Who is scarier, Voldemort or Grindelwald?

Postby Sliabh Grianas » Thu Jan 23, 2025 11:13 am

So every time I watch Fantastic Beasts, I start thinking about the whole "Ah Voldemort was the most powerful wizard" thing, but I think it could genuinely be argued that Grindelwald is scarier than Voldemort. Idk, but like Voldemort is obviously evil, and it's not like he tries to hide the fact that he's evil. Grindelwald, on the other hand, is charismatic. Voldemort, I concede, is definitely more powerful, but Grindelwald has power in ways other than dark magic. He's really good at sounding convincing, and it's not obvious that he has evil intentions. So in that way I'd say Grindelwald is scarier than Voldemort.

So, they are two different kinds of evil.

For muggles, Grindelwald is scarier.

For non-pureblood wizards, Voldemort is scarier.

Since I am a talking sheep and thus at best a magical creature... Meh?
