SovCon Forces Take Union of Fascists

At major update, Sovereign Confederation invaded Union of Fascists with troops contributed by The Pacific Army, Equilism Army, and the Medjai Guard of Osiris.

Union of Fascists was a region committed to advancing National Socialism, Fascism, and Nationalism. It was a region that was aligned with and maintained embassies with The Greater German Reich, a region with which The Pacific is at war and a region that has defaced the RMBs of Osiris as well as other GCRs. Following this invasion there will be one less region to advance the cause of hateful extremism and one less embassy to lend the charade of legitimacy to The Greater German Reich.

Union of Fascists stands as a lesson to those who would spew hate and deface the innocent regions of NationStates: SovCon is watching and we will act to protect the sovereignty of our member regions and other regions against these extremists. The days of the extremist are over; the age of reason has begun.

I'm just saying if I RMB recruited for Capitalists tomorrow no one would use that as justification to grief Capitalist Paradise. Blaming actions on an ideology instead of the person that did is dumb, and saying "the Nazis" spam your RMB so you should open their RMB up to recruitment is remarkably bad argument.

The thing is, it's not really all about GGR. They're just the most vocal group. There's plenty of irritating fascist, nazi or white supremacist leaning regions and most people are happy to deal with pretty much all of them- because they're all mostly the same damn people.

This is not reason for the only reasonable time to attack another and to justifiably do so is in self defense, unless they were actively fighting you you have no justifiable reason to attack them. You are just as bad as them and have sunk to their level, the very place you claim to be against and you are no better than them.

Attack an ally of an aggressive area is not always best, before WW1 Italy was a central power but when it began they eventually without ever fighting us joined are side and served on are side(they refused to fight for Germany for they had only signed a treaty in case of a defensive war not an offensive war, plus allies promised them land in Austria-Hungary) . And they fought hard and lost 1,240,000 military and civilian dead.

If it is true that Union of Fascists actively RMB spammed in its day, okay.
If it is true that a lot of members of UoF are members of GGR also okay.
If both of those general statements have no relevance to this case then it is more of the same.

In a situation where a Nazi/Fascist region is allied to the GGR, then yes, it is right to punish them for the actions of themselves and their allies.

I'm trying to remember the last time I allied myself with a region whose membership has repeatedly called for the extermination of Jews and worshipped Adolf Hitler.

...except this isn't WWI and the "Allied" forces are vastly more powerful than the "army" of the GGR.
