Following from the logic of its previous iterations, this will be of essentially the same concept but on a far grander scale. You will attempt to navigate through history, constructing a shining city upon a hill, with each aspect modified until completely flawless. Or, at least… until it’s good enough.
However, reflecting upon the mistakes of the past, there have been a few rules installed. READ THEM BEFORE BEGINNING - I CANNOT STATE THIS ENOUGH.
1. No godmodding, aside from the mods if it violates one of the laws.
2. No idealism. Everything has a prior cost, and everything has consequences. Everyone begins with legitimately nothing aside from the flesh on their bones. Nothing more. If you want a space station? Cool! Go ahead! You just have to figure out everything else.
3. No monkey business/silliness. Every action should be ideally devoted to either creating a good - but realistic - town, or furthering your own interests. There will be no actions that are actively done for a joke.
4. Always follow the Golden Rule.
5. If you want something, you have to work for it. If you want to drill for oil, you need to uncover the technology. If you want to uncover the technology, you need to find a reservoir. So on and so forth. In short, you begin as cavemen, and work your way up from there.
6. Expanding upon the previous idea, this thread shall follow the natural progression of history. No, you cannot have a representative parliamentary democracy upon year two of the towns existence. It’s either tribal oligarchy, priest-based monarchy, or you don’t play at all. For simplicity’s sake, we’re following the Whig model of history.
Now, this cities name shall be Waelscyr. It is based within wide, open, fertile plains, and it stands alongside a river. Go.
