[DELETE] How to boost Economy

Postby The Agnostic Collective » Sun Jun 21, 2015 7:07 pm

Answer issues that favor corporations and create jobs. Basically, be more Capitalist until your satisfied.

Improving your economy usually comes at the expense of the environment.

1.) I said "usually" not "always"
2.) Your environment is fine, but it could be vastly better.
3.) I fail to see how Happiness fits into improving the Economy.

I noticed I got a big boost to my economy when I chose to start charging large tariffs on foreign items and encouraged domestic production. And it doesn't hurt to be with the corporations on many issues. Hope that can be of some help!

Happiness usually goes down when the economy tanks.

You can definitely have a healthy state-run economy here. Stats of Iron Rangers:
26.5% Private Industry, Economy 96, Income Equality 162, Employment 198, Environmental Beauty 101.55, Public Healthcare 90, Pro-Market 34, Primitiveness -170, Toxicity -550.631
(All stats are above average except the last three and first one.)
I don't really know what's kept the economy humming, but the point is it's going well.

True. Capitalism is not required.

Conoistre's stats:
12% Private Industry, Economy 98, Income Equality 183, Employment 163, Environmental Beauty 982.35, Public Healthcare 224, Public Transport 145, Pro-Market 17, Primitiveness -277, Toxicity -1669.215, Eco-Friendliness 208, Obesity -935.5.

We've focused on information tech and book publishing, while some other industries (arms, gambling, mining, retail, and automobile manufacturing) are deeply in negatives.

You don't need capitalism at all.
This nation has a strong economy with 0 private enterprises.

Something you all seem to miss is the Economic trend shows Economic freedoms opposed to the strength of your economy. Just for those who weren't aware...

That'd be very strange. "Economic freedom" is usually equaled to "how capitalist is a nation" and there's certainly no capitalism in this nation, yet the economy indicator on the trend graph recently surpassed the "very good" Civil Rights one.

No, the economic freedom is hidden and used to determine the classfication of a nation (like "Free Market Paradise") but the economy on the trend graph is economic strength. Otherwise this wouldn't really make sense.

I actually put up anti-corporate answers to issues and balance the economy with the environment, I have the "The Other Way" banner for making a strong economy without being capitalist.

Just keep trying, favor corporations and anything that would allow you to make a profit. Eventually you'll recover :)

I stand by my earlier statement. I continue to to favor corporations and my economy hasn't dropped a single point.

Your nation is young so you have plenty of time but I would have to say you aren't really picking pro-corporation choices when I see you have for all intents and purposes destroyed your retail industry. Closing entire markets isn't going to boost your economy anytime soon. You can still boost it by that route but don't expect quick results.

Which issue was it and what option did you choose?

No it shouldn't.

Are you telling me you created your nation exactly the same as whoever gave you that advice and then received the same exact issues in the same exact order and answered them all the same way your adviser did?

That my friend is impressive as well as virtually impossible.

I am not sure where you found that info "online" though I guess it is NS++++.

Personally I don't choose that option on the monorail issue and reviewing some of your choices in the past leads me to conclude you are not choosing the most pro-market choice on the issues however much you may think you are.

You've got it backwards. The trend shows Economic Strength (Economy). Economic freedom is hidden.

Kaufmenia wrote:

It was the monorail issue. I chose to privatize monorail's. I looked online, and that should of boosted my economy by 15 points.

Issue code isn't that simplistic. What boosts for one nation may not boost for another.

Don't go capitalist. That will be the death of your nation. What you want is more corporate welfare. It sounds bad, as if you are feeding the fat cats, but you're really just upping taxes to feed industry. Income will rise across the board, especially with a large public-sector economy.

Who told on Kaufmenia

Postby Merauke » Fri Jul 17, 2015 12:56 pm

Hi guys, The "I need hope." thread is locked so I decided to post here. (I am one of Kaufmenia's puppets), as you no, I was ejected from the WA. After that I was considering leaving NS, but I decided to stay. People said on the "I need hope." thread, that I can still get involved on the forum, the next day, I was banned from the forum for being 12. I am 13, I just made a mistake when typing. Please, let me enjoy this game. I am ok with the fact that I am banned from the WA, but I am not ok that I am banned from the forum. Please, do not report my puppets, I am already highly considering leaving NS, please, I am 13, not 12. I hope this will not be the end of a game that I have enjoyed, and opened me up to the world of politics. If you're a moderator reading this, please don't ban this account, unban Kaufmenia.

That sucks. You should submit a get help request immediately. I know the moderators have been doing an awful job recently, but posting around a forum ban will just make things worse.

So much wrong here....
You are posting around a forum ban, and then now you're jacking a thread.
