The Candy for your Mind

FAQ: How evil riders can raid multiple targets? Is this illegal by the rules, as you cannot have more then one WA member nation?

Cora: You can have as many WA Nations you want as long as there are only one in time. It is not illegal resign and join to WA as many times you like. We R/D gameplayers call it as a "Switch".

NOTE: It is impossible WA Multi if you use same E-mail address for all your WA applications. If you manage do that, report immediately to Technical as in that case something has broken in The Game Code.

Where there are that "UN multies lol"?

Since you did ask... ...

Rex Imperium wrote:ATTENTION ALL ENEMIES OF THE BLACK RIDERS!

Has your nation ever had an encounter with the atrocious raiding region of The Black Riders?

Yes. I've assisted them in numerous raids they've undertaken, despite both their avowed lack of political intent for what they do throughout the NS world, and their overall lack of viable malevolence against the World Assemblist mob-rulers who wish to impose kindergarten sandboxes and hall monitors upon all sentient life.

Rex Imperium wrote:Have you ever had to sit by and watch helplessly as your region was torn apart by these barbaric invaders?

No. I've had to sit by and watch helplessly as they've withdrawn from operations like Anarchy, despite the fact that a concerted, singly unified effort by a force of their degree could successfully demonstrate that against a sufficiently disciplined army, mob-rule weapons like 'liberations' are naught but paper tigers.

Rex Imperium wrote:Have you ever had you and your friends scattered apart from each other and forced to find a new home?

Only on the occasions when the oppressors have banned any of them for exercising their fundamental right (despite what any tinpots might believe and claim) to complete freedom of speech.

Rex Imperium wrote:NO MORE!

REALLY?!

Rex Imperium wrote:Now is your chance to stop The Black Riders and strike back at the monstrosity which has been terrorizing the great game of NationStates!

Strike back at the World Assembly? But The Black Riders have no history of any support at all for that monstrosity.

Rex Imperium wrote:Join the Allied Nations of Helms Deep Defenders, and help put a stop to TBR's raiding forever!

The only reason I'd ever want to 'stop' them is simply to adjust what they do, rather than merely this 'raiding just to raid' stuff that doesn't really inflict enough violence upon the targets that I hate with every scalding beat of my blood-burning heart. Stopping them from raiding at all would approach the idiotic.

Rex Imperium wrote:The ANHDD is a defender region dedicated to stopping raiders from ever destroying a region, and offers it's defense force to any and all regions under threat from The Black Riders and scum like them.

Aha. A pleasure to meet you. I am Kurosaki of the Lone Wolves United, in turn of the Invaders, Authoritarian Anarchist, Ubar of Outlaws, and despiser of every last thing your kind stands for.

Rex Imperium wrote:With a complex system to detect raider targets, and a dedicated defense force willing to stop a raid at all costs, the ANHDD is the ultimate response to raiders like the TBR.

Intriguing. Despite my lack of seeing any such evidence from you or those like you, the whole concept you just named does give me pause. "Detect Raider Targets", end quote: targets, not actual Raiders embedded inside the targets. This demonstrates a fundamental divergence in how you view targeting options, and how those like me do. For you, you're apparently waiting to hear where we might attack, and then get there first, or at least quickly thereafter. For us, anything at all can be an instigator for action, from being cheezed off at some native's arrogant attitude, to wanting to bloody up the otherwise lazy during some off hour, to rolling a D20 to pick which it'll be next, to piously needing to burn a given region to the ground in ritual temple sacrifice.

So, if you've actually come up with a way to read our minds...I question the rationality of introducing it into an online abstract political brinkmanship game. Wall Street or Caesar's Palace, dude.

Rex Imperium wrote:So come and join the Allied Nations of Helms Deep Defenders, and help put an end to the raiders.

...

...

...Sure! I'll make a point to check out your region in extensive detail, at the earliest opportunity! Here's hoping we all have an absolute BLAST.

The ANHDD is henceforth renamed the ANHDDADHDADNHAADDNHDDNA, on the authority of me, myself and I, the tri-unified (body, soul, spirit) founder of practical Authoritarian Anarchism.

All Invaders and Raiders are requested to adjust their lexicon apps accordingly. Thank you.

People won't realize basic facts in this game... In-game. That is why this all here now is possible.

We are "Idiots", "Bullies", "Retards", "People who need measure Dicks", "Rapists", and so on...

But we are also people who can read the rules and people capable also study in practice how the game work...

and we always will build our community from that Basis.

You are not programmed to play!

The same people who make them think that the 'will of the people' has any real meaning, and that direct democracy is a viable form of government. Not even the founding fathers of the United States of America thought that.

'Direct democracy' in the Nationstates made me an Executive delegate of The Black Isle.

It required some organizing for that democracy, but elections itself were almost instant when the organisation was behind my Delegate nomination. :P

Sheep, plural.

The will of the people is for certain basic 'unalienable' needs that are universal to the species. If those are regularly, and especially abundantly, seen to, four out of five are generally content to be told what to do by the remaining one in the position of authority. This, for instance, is why effective terrorist groups are practically always organized into 'task-oriented cells': literally, 'doing-as-they're-told units-of-people'.

Slaves to the update, maybe. Drones, obviously, of the constant raiding machine that it TBR. And the Phoenix Division is most definitely a sheep-based division (half of them probably don't even know what military gameplay is).

Nice try though.

No more slaves than are all living creatures to the existential need to feed, and for that matter breathe: without the update, gameplay does not exist. Drones cannot think for themselves, in turn, which is an accusation I would put forth to plenty of Defenders. And as for the predilections of the Black Riders' "Phoenix Division", I wouldn't know: the only "divisions" I currently recognize are assigned Greek letters by ethologists.

Through the strongest yet paradoxically most-difficult-to-maintain-across-generations bond of unity possible: personal allegiance to exceedingly dynamic individual leaders. Among those who decry the concept, it is often historically known as 'cult[s] of personality', whereas I prefer the term meritocratic totalitarianism. One of the aforementioned fundamental desires/needs of the four-fifths is to be valued and appreciated by some or at least one among the one-fifth. If they are not, then they can easily be subverted to other causes; but if they are, entire cultures have been developed around the results.

Or to massively simplify: few fantasize about being cogs in the machine, while quite a few fantasize about being the hand of the king. You want unity? Inspire.

Go to the "Settings" link on your left margin, and go near the bottom of the page it takes you to. There should be a "Theme" setting available, and "Dark" is one of the options. And yes, it's cool enough to be the only theme I use.

Misread a bit, thought you said "NS is this" rather then "this is why im here"

And this is one of the better attitudes to have;raiding doesn't do much if you don't let it

The Black Riders have there motives and I have my own. I won't place my region at risk with this mission at all. Even then I will continue to oppose uniting with any region who is either with or against the Black Riders. I am completely neutral about the situation about there conquest and as long as they are own there own field while I myself am also on my own field. As far as we're concerned, they're on the one league as we are on our own.
