Yes, because it's so hard to believe ex-crasher Todd McCloud might not be a fan of defenderism.

kuddos for trying to spite a fair because you are no longer on it's creative board

You're saying this as if no other World Fair organizer ever had to face tough political questions regarding their scheduling. As if politics is something new in this game. I faced boycotts as its chief organizer, sometimes last minute boycotts - you yourself became co-founder after the threat of a boycott in 2012. I'm very familiar with the challenges of scheduling a Lecture Hall and I know that a better stab at achieving a diverse panel of lecturers could have been made than what we're seeing at this fair.

Our lecture organizer had to bail due to real-life, roughly one week before the fair.
Perhaps I could have asked you to do a lecture on harassment.

I've already done one.
And frankly, I'd like to hear from some younger blood in defenderdom. I've written more than my fair share on NationStates. I don't think there were was a strong attempt by you or your organizers to get a diverse panel of lecturers that would have interested fairgoers; when you're having trouble getting speakers, you have to press on - approaching atypical choices, pitching them ideas etc.
I mean where's the thesis on where's defenderdom headed? You have the FRA close this year and no lecture on either the history of the FRA or the future of defenderdom in its wake? What about a lecture criticizing CAIN's internal practices and its stranglehold on the WA? There's a lot of big questions hanging in the balance in Gameplay right now and not a lot of effort on the part of this year's Lecture Hall to address them.

You're not alone. I felt the same way when reading this.
