lead will uphold the values and principles that define our order.

To the angels vying for Archkeeper, I offer my full support and encouragement. Your willingness to serve speaks volumes about your dedication to Astoria, and I have every confidence that you will lead with integrity and vision.

As for me, I may be stepping back from the forefront of Astoria's leadership, but my commitment to the region remains unwavering. I look forward to supporting the new Archkeeper and contributing to Astoria's continued growth and prosperity in whatever capacity I can.

THE COMMUNION OF SPARKLING ANGELS
Astoria and Sparkalia proudly declare the signing of the Communion of Sparkling Angels! Sparkalia has been one of Astoria's oldest allies, well before Astoria's integration into Raiderdom. Throughout those months, Sparkalia has stood alongside Astoria when it was little more than a name. To formalize their friendship beyond just Raiderdom, members of the Celestial Order and the High Queendom have come together and decided that a treaty would best suit their interests in order to solidify their communion for years to come.

And throughout this glorious pact, one must expect to witness the heavens ablaze in a mesmerizing display of purple shimmer and glitter, a tribute to the enduring bond between Sparkalia and Astoria!

1. The High Queendom of Sparkalia and the Celestial Order of Astoria are understood to be the regions party to this treaty and are henceforth referred to as signatories.
2. Signatories hereby recognize the legitimacy and authority of each other's governments, current and succeeding, along with any documents that grant governing authority to each other’s regions and the territories they may legitimately occupy.
3. Formal embassies shall be maintained between the signatories so long as this agreement is in effect and as a sign of respect for the mutual relations established in this document.

Article II - Non-Aggression and Military Aid

1. The signatories hereby agree not to engage in any hostilities against each other and agree to provide military aid to each other, as needed, to prevent any hostilities from taking place against a signatory.
2. Hostilities include, but are not limited to: the illegal removal or forced dislodging of each other's World Assembly Delegates, the use of regional militaries on a raid against the other signatory, and any other activities that can be considered hostile, specifically against the other signatory or any recognized territories either may hold a stake in.
3. The Sparkling Army may be utilized to provide aid and support to the Astorian Radiant Cavalry in raiding and other military operations as approved by the Commanding Officers of both militaries. The Astorian Radiant Cavalry may be utilized to provide aid and support to the Sparkling Army for the same matters stated previously.
4. It is understood that the violation of this article’s non-aggression clause may result in the immediate dissolution of this agreement and the protections granted in it.

Article III - World Assembly Cooperation

1. The signatories will cooperate and provide mutual aid within the World Assembly on matters of joint interest while refraining from interfering with the other signatory’s separate interests:
2. Signatories will abstain from directly voting for resolutions that oppose the interests of a signatory or infringe upon that signatory’s regional sovereignty.
3. Signatories will refrain from approving resolutions to reach quorum that directly go against the interests of a signatory or a military operation conducted by a signatory.

Article IV - Culture and Roleplay Exchange

1. As regions heavily invested in the celebration of all types of culture and worldbuilding, the signatories agree to hold shared cultural events and roleplay opportunities that citizens of both regions are promptly made aware of and may freely attend/join.
2. Signatories agree to seek out and encourage opportunities for mutual cultural celebrations and festivities.
3. Signatories will provide prompt notice and response to each other for any upcoming cultural events and roleplay scenarios that citizens of a signatory region are welcome to attend.
4. Both parties agree to seek out opportunities for the recognized governing officials of the signatory regions to come together and share ideas in a joint leadership conference, for the purpose of developing each other’s governments.
5. Signatory regions agree to establish and maintain at least one annual cultural festival or activity that is open to all citizens of both regions to attend, so long as this treaty is in effect.
6. Roleplay events and activities put on by a signatory region must be vetted by the appropriate officials in both regions to ensure the activity aligns with the current world building of both signatories.

Article V - Revisions and Dissolution

1. It is mutually understood that revisions to this treaty may be necessary and that at some point in time this agreement may no longer be of mutual benefit to the signatories involved.
2. The inclusion of any additional clauses, articles, or amendments to those already existing, will have the consent of both signatories for the ratification of them to be recognized.
3. The dissolution of this treaty may be sought out by either signatory at any time for any proper reason, though it is strongly encouraged that meaningful dialogue between the recognized governments of the signatories take place prior to invoking the dissolution of this treaty.

Astoria's Highest Honour, the Grand Order of Merit, which was established by the Astra Deus serves as recognition of outstanding achievement within Astoria, can only be given by the Astra Deus himself, and in is the highest award any Astorian can achieve.

The one I am awarding the Grand Order of Merit to today has been with Astoria since the beginning. He built this region and its two predecessors into the powerhouse we are today and we would not be the same without him. He's put in a lot of hours, energy and effort into this region.

Countless hours of meticulous labor, imbued with his passion and vision, have woven the very fabric of our order's identity.
