The Lost Hero

Postby Zykorinov » Sun Nov 07, 2010 8:57 am

Holy shit, what a way to start up a series.

This is going to be truly epic.

The Giants rising, Percy is at the Roman Half-Blood camp, Jason is now the "leader" of the Greek camp. A flying warship, a quest to Greece. The Gods having to team up with their demigods to kill the giants, and the next book comes out...

FALL 2010!?!?!?!

Fuck that. Bitch needs to write faster.

Actually, I didn't like the Lost Hero. Some of the characters were Mary-Sues *cough*Piper*cough*, and the changes of POV were confusing. Sticking to one characters view would have been much better.
I am glad that one of my favourite characters plays a significant role, Thalia, I never would have imagined that she had a brother. Though I am mad that Nico is only mentioned twice in the entire book.
All in all, the book wasn't the greatest. If the next book is going to mainly about Percy, I don't know if I will read it. I can't stand Percy.

#1: Piper isn't a "Mary-Sue". She can charmspeak. Whoop-dee-doo.

#2: I agree. The changes of view were kinda confusing. Couldn't tell who was who in some cases.

#3: Also agree. The 1st series didn't even HINT to her having a brother.

#4: Agree^3. Nico needs more attention.

#5: Whaaat? Percy is a badass.

Oh, this is about Percy Jackson. My 13 year-old brother reads that.
I am from Canada | I'm some kind of Socialist | And also Batman
"Never be deceived that the rich will permit you to vote away their wealth." - Lucy Parsons
Socialism is an economic system characterised by social ownership of the means of production and co-operative management of the economy. "Social ownership" may refer to cooperative enterprises, common ownership, state ownership, citizen ownership of equity, or any combination of these. There are many varieties of socialism and there is no single definition encapsulating all of them. They differ in the type of social ownership they advocate, the degree to which they rely on markets or planning, how management is to be organised within productive institutions, and the role of the state in constructing socialism.
