I have not checked the influence amount in yee region and of the natives, but it is likely that The Invaders will not get enough influence to password for a while. Once again, I could be wrong, as I am on my phone and haven't checked.

Anyway, anyone concerned can TG me and check this: viewtopic.php?p=30548399#p30548399

Cheers,

Well hopefully the votes to flip this result come to fruition. And hopefully in the future people who care even a little about native security and not just getting them badges will be authoring these proposals.

Good News! Tsunamy, delegate of TSP, has just switched their vote to against. Will this be the start of a Swiftly Tilting Vote, or will it come to naught but lockdown?

Depends. The resolution needs somewhere in the neighbourhood of 5,000 votes against to fail (because every vote switched to against is also a vote less for For) and I'm not sure if the superdelegates have that many votes.

I authored the proposal for the reasons listed in each clause, but thanks for your unnecessary snarky input. I have only said that another liberation is not needed, because The Invaders are likely to leave soon and they will not accumulate enough influence to impose a hidden password. Doing so would take at least a little over a month.

Cheers

Best of wishes for the safety and security of Eternal Scholars.

Yes.

I am sure by now that all of you reading this have heard of the renewed raiding effort.

With this in mind, Altos withdraws its support from the proposed resolution. It appears that all but two native nations (Altos and Trotskya) are inactive. There is simply too small of a population for sovereignty to be maintained against raiding clans. An initiative for proper immigration shall be put into place immediately, and as much effort as possible will be given to promoting civic duty in new regional members.

Best of wishes, Veritas Supra Iulius

Altos.

The Invaders may make Eternal Scholars the Michigan of the Democratic primaries.

As the co-author of this proposal, I'd encourage all regions who have previously voted For to vote AGAINST this proposal.

Me and Sygian II will resubmit the proposal at a later date and/or aid Altos in refounding the region, depending on what the situation calls for.

EDIT: Technically, this is a proposal, not a resolution.

There are still ~1700 votes tied up in >100 endorsement delegates. If they all switched to Nay (they're all GCRs except for Vancouvia and Mike), that would leave this with a 1,600 vote margin. Still a lot but way better than 10,000.

Oh this is just too good.

NE hits the region and there's a Lib. Now the Lib is being repealed months later, when The Invaders are in there, so they can lock it up themselves. Bravo!

The irony is almost too sweet.

That's unnecessarily harsh. I'm pretty confident the author did this with the best of intentions, it's hardly his fault the invaders decided to rain on the parade. If I was to get all snarky every time the Grey Wardens ballsed something up, well, I wouldn't have time left to do anything else. It'd be a full time job.

The resolution did after all have the support of the native Delegate. Are you saying that listening to the native Delegate is not caring about natives? Are you implying we should do what we think is best for native security without a concern for what those natives actually want? Because that's an incredibly patronising (but sadly very typical for defenders) attitude.

But yeah sure, just sit there and unhelpfully throw blame.

Heck, I joined the reversal train when it had only made a couple of percentage points progress! Now, "FOR" has gone from the region of 92-93% to about two-thirds.
