Alexander took the floor again. "I do not believe that those issues have anything to do with this office. The duties of the Lord Speaker, according to the constitution of the Imperial Commonwealth, are and I quote "The lord speaker is the moderator of the Commonwealth Council and chairs all meeting of the council. The lord speaker is elected by the council at the start of the new session and serves for the entire duration. It is the responsibility of the lord speakers to ensure all meetings run to order and follow all protocol and procedure. All motions are presented by the lord speakers and they cast tie breaking vote when the council enters a deadlock.". I feel that those issues are why the Imperial Commonwealth was created, to protect monarchies from the issues and the communists, among others. Yes, Monarchies have been around for a while. But I believe that being an older form of government gives us an advantage over other forms of government. And what exact problems are you speaking of, with the communists?"

"I believe that the honourable delegate from Menassa has a valid point. The impending revolutions of the communists and socialists are great threats to our forms of government. However, I think that we must expedite the elections of our officers in order to remedy these problems."

"I agree that we must expedite the elections. I hope this is allowed, Sir Robert and if it isn't please do tell me to stop, I believe if Sir Darren Crowden does not give his reasons for us to vote for him in the next twenty-four hours, we eject him from this election. He would no longer be a candidate for Lord Speaker, it would be a direct election between Alexander Jefferson and Viscount Ceciliana " Lord David stood up and said.
