Rise of the Legion
Latest Developments, and a Surprisingly Powerful Attack Force

Issue II: February 21, 2011

Since the previous Issue, several more incursions were carried out by IAF forces. These incursions confirmed the power of the Imperial Legion, and showed the Nation States world of the rising power that is the Legion.

The first incursion was an attack upon Iran on February 13th. That incursion saw about a dozen legionnaires of the IAF move into the region, Iran. That invasion was almost entirely successful, until about 15 minutes to update, when "Defenders" under the control of Anime Daisuki moved in and ejected IAF liberators.

Immediately afterwards, forces of the Legion moved into the region, Italy. Once there, they attempted another invasion which too was almost a success. The Defenders were not expecting an assault there, that is where they originated from. But yet again, due to the treachery of one of Italy's residents, IAF forces were thwarted. The commander of these operations were the nation, Vermillion Lakes.

Meanwhile, an undercover operation was going on in one of the largest region's in Nationstates - The Rejected Realms. The delegate there, Kandarin (Naivetry) had about 80 endorsements at the beginning of the operation. Operatives of the Legion moved in forces slowly and under the noses of the residents of the region. They endorsed the Emperor - who was under the name of Fozzeed during the operation.

After a few days of build up, and after Fozzeed came within 7 endorsements of capturing the delegacy, the operation was discovered. Crazygirl, Head of the Rejected Realms Army, sent out a telegram to all natives in the region.
... He's currently trying to invade The Rejected Realms with his puppet Fozzeed, with the support of troops from his region.
Unfortunately for the Legion, this did work, and over the course of the next few days the Endorsement level for Fozzeed dropped to about 40 on the 19th when the operation was called off. During this time, Kandarin's count climbed to a high of about 108.

This operation itself demonstrated the power and organization of the Imperial Attack Force. The region which was created less than half a year ago was able to muster a force of over 75 and come close to unseating a delegate who has remained in power for over a year. It also revealed the Legion as a powerful force to the rest of the NS World.

---

During this time, the Civilian Government was also busy. After lengthy debates which saw many legitimate points brought up, the OMNIBUS Motion 1 (Link...) and the Senatorial Procedures Motion (Link...) were both passed. This has demonstrated the power and strength of the Senate, and of the active members who participate in it.

Several new Governmental positions were appointed during this period as well. New Enterprise was selected as the Minister of Roleplay, Asciena as the Global Moderator, and Soviet Sovereignty (Sov) as Chancellor of Foreign Affairs along with his deputy, Rinamir Mortem.

---

The Roleplay Realm saw much growth and interest, with over 20 nations on the Regional Map (Link...)

There has been quite a lot going on in the Realm, with Colonization processes being undertaken, much scientific advancement, and even a Space Program. All of this has been possible due to the excellent Roleplay conducted by the members of the region.

All in all, the region has expanded and developed quite a lot since the last issue. The population has grown to 239 nations, and the region is experiencing a boom. The Legion has done quite well in the week since the last issue.

Important People:
 • Anime Daisuki - Commander of the Defenders at Iran and Italy
 • Vermillion Lakes - Commander of IAF forces at Iran and Italy.
 • Kandarin (Naivetry) - Delegate of the Rejected Realms

 • Crazygirl - Head of the Rejected Realms Army
 • New Enterprise - Minister of Roleplay
 • Asciena - Global Moderator
 • Soviet Sovereignty (Sov) - Chancellor of Foreign Affairs
 • Rinamir Mortem - Deputy Chancellor of Foreign Affairs
Former Delegate of the North Pacific (x2)

Hmm, I'm sensing a pattern here...

Uh, we still control Free Kosovo. That would be TITO's fail for 'liberating' a region whose founder didn't even want it liberated in the first place.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Forgive me for laughing so exuberantly, but this nonsense by your so called "Minister of Truth", characterizes your region perfectly.

Let's inject some reality shall we? I will rewrite this document, for the sake of unaware nations who must be insulated from your feeble manipulation.
Rise of the Legion
Latest Developments, and a Surprisingly Incompetent Attack Force

Issue II: February 21, 2011 REVISED

Since the previous Issue, several more incursions were carried out by IAF forces, a conglomerate of noobs, washed up oldies, and spies. These incursions only proved the incompetence of the Imperial Legion, and showed the Nation States world that Durkadurkiranistan's attempts to build a private army has only produced fruitless results. His members seem more interested in RPing rockets flying into space then engaging in actual intelligent gameplay.

The first incursion was an attack upon Iran on February 13th. That incursion saw about a dozen legionnaires of the IAF move into the region, Iran. The poor, confused IAF was initially exuberant as they sensed incoming victory. They were all very proud of themselves for moving to the region and endorsing the target delegate. Of course, that is the easy part, and lacking any coordination, timing, or strategic sense, they moved in over 15 minutes before the update. :palm: They were promptly ejected by capable "defenders", and we use condescending quotes because the Imperial Legion definitely is not a self declared invading force and "apex of evil".

Afterwards, forces of the Legion moved into the region, Italy. Once there, they attempted another invasion which too was almost a success. Keep in mind this is by the IAF measuring stick, where figuring out how to put your pants on is rewarded with a trophy. Unfortunately, the Italians were very "treacherous" in that they decided not to roll over and allow their region to be taken over by a bunch of incompetent loudmouths. Strike II for the IAF.

Meanwhile, an "undercover" operation was going on in one of the largest region's in Nationstates - The Rejected Realms. By undercover we mean blantantly obvious, but undercover just makes us sound better.
After the competent and tested leadership of TRR tolerated Durk's puppet gaining endorsements, they struck an unendorsement campaign at the perfect time while calling in reinforcements. Fozzeed's endos fell rapidly, no counter campaign was mounted and ample propaganda was not utilized. Durk dropped the act at the first sign of trouble, which only exacerbated Fozzeed's rapid endorsement bleed.

Nevertheless we are very proud of our impulsive attack on TRR, where we mustered a force of 75 nations, the majority of whom were locals that quickly unendorsed us when instructed by TRR leadership. :palm:
Many of the IAF also successfully endorsed Kandarin, because that was part of the plan.
---
Our sole successful raid, on Free Kosovo was rigged. Not that it will deter us from bragging about it. We were also able to eject some defenders by feigning it as a legitimate raid, and then using the founder (who could that be?) to eject them. Whoopee doo.
We did such a good job maintaining the farce that the IAF appointed Consul decided to resign because the nonexistent resistance provided so little entertainment. Next time Durk will be sure to create more puppets so we can brag about putting down a "treacherous insurrection".

Our users also wrote a lot of RP and made a Senate, then promptly confused themselves in all the red tape they had created as they violated their own rules.

Members of the IAF proudly made mention of their missions on their forum sigs, and even got promoted in the military, despite achieving only failure.

All hail Durk, in his own words, a day or so before failure in TRR
"I've taken game-created games on three separate occasions. Needless to say, I am the best who's ever lived."
