Introducing

Grey Warden Outposts

I know that there are individuals and regions out there that are interested in the Order and what it has to offer, but do not wish to sacrifice the membership or the autonomy of their current organization. This is why I am introducing the Outpost system.

Regions that wish to enroll into this system will send a representative to our forum where they will fill out an application. If the application is approved, said representative will coordinate closely with the First Warden in order to establish their own Grey Warden Outpost. Through the establishment of the Outpost, you will reap many of the benefits of being a member of the Order without having to ask your regional members to leave their region/forum of choice to come here.

In the ideal Outpost, the host region will accommodate a relatively secure area for the creation of a Warden barracks. There, the First Warden, or those empowered to do so by them, will share guides and tools for defending with your region. In these barracks, Officers may also provide opportunities for deployment, so that your region's military forces stay active in the field. Over time, you will grow and you will learn. Eventually, a member from your region can be named a Warden-Commander and they will have autonomy to run your region's outpost as they deem fit.

It is my intention to enable and facilitate the growth of your ability to protect vulnerable regions from Darkspawn attack, not to control you. However, I do have a few conditions.

1) The Region's representative that submitted the application will be named the Outpost's leader. I am to assume that by the virtue of their ability to represent your region's military abroad, that they are an authoritative member. The Outpost Leader would eventually become the leading candidate to receive Command training, unless another shows themselves to be of merit.

2) Members new and old must undergo the Joining. The Outpost Leader will be responsible for the facilitation and execution of these ceremonies.

3) Proper records must be kept. As part of the establishment of an Outpost, a template of what this looks like will be shared. The Outpost Leader is ultimately responsible for this task, but they may empower others to do so.

4) Once one of your Wardens is eligible to become a Senior Warden, they must make a pilgrimage to our forum so that the Order as a whole may celebrate their achievement and grant them their seat at the Warden-Lieutenant Conclave . This is to assure that Wardens both near and far have the same voice when it comes to the direction of the Order.

You may apply for an Outpost here: http://s15.zetaboards.com/NS_Grey_Warde ... c/8445146/

tfw you have to call off a liberation...

The Grey Wardens were ready and prepared for battle tonight. Unfortunately, we could not quite get the numbers we were hoping for. 17 liberators for a region early in the update isn't bad, but I know we can do a lot better. A big shout out to all those who came, I hope we will be successful on our next attempt. Having said that, I really want to thank my fellow Wardens who showed up impressively with a staggering 9 nations ready to jump with a few others already in the target region. We're not even a month old yet and we're already holding it down for our side. One last special thanks to Ravania for being Ravania.

We decided to follow the night's early disappointment with an opportunity to train some of our newer members, so we headed into Warzone kingdom for a quick operation. While having our fun there, a decent collective of darkspawn were sighted and we took the fight to them with our fullest might, defending a region and dissuading them from trying again. We have one massive Joining to undertake once we get back to the fortress.

We're definitely trying. It's been really nice to see all of the enthusiasm within our ranks in our opening weeks. It brings me back to my earliest days of defending in TITO when I wanted nothing more than to be a Knight.

The Grey Wardens and their allies bring cleansing fire to Christmas

The night was dark and full of terrors as Benevolent Thomas flew down Interstate 4, speeding along knowing that the fate of Christmas and Santa and even Rudolph could depend on it. It was truly dire straits, but the straits were fortunate for him tonight and he appeared at the head of the battlefield, just seconds away from when the combined forces charged forward to liberate Christmas from the Darkspawn. It was truly impressive how his griffon flew so fast, having refueled and attained the needed speeds to get there. Meanwhile, General Blitze of the Spiritus Defense Force was doing a very apt job organizing the battle lines and ensuring order in the rank, the young general showing true promise in the face of adversity. UDL Chief Ravania, as well, provided many important battlefield fortifications and siege positions for the liberation. Another important shout-out must be given to Field Commander Klopstock for his effective marshalling of both troops and ability to provide effective timekeeping methods.

All in all, it was a splendid victory by all forces involved and The Grey Wardens would like to thank all of the following militaries for showing up and contributing to the fight against Darkspawn: 10000 Islands, The AWP Regional Defense Force, The Founderless Regions Alliance, The Rejected Realms Army, The Renegade Islands Alliance Special Forces, Spiritus Defense Force, The Texas Defense Force, The United Defenders League, and anybody else we may have left out.

Finally, we'd like to give a personal shout-out to The Old Wild Life PenPal, it was his final operation tonight and he went out in a true glorious blaze of glory. Though he may grace the battlefield again in the future, other lands call to him and he must soar off to those. Until we see you again, PenPal, may you fight the darkspawn wherever you go and may the blight never taint you.

I'd like to note the word liberation being involved with said operation. This was most certainly not a raid, dear Yuno :P

Our Genlock hunting party

Another update, another darkspawn. At this rate, we will achieve immortality instead of just keeping the doctor away. This time we liberated a region from the combined forces of The Sacred Order, ANTICOM and The Varangian Guard. The darkspawn lead was not online for the update, so the Wardens lazily strolled into the region five minutes before it was due to update. This should be taken only as a temptation for Drop Your Pants to join the Order. The Wardens were joined by the "Heroes of Christmas" Ravania (UDL) and Blitze (SDF) for this operation.
