Seal of the Siberian Foreign Legion
The Siberian Foreign Legion, one of the toughest and most disciplined military forces of the world. Recently founded, recruits from nations across the world flock to the Legion, in admiration of its power and the respect it draws. The Siberian Foreign Legion consists mostly of advanced and experienced soldiers, whether they are in fact Siberian Citizens or Citizens of nations from the rest of the world, only the finest are accepted into the ranks of the SFL.
The Siberian Legion was, originally, an idea fronted by some of the top military generals of the world at the time, and it was presented to the likes of Stalin during the Communist USSR's existence. However, fearful of 'lies' escaping the Iron Curtain of the true state of the USSR, Stalin forbid the creation of it. He believed some soldiers could join and then spread false rumours about the Legion to the world, and attempt to expose the insides of the Communist USSR.
However, Stalin did come to a compromise and as a direct result the Soviet Legion, it was a Legion founded for soldiers of Communist nations to come to the USSR and serve in the Soviet Military, to learn the fighting styles of military's of the world. After the fall of Communism and the USSR, the Russian Foreign Legion was established, and since it has thrived. Now, however, after the split, and the union, of Russia and Siberia, the Siberian Foreign Legion was formed.
The idea of the Legion is to serve under the crown of the Siberian Diarchy of the Commonwealth of Russo-Siberia. Now, the Legion has been widely regarded as a military fighting force that is feared by all. Fearless in the field, wise and strategic in the Command Posts, the Siberian Legion truly is one of the best organised military forces of the world.
The Siberian Foreign Legion must adhere to some of the strictest rules in the world. Only the finest, bravest and most disciplined soldiers of the world may join, even a slight slip-up in terms of rule following could effectively result in the expulsion of a soldier from the Legion. In fact, repeat offences within certain Regiments will result in the expulsion of an entire Regiment.
Rules:
- Each Regiment is assigned to its own Legion. Each Legion will contain a contingent (a group) of soldiers from each nation, and one regiment of Siberian Special Forces Spetsnaz troops. The contingent will either consist of an entire regiment, or should the nation prefer, a small group of soldiers. In some cases, troops are put into a single Legion, which may contain only one other person of their nationality or race, and the rest is made up of various other races and nationalities in a similar fashion.
- The Siberian Foreign Legion Regiments may operate in foreign wars and assaults of certain kinds, however, the majority of the Regiments will in fact remain scattered amongst the Colonies of Siberia or on the Siberian mainland itself.
- The Soldiers must always follow the orders of the commanding officers, to the letter, and anything else will result in severe punishment. Our officers are some of the best trained in the world, and so there is only a small chance that the order may potentially result in the death of a large number of troops, in such an event when a mission or order could seem suicidal, the order can be appealed to the 2IC. If the 2 and 3IC agree that the order is ridiculous or life threatening, then the order is dismissed.
- An oath of loyalty is to be pledged, and breaking it could in fact result in the firing squad. This may seem harsh, however, we strongly agree with the rule that all actions are for the greater good, if a soldiers actions directly effect the rest of his squads lives, then the soldier can be detained, and in some severe cases, shot on sight; even in the field.
- The maximum number of Soldiers in a Legion is as follows:
- 1 Squad - 25 Operators
- 5 Squads is one Platoon - 150 Legionnaires
- 4 Platoons is a Company - 600 Legionnaires
- 2 Companies is a Battalion - 1200 Legionnaires
- 3 Battalions is a Regiment - 3600 Legionnaires
- 2 Regiments is a Division - 7200 Legionnaires
- 2 Divisions is a Corps - 14400 Legionnaires
- 2 Corps is an Army - 28800 Legionnaires
- 3 Armies is an Legion Group - 86400 Legionnaires
- 4 Legion Groups is the Legion - 330,000 Legionnaires
The minimum requirement for each Legionary or Operator is they must speak Russian or Siberian, the only exception for this would be if the officers spoke fluent Russian or Siberian and were able to translate it into the native language of the Legionaries. This way, there will be no failure in communication.
