Now I'm not very into, or knowledgeable in, the entire R/D gameplay or gameplay in general, but I agree with Lubyak on this. But until something is put in place the stop these kinds of raids or whatnot, there isn't much anyone can do about it.

This is fucking ridiculous. Even the WFE of the poor place's remnants points out the "disruptions to RP". If this isn't just rubbing it in the face of the RP community whose regions have no defence against the raiders (who are, essentially, like those people on the beach who kick over small children's sandcastles for sadistic pleasure), it's still pretty nasty when there are tons of GP regions you can go capture. They're going and ruining the things of a group who has no desire to even accommodate with them and calling it a game. Good job, raiders, please to take the time to take in my slow clapping. I do wish you luck as you attempt to lug around your egos and self-importance- they look much too heavy to carry.

As we've all come to learn since the Haven invasion attempt raiders are nothing but a bunch of liars who will say or do anything to upset people. Because under normal circumstances, defenders would come to the defence of this region, and they are not, and it could be interpreted as embarrassing by those who care about Gameplay politics. The characteristics, beyond being founderless, of the region itself, are irrelevant.

Not gonna lie- these discussions aren't getting anywhere and neither side is doing much to make it better. Both here and in places away from this site, I'm frequently correcting both gameplayers and roleplayers on a considerable array of concepts that I would have considered to be core stuff. Lots of attention from mods isn't going to make the issue go away, it's just going to breed resentment further down the line. A solution that doesn't see everything flare up again in 2-6 months is going to be hammered out over on the Technical board, not the Moderation board.

This horror show of a raid, however, exposes some very harsh realities for the Defender side. Their claims that Defenders are still a relevant fighting force are being put to mockery as a raid team using the most sloppy of tactics and the bare minimum level of troops can now take regions with laughable ease, hold it for as long as it takes to cancel and establish embassies, and Defenders won't even contest the invaders either during the raid or after while holding. In fact, some raiders are seemingly so bored of the current game situation that they have taken to attempting to raid other raiders for the sport of it, knowing that Defenders are no longer a threat to their operations but still seeking a challenge. It is of little wonder that raids are at near historic highs and that the Crasher side has more total troops than we ever have before, and now pulling recruits from more diverse regions that, in the past, would have never associated with raiding. This is a sad day for Defending, to say the least, and an especially sad day for Lone Wolves United because, lets be honest, this raid was so ghastly even our own members didn't believe it was a real LWU raid.
