Really like the picture though.

How about the Conch republic vs USA, 1982?

I think Marathon fits well. An important message was delivered to a nation far from NationStates, and it's a well known enough battle that most people would probably get the reference.
And just to clear up any confusion, this was only meant to be a tag, not an occupation. We knew Pope Hope would be notified quickly, but Tom wanted to see if we could hold it through minor.

Well, a story of an outnumbered army fighting a foreign empire at a crucial juncture and serving as a symbolic hope that they can be defeated? Plus, they're Greeks. Obviously no bias intended at all...

I feel to see how that applies to this raid though. The defenders and raiders out during the op were evenly numbered, and I don't see how this serves as any sort of hope. It was more of an embarrassment. The founder let his nation cease to exist, the region didn't contact him for over 6 days after it happened, and the active defenders failed to defend it.

I would think that if you want to be part of an organization, you have to play by their rules.

Well about that
I had been talking with Souls about making a joint statement with TBH and any other regions we could get on board

Keep kicking the can on this issue and we won't have a reason to trust the invader community.
