Congratulations, decade-long delegates!

Hola,

The first two WA delegates have finally reached their tenth anniversary of continuous office in the space of one day: Congratulations to the honoured delegates from Mikeswill of NationStates and NewTexas of Texas for being the first nations to pass this historic milestone!

In the world of NationStates, where delegate changes are frequent for many reasons, ten years is a lot.

Whatever happens in the next ten years, they have made an extraordinary and indelible contribution to World Assembly history.

I wonder if this could be a news item?

Nation States is raidable. No founder, and a 42-endo delegate. I'm sure with the resources raiders have at their disposal they could manage it.

I'm more surprised that someone wouldn't have risen up against someone who had ruled a region for that long. Elections people!

Almost all of the most powerful regions in NS are not democracies. That should tell you something.

I wouldn't go that far. TBH has targeted the region of NationStates before, and it's not out of the question that we might do so again some day. A prominent pro-raider figure being associated with a region does not make it raid-proof unless the region itself is a raider region. Mall's close association with Stargate has not prevented Stargate from being targeted several times. Mike takes the security of his region very seriously, and does his utmost to keep it safe. He knows that it is not raid-proof, and he has successfully prevented raids over his 10 year delegacy.

My opinion on this is certainly not universal - there are indeed many raiders who would never dream of targeting NationStates because of Mike's support of the raider community - which I think is rather savvy of Mike

Yea Mikes got alot of Friends, with the numbers you'd need to do it, I feel like Mike would get a heads up from one of his friends if anyone actually tried.
