I originally thought this bill was great, I was extremely excited to contribute to the international community, but not sure how. After weeks of criticism and swallowing my pride... anyway I understand the concerns and it seems your right. I just hope that I can redeem myself in later proposals. I didn't take down my proposal because I wanted the WA community to decide, however I have now realized that lemmings may play to large a role in the voting process, and that may account for the support of my proposal.

Admitting that you learn from other people's reactions already makes you better than quite a few proposal authors.

OOC: Perhaps their previous decision? Nothing needed to change in the text for somebody to change their mind. At any rate, I know GA jokes are expected to generally be more subtle.

I'll note, however, that my arguments were not the same. I initially argued that the joke - which is not at all subtle, unlike most jokes found in GA resolution - would make this resolution dead-on-arrival, and I continue to believe that, but I plan to vote against it because I believe that in the event it does pass, it would damage the World Assembly's reputation. I hope that is sufficient justification for my reconsideration?

Leave out the sarcasm, I never said that. I simply asked what made you change your mind when the factors were still the same. (In other words, since the information you were presented with was the same, what made your decision different this time?)

Yes, that is a justification for reconsideration. I do not, however believe it is a good justification for voting against.

OOC: There was no external impetus that made me change my mind. After returning to the thread and reflecting on the draft, I decided that I disagreed with my previous post and posted again to reflect my new opinion.

OOC: The lemmings are not the problem, unfortunately. It is the large regions who use their forum votes to determine how their delegate will vote. These ~75 people do read resolutions and their voices count for thousands of votes.

OOC: Again, I'm worried the GA's reputation will be damaged in the eyes of GCRs and large UCRs. That is a very real possibility, as in my experience, they do not enjoy jokes in resolution.
