Atheists: What philosophy (non-political) do you go for?

Obviously, this list is incomplete and the answers are not at all mutually exclusive, but have fun!
Confederation of participatory-democratic autonomous municipalities. Market socialist economy, some cantons practicing participatory economics. Environmentally sustainable economy. Enormous civil liberties. Nuclear-armed and missile defense equipped, to protect our autonomy.

Rational humanism.

Teach a poor man to fish and let him feed himself for a lifetime, rather than giving him a fish and feeding him for a day.

Nihilism. In the end it dont really matter what you do with your life, so do what you want, but be prepared to face the consequences.

Be a good, thoughtful, caring person otherwise your actions will eventually form bad people that will smack you or your children in the head

I guess it could be called karma but I believe we need a good society in general and that every action should be considered carefully in terms of self and society. Almost all of todays problems were caused by some idiot who didnt think it out.

Firstly, I'm not exactly an Atheist. I'm not certain there are no gods, I just don't think it matters to our lives whether there are or not.

I voted Utilitarianism ... though I admit that defining what a Good is or measuring its distribution to say which of two systems is better are difficult matters.

I see socialism as an ethical belief comparable to a religious one ... I can believe in it without having to prove that it is better than systems which permit gross inequality of Goods.

I´d say, it´s a good mixture of almost all the above shown...trying to live a life in real world, while sometimes taking care of the needs and problems of other people; and while Anarchy in my eyes is not a political ideology, but a way of living, this comes very close to me...

Eudaimonism, with influences from Ayn Rand, David Norton, Abraham Maslow, and others.

I'm not sure how to vote in your scheme. I'll vote "Egoism", but this is almost certain to be misunderstood. It's a strongly Aristotelian egoism, which means a "broad" or "social" egoism. Voting Humanism might also have worked since I am "pro-human", but Humanism too often is merely Christian ethics minus God.

Antimaterialist utilitarianism, oddly enough.

(Apparently, irreligious antimaterialism is pretty uncommon, at least in the form I live according to.)
One of many Czardas puppets. I regarded this as my main account upon creating it and for several years thereafter, but these days, that's no longer important.
Death is patient, death is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Death does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

I have a very muddled and mushy personal philosophy. Somewhat egoist/somewhat nihilistic/somewhat rationalist.
