Neither euthanasia or abortion (to the extent I presume you mean) are a widespread EU thing

I think the name 'European Union' kind of tells you what most people will answer. And I seriosuly doubt that joining the EU will suddenly give America good cars.

It wouldn't work in a million years. For one thing the US would need to incorporate the ECHR into it's law, and accept ECJ jurisdiction, and the US isn't even eligible. Plus I very much doubt the public in either the EU or US would accept the idea on any level whatsoever. Indeed, as an EU citizen I find the idea of the USA being in the EU utterly repulsive.

Not to mention, most members would not agree to the idea of the US joining...Neither would most of the American people for that matter.

You know what they should do, they should form an alliance between European countries and North American countries, and call it the North Atlantic Trade Organization, or NATO for short. Then we could join that and become a world superpower :palm:
