Don't know if this thread belongs here or not, but I thought I'd ask.

Pretty much what I'm looking for is a not really huge monarchist region I can rp monarchist things with. That's pretty much it :P

Try Albion. I'm now sorting out the Royal Household there and there will be RPs around the idea of a medieval court, hunting, and intrigue etc. We also have an RP about the Founding of Albion, which will eventually form the the 'lore' of the region. Each person plays a House over decades as their House tries to unify the patchwork land of Albion into a single Kingdom.

Plus there is much more going on ^_^

Kantrias is more what you're looking for. The Kingdom of the Gavel and the Sword offers a unique community and theme that is more than generically monarchist or modeled off some real or semi-real monarchy from Earth. Rather, Kantrian government, theme and culture is the result of uniquely Kantrian traditions, coming from both the Delphinium Throne and from the people themselves. In Kantrias you get the Gavel (Rule of law, A democratic voice in the legislature) and the Sword (A Strong Crown and a strong assertive foreign policy).

Kantrias also has extensive roleplay in the Theater District, and one of the most interesting communities of people in NationStates.

The Thing to Remember About NationStates is that it is an almost entirely social game - fundamentally, you have no power beyond your own ability to convince people to go along with your ideas. In that sense, even the most dictatorial region is fundamentally democratic.

It is always worth giving The Land of Kings and Emperors or The New Inquisition a look if you are looking for a traditional long-standing monarchist region, as they have both been doing this for roughly 7-8 years. As a consequence they have a refined and established culture. They are of course very large, in that respect contrary to your specification, but they both offer incredibly warm and close communities. Indeed, The LKE has had a highly developed and diverse role-play section specifically based around a monarchist theme as the fact we are 'The Land of Kings and Emperors' would suggest.

Balder is another good option for a monarchist region. I'm trying to revive RP there if you want to work with me on getting something started.

Allow me to second The LKE as a great monarchist region. Our RP is excellent to engage with, active and we're always looking for more people to get involved!

No trumpeting your region twice. :P

The first one was split to include TNI so it doesn't count :p

Kantrias, Albion, LKE and TNI would all be a good fit for you. In-game opposition to... pretty much all of their positions (internationally at least) aside, the communities that exist in these regions are some of NS's best and home to a multitude of talented individuals.

European Union isn't specifically monarchist, but we have many monarchies among us and particularly among our most active players (myself included - and I'd be more than happy to engage in a monarchist RP with you). Moreover, as an RPing region, we have a far more active and developed RP than most regions do, but though we have enough numbers to be active, we're small enough that each individual RPer is known and valued by the community.

I appreciate that, Georgie. :)

The Commonwealth of Crowns

Postby BORDURIAA WA NATION » Mon Jul 01, 2013 9:15 pm

A purely monarchist region in NS is The Commonwealth of Crowns. And we have active Roleplay, Gameplay , and have an active government which is elected every 50 days. A well defined code of laws and an International Crowns Court ensures that the rule of law is preserved. As with any established regions, we are also forum based, although our RMB is damn active too.
CHANCELLOR, 13th REC, THE COMMONWEALTH OF CROWNS
SECRETARY GENERAL of the 7th & 9th REC of THE COMMONWEALTH OF CROWNS
Five Chancellor terms (3rd, 4th, 6th and 11th REC of CoC)
Director(Foreign Affairs), 2nd REC of CoC
Director(Internal Affairs), 2nd REC of CoC

Type of Government: Mix of Monarchy and Democracy(Executive Monarchy and democratic Legislature)
Head of State & Chief Executive: Emperor Phillipe Aristotle
Head of Govt.: Dr.Julius Andreas
Law making body: Senate
