After an internal vote, I have voted on behalf of the Osiris Fraternal Order against this repeal. We believe Frattastan has presented compelling, though inconclusive, evidence that the author may be a sleeper agent for The Doom Squad and thus may not have the region's best interests in mind. We also have not seen a level of residential support that demonstrates certainty for this course of action.

The possibility of Asquithania being Captain Woodhouse makes little sense: he'd needed to WA-multi more than once, and with his NS background it'd be just weird (and not something he'd 'expose' to others, anyway).

How is it hurting the region?

Liberations - while being a guarantee against hostile refounds - can hurt small regions with low endorsement counts if the natives want install a secret password (to make raids harder, or to refound the region as in this case), but can't.
It should be noted that Cartanis, the native delegate, doesn't have the influence to lock down Liberal Haven yet, so delaying this repeal won't delay an eventual passwording/refounding.

At this point, it matters not who wrote it - we just want it to go through.

Naturally. I think the fact it was written by a raider, and supported by another raider from the same group (whose nation was, at the time of the posting, 'clean') calls for caution on part of SC voters, though.

The eventual goal is to make the region safe, but it's better not to rush into repealing this when it's not clear yet who is well-intentioned and who isn't.

I'm just saying that it would be nice if more people helped our rightful delegate, by sending an endorsement his way, rather than just say we're stupid for trying to stop our region from being gratified on a regular basis. Just yesterday, we got hit again. We're told if we don't want to get raided, we should password or have a founder. Well we can't well password as is, and refounding without one would be stupid and painful. So what's the solution then? Sit here and get raided? We're trying to do something about that, but no one seems to care.
