Additionally, if you're going to make a fancy big post for every 2-hit tag raid, then these updates are going to lose their value pretty quick. I'd suggest a "raid must hit _ amount of regions to be worthy of a forum post" rule.

To be fair, no thread post is really valuable outside of showing that the region is active.

I'll apply the same logic Rifty did, for once - a region of a few hundred recruiting from several with thousands is always going to end up better off than one with thousands recruiting from one with hundreds.Even if you had a 5% better rate of return, the smaller region still comes out ahead. It's really a waste of your time and stamps.

That may not be fun for the big regions, but then again, it's also not as fun to not have nations come into existence in your region

Honestly the mass WA telegrams attract 30 WA nations, almost all of which are in dead or dying regions, or nations already looking for a new home. Rarely ever do I see them come from a GCR.

And that's all the telegram is meant to do, really- raise a flare to nations looking for a new region. I mean, out of all the mass-WA telegrams I've sent, there has been no more than 1 nation (90% of the time) coming from the same region. Therefore 30 nations recruited = 30 (mostly dead or dying) regions lose one member.

Mass WA recruitment is actually the lowest percentage yield of almost all the NationStates recruitment campaign options (usually a .28% success rate, but only 12000 are delivered, and only 3000 read), but for a telegram campaign of that scale, .28% isn't that bad a turnout). The only advantage it really has is that it attracts several WA nations.

The Auralian Knights destroyed and refounded The Rebel States of Heleth, an ancient Invader region founded in early 2004 that was conquered and became a colony of Defenders for the past 5 years. As the community no longer exists, it is now a protectorate of Auralia.

Regrettably not. The region existed before dispatches/factbooks, founders, and the WFEs archive.

I'm fairly certain it existed before the Gameplay Forum was a thing as well.^{[citation needed]}
