------------------------------------------------------------
This thread was originally inspired by the 'Caligula for President' thread, which was been fun, but which has - crucially - lacked poll potential.
The goal is to elect a Roman Emperor as president of NSG.
A FINAL RUN-OFF VOTE MUST BE HELD
As no candidate received more than 22% of the vote, a run-off must be held between the two leading candidates:
1) Gaius Octavius Thurinus, better known as Gaius Julius Caesar Augustus
"He found a city of brick, and left a city of marble - elect the man Caesar himself named as his son" campaign poster
2) Flavius Valerius Aurelius Constantinus, better known as Constantine I (aka 'Constantine the Great')
"Because too many Emperors spoil the broth" campaign poster
You are encouraged to actively campaign against your opponent; witty and original slander - and historical accuracy - is encouraged, but base electioneering is also welcome (but try and keep it clean).
Campaigning in Latin is allowed, but remember that only a limited number of us will understand you.
You don't have to spoiler a new campaign poster, but must spoiler any quoting of existing posters, like I did here for this poster for the sadly neglected, but now eliminated, candidate Didius Julianus:
Voting will remain open for four days (because I've probably milked this as far as I can by now).
