There are some EXTREMELY serious allegations being thrown around here. Anyone who suspects that a user is knowingly colluding with a DOS should file a Getting Help report with their evidence. Given the DOS user already has a history of fabricating "evidence" and basically revels in stirring shit up and dicking as many people over as possible, be aware that any claims or evidence coming from the DOS itself will be unreliable.

I would also strongly advise any users that are knowingly playing with fire to come clean to moderation via the Getting Help page and to cut ties with the DOSer as soon as possible. As already mentioned, the DOS user in question seems to revel in chaos, and while someone else has already made the "sounds like something out of a movie about controlling a monster" comparison, it is a valid one. It has already attempted to try and weaponize its DOS status against users, and clearly views all of you with the utmost contempt. None of you are real people to this sort of mentality, you are all toys for it to play with, and with little regard for whether its toys get broken or not.

Moderation's reach only goes as far as Nationstates. It is up to the rest of you to stop encouraging this pest on the off-sites, the Skype chats, the IRC rooms, and so on.

Just as an FYI - when TBR is frustrated with moral defenders and doesn't understand where we are coming from: I'm just going to redirect to all of this shit right here.

There's really cool raiders that are in it for fun - and then there are raiders who play like the "bad" apples on every game - use every means possible to get ahead as a means of fucking over legitimate players, most of whom are not gameplayers. The sad thing is the really cool guys are willing to work with the likes of TBR.

This is messed up. TBR gave my IP (possibly) directly to one of the most shady characters this game has ever seen on purpose? NOT amused.

The NS administration should seriously consider why they continue to incentivize the damage TBR is doing to the people who participate in this website.

The fact of the matter is that certain elements of NS' more vocal players have gone out of their way to winnow out those who actually care about their sanity and don't view NS as something to put themselves at risk over. And those elements, with a few exceptions, come from R/D.

Basically this. Grim, your post was completely over the top, and the entirety of The Black Riders can't and shouldn't be held responsible for the mistakes of Halcones and Bob, mistakes most of them knew nothing about. The vast majority of The Black Riders are playing NationStates according to game rules, and your moralistic rhetoric that makes it sound like they're committing real life atrocities and are dangerous in a real life capacity is way, way across the line, even from a defender perspective.

Chill out, and stop dramatizing a serious OOC issue.

Indeed, which is why I said people need to send GHRs with evidence. We are not going to blanket-ban a group's entire (and likely innocent/unknowing) membership when one person in it fucks up.

Accusations and evidence to the Getting Help page please, and leave the unhelpful rhetoric at the door. Or do we need to lock down discussion on the topic due to people wildly throwing "Nation X works with DOS Y!" flamebait around?

I did read the post, however it seems we have interpreted it differently at best. I had given focus to the ""Nation X works with DOS Y!" flamebait" part. Moderation also suggests walking away from the computer for a while before posting when angry, whether people follow the advice in that particular post is not something that is under my control. Frankly, all the points made in your post had already been stated in a more concise and calm manner in the post immediately above it, a post which is for the record far more in line with the kind of responses I would like to "provoke".

Thanks for that Ven. In TBR there really are people whom try to get the system back to tracks and make it Practical, so don't be surprised if some of my statements haven't been that diplomatic.

Then. All Skype Convo discussions I've made ever related to TBR are in principle such that they can be published, even in places like NS-forums. After last incident caused by Frak I washed my hands from that dude altogether. Halcones himself took issue to him to handle contacting Frak for purposes to suppress his most violent and harmful behavior, not to encourage it. What comes to main TBR tool it is programmed by Halcones and it is legal.

If I've raided with Frak (or other DOS player) without knowing true identity of co-player, that's the other topic and not something that I consider my responsibility. It's possible, Frak has tendency invent ways evade this like things.

What comes to Marshal Gest. Personally I have every reasons to believe his statements, despite our somewhat problematic personal level chemistry. He is the guy who is not famous for loose and reckless behavior, and he is also de facto commander of The Elite Cavalry, during absence of Overlord Halcones, being that one who keeps system running on daily basis. He surely knows the rules and legalities related to it. He is also one of those whom really try to make better organisation, using considerably time, work and money for it. He is also one of those whom stand last, and of those whom I personally stand with, if it's necessary start shitty internal cleaning process within the Elite Cavalry.

Bob's and KKnight's doings are somewhat mysterious to me. In TBR we use need-to-know principle. I don't have to know.

If you mean the stuff from the hidden "Dominos" thread, that's not a symptom of R/D, that's a symptom of interregional politics, of which R/D is just another aspect. Banning R/D wouldn't end the intelligence side of gameplay, not even this stuff (although it'd probably cut down the frequency a bit). The "extremists" would just be extremists about less extreme affairs.

I'm not particularly surprised by revelations that Frak is working with members of TBR; Frak obviously does whatever he thinks causes the most carnage, leaders of raider orgs don't ask questions about presents while simultaneously being as successful as TBR is now. From those two snippets, my opinion is that the logs between Halcones and Niadh don't represent a threat from Halcones; they represent that Halcones has become involved with something he genuinely cannot "manage" himself, and wanted Niadh and LWU to provide concessions to make Frak happy. However, if Halcones didn't personally feel invested in the matter, (either for LWU or Frak), that conversation wouldn't have happened. Personal experience tells me that the way to prevent someone like that from causing harm isn't to change their motivations to prevent attack, it's to play along with them until the last possible safe moment and shank them with the rustiest thing you've got in the kitchen, but I'm not sure how that'd work in the context of Frak giving defenders scripts (which sounds like it'd hurt TBR more than it'd hurt LWU). Otherwise, dumb move to have anything to do with someone that unstable. If the full logs demonstrate that I'm wrong and Halcones really was threatening Niadh, please post them, because that'd be way more incriminating (and amusing).

Oh and obviously so many members of TBR having that much to do with Frak deserves some broken jaws from other gameplayers and time in the drunk tank if there's other, more incriminating evidence I'm not aware of.
