You're not alone in getting confused. It seems the Freemopian ambassador randomly selects texts from an article library, adds in a a whole slew of typos, and then presents it as a statement. I think either his translator is getting drunk at work, or else the poor thing hasn't realized that the WA HQ has babelfish aquariums for anyone that needs.

I'm going to put this through a test run. At least get an idea for how much support this might have.

This thing is close to 60% of the way to quorum without a campaign. I've got a day left and I'm really trying to suppress my urge to TG for it for the last bit. If anyone has any revisions to suggest, please make them over the next day or so. I'll be submitting this once this one expires and it will get to quorum.

Only regional delegates can approve a proposal at this stage. It's only if it reaches quorum that everyone gets to vote.

Last I checked, or last we spoke, you wanted to replace the APA, which I said I'd be in favor of if it was superior to current law. So.... how's that going?

Because unless you plan to replace this, all the arguments you've made are useless because those animals will have ZERO protection without something.

Pleased to be supporting this fine repeal. Not sure if pleased to be in agreement with Chester Pearson nut you know the old saying about a broken analog clock. I reserve the balance of my time and the right to revise and extend my remarks. If you want me, I'll be in the stranger's bar drinking a Chivas Legal.

In the Name of the Eternal Kawaii, may the Cute One be praised

As we recall, our delegation had some problems with the proposal in question, especially its apparent confusion between "ancestors" and "descendents" of animals. We would support a repeal in the hope that a better-worded version be passed.

I voted against the Animal Protection Act and voted for the two attempts to repeal it. I support this repeal proposal as well.

Good luck. :)

There are numerous folks in this very thread that have said they're working on a draft.

Belizia has a draft up here: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=265036 , but I think it would benefit from your input. This is an issue that is very important to you. And if you'd like to do this over again, that would be good as well.

I think even a flawed protection act is better than no protection act at all.

Our official stance is thus, the current act whilst not perfect protects animals as a whole from abuse. Repealing the act opens the gate to mass abuse of animals. Perhaps a simple rewriting is in order.

At the behest of Emperor Jack Layston I have been instructed to cast a vote of AYE. The original act was far too open to interpretation, and innuendo to be effective. We do hope to see some sort of replacement to this in the near future though, as this is a codifiable international issue.

Warmest regards,

You do realize that countries most likely will not focus enough on animal protection if the international law doesn't force them, right?
