Hold on, hold on, hold on.

I thought the "oligarchs" made the region too stable? I thought they clung to power and hindered the turbulent desires of the people?

Now, however, the South Pacific was unstable and not stable at all? And what we need is a firm hand to hold it in safety? I thought that was the root of the evil with the "oligarchs"?

The firm hand of the people guides the motherland towards great progress. We will bury you and your revisionist pigdog ilk.

Oh look the People's Revolution shtick has gotten boring for Milograd already. So here comes the new gimmick.

A coup borne out of boredom that will soon be over.

Retaliations against rp regions, and now someone really does have an excuse to raid Haven (well done guys. I'm sure you all remember just how well that turned out last time), are likely to occur.

With help from the allies of the very same region you're now attacking.

Well done. Good job guys. Really fucking smart.

"Password required to enter Haven"

If I remember correctly, that makes raiding rather difficult. But your persistent concern about the security of Haven is duly noted.

Except your only allies against a second "Liberate Haven" are the defender community. The other GCRs will remember.

It would be easier just to incorporate a "Grief Region" button, so you wouldn't even need to make the effort to do the actual raiding. Players could just bounce from region to region and destroy everyone else's efforts at will, without even bothering about WA status. Wouldn't that be nice. -Frisbeeteria

Oh indeed. It's not like there isn't a gameplay mechanism to remove a region's password.

I would applaud the effort it would take to write and pass such a proposal, as well as the attention that it would give Haven.

Where have I said I want to see it raided? I've spent the last three days stopping gameplayers from taking it out on rp regions.

I'd like to see evidence of gameplayers threatening to take this out on RP regions.

There will be no raids on RP regions. The opposition has no recourse. Meanwhile, Comrade Milograd and we will continue our permanent restructuring of the South Pacific whether the Oligarchs like it or not.

Like Leistung said, feel free to "invade" a RP region, preferred non-founderless one (since Haven is inactive and trapped in SMS). Don't forget to give that thread a tech (preferred MT) and also create an OOC thread. Many players want realistic army - make sure you have that. We look forward on having fun with you :)

Statement on Events in The South Pacific

The West Pacfic is aware of the unfolding situation in The South Pacific, and sends our best wishes to all nations of TSP.

During the recent conflict among the Guardians in TWP, we appreciated the respect and understanding of TSP that it was an internal matter. It is the opinion of The West Pacific Imperium, that this current situation is no different, and we look forward to working with TSP in all future endeavors to the benefit of both our regions.

We do however, wish it to be clear that The West Pacific recognises the ingame authority of the sitting Delegate over an offsite government's attempt to control the Delegacy. Ingame NationStates is where regional authority lies, not in an offisite forum which is unrecognized by the game itself.

We are also concerned that The South Pacific's ban on TWP Guardian Punk Daddy remains in effect. It continues to be our hope that regardless of the outcome of current events, TSP will reconsider it's ill advised ban on TWP leadership. Maintaining this ban is of great concern to TWP and is indicative of a policy that lacks respect the leadership of their fellow Feeders.
