Qazox a win away from best finish in 16 years.
in our semifnal review, we stated that the Qazox bullpen was in need of depth. So far in the 3rd place series vs. Silver Beach, the bullpen's seen nothing but the pen itself as another complete game puts Qazox up 2-0. Sean Carey went the distance, allowing just an unearned run in the 7th, as Qazox moved 1 win from taking home 3rd place. If the Pheonix do manage to win this series, it will be their best finish since WBC9, when they last won a title.
Grant Hendell allowed 6 runs to score, giving Qazox a 6-0 lead, before being pulled with 2 outs in the 7th. A good day for Carl Holmes, who drove in the last 3 runs for Qazox, breaking out of a 4-for-26 slump. Jerri Werth will start Game 3 against Louis De Graza.

General,
You have done well. Congratulations on making this mission a great success! This is great moment for Newmanistan, and you have led it well. The Empire now has complete control over the Penthoria River. We have annexed Amherst, and Newmanistan-ized it. We have taken control over the former nation of Secristan; other then what was given to Cassadaigua, and havw increased the land mass of the Empire by about 33%. With this, we will be able to expand our realm of influence. Newmanistan will flourish, because if we know anything about people that used to be referred to as Secristanis, it is that they will pay for just about everything. Our companies can do more business there, and the Palace can create public programs for them as well. Don’t get me wrong, general, I want the best for the people, because they are now Newmanistanian. We will put well-trained and ready people in place in our new territory to care and prepare are new civilians for this next chapter in their lives. You have played an enormous role in this, and I will reward you in Pocono City upon your return home.
That, General, is something you and your men can do tomorrow. Pack up. We will prepare for your return. However, in the meantime, I would like for you to do something else. I realize it is a little late to get you to St. Catherine, Lycrabon for game six of the finals, but if we force that game seven, I would you and Sargent Hillcrest to go there and speak and the team. Give them that message of bravery, courage, and never backing down from anything that you have made such a big part of your life. I will take care of all the details of getting you there. I really hope we have that game 7. And after all you have been through, I know how very relaxing it would be for you. You have earned it. The Empire thanks you.
Sincerely,
Emperor Michael IV
