This ranking seems based on industry, particularly private industry. Looking at the top of the ranking was virtually a who's who of economic giants. There are several examples of nations with no education spending atop the rankings. This doesn't mean they shouldn't be technologically advanced but n...

I have the code of the rankings. If both were in use at the same time, which seems unlikely, then the "Beef-based Agriculture" measure would've been removed as it measured exactly the same thing as the "Agriculture" one. Not just likely. It was what happened. Agriculture and Bee...

Beef-based agriculture is simply the name that Max originally used for what is now referred to as the agriculture industry. Same as Uranium Mining -> Mining, Soda Sales -> Beverage Sales, Door-to-door Insurance Sales -> Insurance, Woodchipping -> Timber Woodchipping. The name was changed in the Wor...

I think it has more to do with: Nations who answer issues in a manner that causes their taxes to rise have cumulative effects on their tax rate. Nations who answer issues in a manner that keep taxes low will generally not affect these stats, except when a higher percentage of them are created or whe...

Automobile Manufacturing is still a separate category from Manufacturing. Manufacturing was last shown April 14th and Auto Manufacturing shown last on March 20th.

If Beef-Based Agriculture has been removed, why are new nations being shown to have this non-existent category? Is this a glitch?

World Census Category Glitch

I mentioned it a few years ago (probably on a different NS forum) that the Beef-Based Agriculture category in the world census is missing. It hasn't been shown since 2004 and that seems very statistically unlikely to be a random thing. Mods told me a few years ago that they'd never heard of it (if t...
