Map of Valanora

Valanora Information
The most important thing to know about traveling through Valanora is that automobiles are banned except for government officials. A high tech railway system connects the entirety of the nation, with three most popular international airports in Raynor City, Gladerial, and Baysleef. A ferry from Rinaldi travels to and from the island of Capri every hour on the hour. The most distinguishing feature of Valanora is the prevalent amount of forests standing in many of the inner half of the nation, even in cities, with the elven attempts to live in harmony with nature. Vanorians are a polite if not a bit high on themselves, believing elvenkind to be superior to humans, though they show a respect for the potential their humanoid cousins have.

"Do a head count while we board the train, Thomas. I don't want to explain to the press how we accidently left someone in Raynor City all alone."

The aide nodded and boarded the high speed rail train first while Consolación Regina and the rest of the Youthful Survivors squad followed suit. The squad was headed over to Mar Sara, their home for the group stage of the 59th Di Bradini Cup or the 80th U-21 World Cup as it was known in the past. Sarzonia, Lisander, Xanneria, and Eastfield Lodge were also on route to round out Group D.

Once there, the teams would split games between Donna Cathedral and Artani. For Zenic, a quick start was essential as the Youthful Survivors would be resting on the 5th matchday so guarantying qualification before then would vastly increase their chance to win their first DBC. It certainly helped that one of the stadiums, Artani, was the site of their 4-2 victory in the third place playoff against Sangti and the Filindo Isles during the previous edition of this competition. Regina hoped that the positive emotion associated with that event would guarantee at least two victories in this round robin.

"Everyone accounted for, coach."

"Thank you, Thomas. Now, find your seat before the train sends you flying," Regina replied before Thomas scurried off to his seat. "You know that the train rides are incredibly smooth here," her assistant manager Paškal stated. "I know. But it assures me that he'll be at his seat instead of meandering about and getting into unneeded trouble. He's a good kid but his clumsiness will get him into trouble." Paškal silently agreed before going back to his scouting report.

"Talk to me, Vaclovas." The assistant manager took a quick look over everything. "Eastfield is up first at the Cathedral with their somewhat aggressive 4-2-3-1 in their first DBC in a while. Then we get back to back at Artani. Sarzonia running an uber balanced 4-4-2, hoping to reach the knockout stages after failing last tournament. Following them is Lisander with their hyper aggressive 4-3-3, looking for the same future results as Sarzonia. Finally, we head back to Donna Cathedral to square up with Xanneria and their somewhat aggressive 3-4-3 formation as it looks like they hope to impress in their first outing."

"Analysis?" Paškal scratched his nose briefly before answering. "Three wins guarantees knockouts for us but two wins and two draws also works and is mathematically more probable. Go for the win every game but don't push too hard and snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory, as the saying goes." Regina nodded. "It doesn't help that our first opponents are fellow Rushmoris either. That urge to be the better team in the region will make everything tougher."

"But stick to the gameplan and we should win," Paškal uttered before taking a brief introspection. "Hopefully, those don't become famous last words."

This RP is somewhat connected to this World Cup 98 RP.

No one can help but notice the animosity within Aphrilia's U21 team.

There was a feeling of... Resentment and spite as the team was training in preparation for the start of the Di Bradini Cup. Everyone on the team had this sort of wariness towards several specific individuals. When Christopher Veront announced the call-up of certain Under 21 team players, some were shocked. Others confused as to why, and a few felt a bit of hatred. As everyone did their routines, Alexander Burns approached his now actual best friend, Jessica Rhine-Faust (Who had to fly to Valanora, alongside some other players after Matchday 2 of the World Cup Qualifying to be at the tournament because she's still the team captain).

"You think the coach will resolve this problem? The team doesn't seem to be ready if this whole "certain few of us being picked" thing doesn't get solved." Alex asked the Nekori. "I don't know... We'll just have to see for now. Just don't make it worse." She replied. Honestly, flying back and forth between countries to play in two "tournaments" was a prospect that was tiring her. And the fact that she's the de facto captain for both of these teams was weighing on her as well, even if she did good for her first time on the senior.

"I can do that, not sure about the others though. Someone is going to tip the balance wrong and piss off everyone, I feel." Alex remarked as he glanced around the field.

And as he said that, there seemed to be a commotion. One of the team's players, a girl with white and pink-ish hair seemed hurt with two people holding back another player. "I jinxed it didn-" "Come on." Before Alex could finish ruminating on what he said, Jessica dragged him along to see what the commotion is even about. When the two arrived, the ones holding who turned out to be Hannah Morgan-Keyes backed off (Dylan Macintosh and Haiden Lane). Hannah appeared to have calmed down before she continued on her outburst.

"I genuinely don't get it! Why were you and several others picked over everyone else, considering the DBC hadn't even started! Feeling as if we were just casted aside without a second thou-" "Hannah, calm down. There must have been a reason why the coach-" Haiden tried to cut off Hannah, but she quickly responded. "I can't see a good reason, Haiden! Think about it, we weren't even given a chance in our final tournament! The deciding one! It could be something menial like favoritism to anything criminal such as bribery!"

"I don't think it's good to be accus-"

"Shut up, Theresa!" Screamed Hannah. The white and pink-ish haired girl, who's now revealed to be Theresa Villa, quickly shuts up. Everyone on the team was focused with what was going on right now. "You and any one of who were promoted to the senior could've had a hand in your call-up! Hell, you're a teñvana! You probably used magic to-"

"SHUT IT, HANNAH!"

Everyone was suddenly stunned. That shout, no, command, came from Jessica of all people. Even Alex was a bit shocked as he was on the brunt of her voice. All eyes were on the team captain, and knowing that, her message was clear. "I will not tolerate any accusations of foul play nor racial remarks from anyone here! If there was a reason some of us were chosen over others, then I believe the coach would have said so! Hannah, if you want to have been chosen for the senior team so bad, then use this tournament to show that!"

Her words were met with an awkward silence. After a while, that silence was broke with Hannah muttering "whatever" before storming off. "What is everyone waiting for? Get back to training or be done for today!" Jessica added on since no one was responding. One by one the team either continued on training (Albeit quite demoralized) or left the training field to be done for the day. Once the dust settled, Theresa approached the two. "Thanks, Jessica. You didn't need to do that... I just naturally trouble everyone else."

"No probl-" Before Jessica could formulate a complete sentence, Theresa just straight up left the training field without giving a second glance. She looked at Alex in slight confusion. "Well that happened." She stated. "Yeah, that did." Alex replied. "But if I'm being honest, my two questions are...

What in the world is a teñvana and what did Theresa mean by that?"
"...I'll never trust the same, I'll see friendship as just another game...! Full of winners and losers, selfish abusers... You failed to fly but somehow I’m to blame...!?"

Will the Snowy Owlets’ Finally Soar?

The Snowy Owlets have arrived in Valanora, ready to write a new chapter in their Di Bradini Cup history. The squad, full of some of the brightest talent from the Tikariot Premier League and featuring a few exciting dual nationals, has rekindled the nation’s hope for the team to finally deliver a deep tournament run, something that has eluded them for so long. Spirits are high, yet the shadow of past disappointments looms large.

A Grand Welcome in Gladerial
The team’s flight landed at Gladerial International Airport to an electric atmosphere. Hundreds of fans had gathered under a pale Vanorian moon, waving Tikariotian flags, chanting songs, and holding up banners with slogans like “Owlets Soar High” and “Belfrage for Glory.” Clad in their trademark black garments with the typical burgundy and white accents, the supporters carried their signature torches, much to the chagrin of some of the security personnel as they escorted the team bus to their hotel.

The procession felt more like a victory parade than an arrival, and the players couldn’t help but be swept up in the excitement. Giulietta Longobardi was spotted clapping along with the fans from inside the bus, while Mirae Robichaud-Carrier took out her phone to capture the surreal scene. Outside the hotel, the crowd gathered for a powerful Thunder Clap. Players and staff joined in, their synchronized claps and cries creating a spine-tingling moment that symbolized unity and determination.

“This is the energy we thrive on,” said captain Andarra Belfrage, her silver hair shimmering under the torchlight. “Wherever we go, we know our fans will be there and look at them, how can you not get excited with this?” She motions toward the fans gathered around them, the torches flickering in the Gladerial night.

“The fans’ passion reminds us of what we’re here to achieve.” Even reserve goalkeeper Rasmus Stålheden, typically reserved, admitted he felt goosebumps. “It’s moments like these that make you realize what we’re in for and who we’re really playing for,” he said.

Settling In
The team’s hotel in Gladerial buzzed with activity as players unpacked and explored their surroundings. The lobby quickly became a social hub, with players lounging on plush couches, swapping stories, and trying to outdo each other in a heated foosball match. Giulietta Longobardi dominated early rounds, but Mytanija-born midfielder Franjo Raić-Sudar pulled off an upset, much to the amusement of the team.

Breakfast the next morning provided a glimpse into the squad’s dynamics. Mirae Robichaud-Carrier and Giulietta Longobardi, both avid coffee enthusiasts, formed a morning ritual of scouting the best cafés nearby, which surprised some bystanders as all too often players are confined to the hotel or training facilities. They returned with steaming cups and pastries, earning gratitude from teammates like Solfrid Frøya Fiskerstrand-Kyvåg, who admitted she was hopeless before her first sip of coffee.

Meanwhile, Jessie Redpath’s blunt humor occasionally clashed with Solfrid’s quieter demeanor. During a team meeting, Jessie joked about Solfrid’s note-taking, prompting an eye roll from the latter. Despite their differences, the Scarlet Sentinels’ on-field chemistry cannot be overstated. “It’s like fire and ice,” Andarra Belfrage remarked with a laugh. “But they balance each other out perfectly.”

Reserve players brought their own flavour to the team’s camaraderie. Cassiopeia Hawthorne became the resident magician, surprising teammates with some card tricks during downtime, while Hjördis Granath had everyone in stitches with his uncanny impressions of coach Pierica Dantario’s serious pre-match talks.

The First Training Session
The next morning, the Snowy Owlets held their inaugural training session at the iconic White Fortress stadium. The air buzzed with anticipation as fans gathered to watch the closed-door practice, peeking through the gates for glimpses of their heroes.

Coach Dantario kicked off the session with a motivational speech, putting her usual emphasis on teamwork and adaptability. “Every one of you brings something unique to this squad,” she said. “Trust in each other, and we’ll make history.”

The players began with light drills before transitioning to tactical exercises. Standouts during training included, unsurprisingly, Andarra Belfrage, whose grace and precision drew applause even from the coaching staff, and Wiołeta Motyka, whose relentless energy saw her dart past defenders until they gave up and just walked off the field.

A lighthearted moment came when reserve goalkeeper Akello Kyomugisha stopped a penalty from Mirae Robichaud-Carrier and broke into an elaborate celebration dance. “Save some of that for the matches,” even Dantario could not keep a straight face, sparking laughter.

Behind the Scenes at the Hotel
Back at the hotel, life for the Snowy Owlets was anything but dull as well. The team’s nutritionist, Janneke de Vos, became an unlikely star after an impromptu cooking session with some of the players. “You can’t live on pasta alone,” she said as she introduced a simple yet nutritious quinoa salad. Redpath, initially skeptical, ended up eating two servings.

Evenings were often reserved for team-building activities. One night, the players gathered for a movie screening, settling on a Valanoran fantasy epic. Jessie Redpath’s commentary on the battle scenes had everyone in stitches, while Giulietta Longobardi critiqued the costumes like a true critic.

Not every moment was harmonious, though. A minor spat erupted between Motyka and Claes-Göran Thelin over music choices in the gym, with Motyka favoring upbeat pop for her workout and Thelin preferring heavy metal. “We’re not exactly syncing our playlists,” Thelin joked later, “but on the pitch, we’re in perfect rhythm.”

Press Conference Highlights
Later in the day, Dantario, Belfrage, and Giulietta Longobardi faced the media. The questions ranged from tactical plans to personal anecdotes. One reporter asked Belfrage how she stays so composed under pressure. “It’s all about perspective,” she said. “If I’m calm, the team’s calm. Besides, I know those nutcases have my back,” which sparked widespread laughter.

Longobardi, when asked about her physical style of play, grinned. “If I can’t go around them, I’ll go through them. It’s not personal; it’s football.”

Coach Dantario was pragmatic about the challenges ahead. “We’re in a tough group, but that’s what makes tournaments exciting. Every game will test us, and we’re ready.”

Expectations and Challenges
The Snowy Owlets’ journey begins with a clash against Abanhfleft, a team known for its physicality and high-pressing style. The following match against Quebec & Shingoryeo promises some high emotions, with dual-national players on both sides adding an extra layer of competitiveness with Robichaud-Carrier in the black and burgundy and Antoine Offord captaining the opponents. With powerhouses like Banija also in the group, the road to the knockout stages will definitely be anything but a walk in the park.
For the fans and pundits back home, hope is mixed with apprehension. Can this generation overcome past frustrations and deliver on its promise? With leaders like Belfrage, the Scarlet Sentinels anchoring the defense, and a roster brimming with flair and determination, we will soon get the answers.

Banijans prep for the Di Bradini Cup with 'new crop' of youngsters

GLADERIAL, VALANORA- There's a lot going on in the world of global sport right now- least of all, World Cup Qualifying. But while the present is being duked out on fields and pitches across the multiverse, there is an eye towards the future as well. And the Di Bradini Cup is out there, to make that happen. The U21 World Cup, which Banija participates in sporadically, is back, and the U21s from Banija are here. "With tournaments like these, it is all about program building." George Wangolo told reporters. "We are about success right now, but we will always need more players in the future. Tournaments like these are great opportunities for players to step up, and to separate themselves from the crowd."

We've had quality performances here, and we have had breakout players in this tournament. Layvin Son-Saka, the current captain, had a dazzling performance in this tournament. Gitonga Kahara, probably the most hyped Banijan prospect of all time, came out to a stunning debut all the way back at DBC 42- before Banija had even ever made a World Cup Finals. And while we don't have any prospects this time quite on that level, there is a solid group of players, a number of which have reasonable expectation to be playing for the senior national team at some point in their careers.

While the roster is primarily domestic, we looked abroad- there are a ton of Banijans who ply their trade in Valanora. 23 man roster- 19 playing in the S-FPL, and four of them playing across the water, in Valanora- three of them starters here. While George Wangolo won't be here in person to scout (a little bit busy), the RBSA will have a close eye on proceedings here. "Ultimately, this is going to be a tremendous opportunity for everyone involved- players and coaches. While this tournament will have less media attention than previous ones, due to calendar, a run here is going to break through. Could have some tremendous opportunities that players create for themselves."

This is certainly true- RBSA scouts, obviously, will be tracking meticuously. But even beyond that, at the club level- all 10 Banijan S-FPL teams are sending scouts to track the national team's games and practices. Players trying to use this tournament to launch forward in the club world will have the opportunity to do exactly that.

The World Cup, clearly, is where an awful lot of eyes are directed. But before the multiverse's eyes are trained on The Kytler Peninsulae for the tournament-opening contest in Zube (before another 103 matches across four nations to follow), Kytlerian eyes are trained elsewhere. Because while their senior side aren't involved in World Cup qualifying - on the not-unreasonable grounds that they have already qualified as hosts - the Under-21s are in Di Bradini Cup action.

As is becoming the norm, SO-KP (Soccer Association of The Kytler Peninsulae) are using this as an opportunity to explore a different identity around an NSL manager with a record of managing young talent. This time, that's Aardswood United - noted as the most youthful side in a league that's not overflowing with super-veterans as it is - and their boss Thomas Hooker, a former Ranford & Willsbrook assistant who has ported The Law's 4-1-4-1 to the Eastern Downs side and bounced them back from a surprise relegation three seasons ago to return them to their typical mid-table security. There has been the volatility you might expect from such an inexperienced side - Aardswood memorably lost 9-0 to eventual champions Edencliff one week and then bounced right back the next to put five without reply past an AFC Carroll Lewiston side who were third at the time - but overall, there has been promise, and a clear sense of Hooker's tactical ideas being put in motion.

So what are those ideas? A fluid front five where everyone's expected to chip in off the ball - a useful piece of discipline-building for these young attacking starlets? - protected by a deep-lying holding midfielder that can effectively turn this into a three-CB formation and free up the full-backs to charge forward. The Ranford & Willsbrook incarnation of this formation has been built around an explicit false 9 (Benjamin Zbogar-Zolnir for three hugely productive seasons, fellow Mytanar pressing forward Zahid Tahirovic following the sale of "Buzz" back to Mytanija just as that country dissolved back into political violence) and a false 10 (pocket-sized Norrhem poacher Katrina Frisk); Aardswood lack that kind of obvious pairing for now, but this DBC side has an obvious Frisk-alike in Hjördis Sigurdsdóttir to play behind a more conventional striker in Charles Packard. (Angufams Goings, one of several young talents to come out of the Zube Vephra academy of late but the only one to make this squad, could still make an impact as a newer-school pressing forward.)

It's a setup that the players are excited to be part of. "The fact that he's got such a clear identity and sticks with it, you know your role even if you play a different one in your club side, so it's relatively easy to adjust and that's always important," observed Wecoisus Rirvymoles - the FC Alaer teenage midfielder who has been burdened with the "next Vincent" tag based on seemingly little more than position and that being the lazy comparison for Kytlerians at this point. "And it plays to our collective strengths, the energy we bring out of possession and the fluidity we can bring with the ball when we get it back."

This is arguably the most stereotypical Kytlerian side to ever don the Margaret green, in fact - without even the BFGs to counterbalance a team built on foundations of smaller players who are confident on the ball and can run all day. "I think a lot of teams - and honestly I've done it at Aardswood to an extent with (Vdaran teenage defensive midfielder Lukis) Littlikis the last couple of years - lean on having the big lad as a crutch," Hooker told a press conference ahead of the tournament. "I think that if you don't have that crutch, you develop players better in all technical aspects of the game, and so I've really valued that with this squad and am very excited to have them learn on the job. That's been the priority for SO-KP all along with the Di Bradini Cup, and that's not changing now."
Out of international isolation and... winning things? Huh?

Match Report and findings from the desk of Malia Mabitz

Pre-game thoughts:
With a squad of just 19 players we were already thin on the ground but then with the clash of the senior world cup and the requirement for some of our players to represent the senior team we have lost Starkzahn, Syllis and Greenfeather. We have managed to retain Greenbottle as we have no other valid options for left back so Apollinaris agreed they could rejoin our squad here in Valanora. A debate has been had surrounding the Balskadu pair of Etsov and Lebedyenko, Apollinaris demands both as first choice substitutes however Lebedyenko is a starter within my setup and therefore GEMFA (Grand Exultian Multiversal Football Association) have agreed he needs to rejoin the 21s. This leaves us very thin in the middle of the pitch and either we will need to request special dispensation from Valanora to call up extra players or we will need to change our shape, let’s see how we do in the first game as we now have no valid left winger hence the requirement for Greenbottle who will be played out of position.

This leaves us with a starting eleven of Goodberry, Myr Shraak, Taylor, Kaputkuchen, Springfoot, Lebedyenko, Fellblade, Greenbottle, Delfholt, Herzok and Stormblaze with Myr Shraak playing a more central role than customary representing one of the three central defenders and Greenbottle now playing more forward as a left winger. With the distinct lack of depth now found in the already limited squad I am likely to have to resort to a 5 at the back with wingbacks and rotate the strikers so as not to burn them out too quickly, already looking at the bye week as a valuable respite for the players.

Our first opposition the Panayense are a known nation but not one we have come up against very often within the footballing world so it will be hard to tell how this game will go, they have more options with a much deeper squad than we have so it will be a big ask of our players.

Post game thoughts:
Well that went well, really well actually. Well we could have scored a few more goals but to win with a clean sheet is a really positive start and I couldn’t have asked for more from the players. Myr Shraak looked as if they had played as a centre back their whole life and Greenbottle did not look out of their depth on the left which is such a relief.

Defensively we are solid, the pace of Myr Shraak really played into our hand and I cannot fault the positioning of the other two. Luckily we have been able to rotate the defence as our only 3 subs at the moment are defenders (probably why we didn’t score more, strikers did look tired), and everyone fit into the shape nicely and did there job covering the ground required.

Set pieces are going well and the players are listening and more importantly taking in what I’m saying so pleased as punch with that. I mean did you see the run Kaputkuchen made to meet that corner, almost leapt over the Panayense defender who tried marking him, heading into the goal, textbook really guiding the header down practically bouncing on the line, keeper really had no chance and I always feel bad for the youngsters at the whistle when their heads drop but absolutely buzzing for my squad as they send a message to their group that they want this and no team is going to find an easy game against them.

I don’t know who will read this, whether these are the ramblings of a mad woman or a diary entry, but I just needed to clear my head.

Nova Calania loses Di Bradini's opening match

Sabinal, Sabine - The 59th Di Bradini cup has finally kicked off and the Under 21 Nova Calanian team is in group C against The Kytler Peninsulae, TJUN-ia, Aphrilia and Kanzilia. We have many players on the team who can eventually make the senior national team. Skylar Olszewska is the only decent striker on the Under 21 team and could eventually join the senior national team but only as a reserve player. I doubt she can be better than Goudreau-Luneau, Guénette-Velazquez, Malboeuf or Berlinguette who are currently the top 4 senior strikers. At midfield, Jake O'Hearn, Grzegorz Kryszalowicz and Haley Dockendorf Salazar are the ones with the most potential. Only O'Hearn have a chance to eventually be on the starting XI of the senior national team. The other two will be backups. O'Hearn is a surname to watch in the upcoming years. Jake's sister Wynter is currently on the Under 18 roster but I don't know if that tournnament will actually happen. They also have a younger brother, Owen, who plays midget hockey in Burnham-On-Stove and is eligible in the next Western Hockey League draft. Let's talk about Nova Calania junior hockey. We have the WHL(Western Hockey League) with teams from Burnham, Shanzhou and Aztec Confederacy, the OzHL (Odlegla Ziemia Hockey League) and finally the Ligue de Hockey Junior Majeure de Saint-Jean-Jacques-sur-Mer (LHJMSJJSM). A champion from each leagues, along with a host, competes anually for the Memorial Cup to become the Nova Calanian champion.

I'm actually off topic, let's talk about our defenders. Krzysztof Olkowski, Nicolas Montpetit-Hervieux, Paloma Santana-Dubreuil, Alejandra Jimenez Sanchez and Alexa McCaskill, the younger one of 4 McCaskill siblings, all have a good chance to eventually make the senior team roster. Out of them, only Olkowski and maybe Jimenez Sanchez have a chance to be on the starting XI and the other ones will probably be reserve players. It's actually difficult to predict goalkeepers potential, but I'd say that none of the actual DiBradini goalkeepers are good enough to eventually play on the senior national team.

The Under 21 team actually played a match against The Kytler Peninsulae and lost 1-0. the sole goal of the game was scored at the 33rd minute when Hjördis Sigurdsdottir made a header pass to Charles Packard who heads it past Nathaniel O'Hara and the score at halftime was 1-0 The Kytler Peninsulae. It was also the final score. Grzegorz Kryszalowicz injured himself in the 2nd half and will miss matchday 2 against TJUN-ia. Stanislaw Kurowski will replace him in the starting XI. The game will still be played in Sabinal, then after matchday 2, we're gonna have a train ride to Caddo and I love train rides in Valanora, it's actually the best part of my job. I always sit by the window and watch the landscape. In another news. Sébastien Boissonneault, currently listed as the Under 21 goalkeeping coach, has been named the senior team goalkeeping coach. The new Under 21 goalkeeping coach is Qingzhao Xiao. I don't have much information about her.

GAME SUMMARY
37th GOAL THE KYTLER PENINSULA Charles Packard assisted by Hjördis Sigurdsdottir

Like nothing really changed

Talk about picking up right where you left off. The Youthful Survivors were off to the races in their opening match of the 59th Di Bradini Cup, winning 4-1 against fellow Rushmore residents Eastfield Lodge. Once again, we are here in Valanora, this time amongst a significantly smaller field of competitors: only 20 against the usual 32. The matchup at Donna Cathedral was reminiscent of the 4-2 victory Zenic earned over Sangti and the Filindo Islands at the Artani during the 3rd place playoff of the 58th Di Bradini Cup.

Consolación Regina's squad struck early against Toby Callahan's squad, as Ljubica Hristina finished off a web of passes in and around the box featuring both forwards and most of the midfield. To end the first half, Martina Fátima scored in her second straight U-21 tournament with a header off a Mihailo Jevrem corner. A 2-0 scoreline heading into the second half was identical to the 3rd place playoff, albeit with much different squads and scorers.

The second half offered only a slight variation to the formula as Esequiel Galla scored for the Eastfielders to make it 2-1 after 53 minutes. The joy would be short-lived as Jevrem's cross from the right side of the pitch would find a running Amilcare Josias, who would redirect the ball into the back of the net with his left foot to put the scoreline at 3-1 six minutes later. After a few substitutions from both sides, Matouš Ksenija struck the ball from 19 meters out and got it past Ily Dale to finalize the score at 4-1 once the final whistle blew.

With that result, Group D's Zenic joins Group A's Montesor, Group B's Tikariot, and Group C's The Kytler Peninsulae and Aphrilia as leaders of their respective DBC groups after the first matchday. Squads resting on the first matchday include several former U-21 world champions such as Valanora, Banija, Kanzilia, and Lisander. Coming up next, the Youthful Survivors will travel within the city of Mar Sara to the actual site of their 3rd place playoff victory, the Artani, to battle against Sarzonia of Arrosia region.

A victory here would put Zenic squarely in the driver seat of Group D while a loss would put Sarzonia in the favorable spot heading into the halfway point of the group stage. And Regina will have her hands full dealing with a Junior Stars side that put up the same amount of goals while playing a significantly more conservative playstyle than the Youthful Survivors.

Will she make any changes to the squad or will she hold steady and take this squad into battle for supremacy of Group D? No matter the result, the Leinz Herald will be your trusted source for all of the Di Bradini Cup action.

They had gotten past Matchday One with a good win against TJUN-ia.

Even if it was only a 1-0 win, the team despite pre-tournament implosions had started their campaign with a win. The senior team was also doing well despite the lack of several players due to them being in Valanora for the Di Bradini Cup. And whilst the win had uplifted the team's mood temporarily, a new revelation from the team manager had pretty much dampened all of it. The revelation specifically was about why some players were chosen over others when the DBC hadn't even started at the time.

"Because I believe those that I have called-up will succeed. I've made my own calls, and those who were called will answer." Those were the words that senior team manager Christopher Vermont had said to U21 manager Anthony Christwell, and now the team finally hears it. Safe to say some players were angry, others were perplexed, and a few just accepted it as it is. A man like Christopher Vermont is difficult to convince otherwise, but it'll be damning if some don't try to prove themselves in this edition of the Di Bradini Cup to prove the man wrong. The likes of Hannah Morgan-Keynes, Masato Kyoya, and a few more are taking that route of convincing Vermont otherwise.

Phillip Edinson, Luna McFloran, and Calico Knacke were part of the perplexed group. Despite the latter having been one of the players that were called up to the senior team, even he was confused. Why in the world did Vermont make this decision? What was going through the much, much older Aphrilian's head? None of them could really tell, and considering the situation right now, trying to figure that out and come to a conclusion was a massive waste of time. Who knows why Vermont decided to make that decision.

Our two key characters in Jessica Rhine-Faust and Alexander Burns however...

Well, the two were part of the very few who just accepted the situation. While Jessica's call-up was planned, Alex's call-up wasn't. It definitely does seem selfish of him to not care since he is benefitting from all of this, but Alex knows what the senior team manager is like from Jessica's own experience before he even met him, well, himself. So it's probably best not to care and actually do something that may be productive. Alex was wondering what a Teñvana was ever since Hannah and Theresa had that scuffle of theirs.

And so, the two were located in Jessica's room right now after the two had scoured to find and collect any information possible. It would've been much better if they were back in Aphrilia to find anything from books in libraries, but online knowledge had to do for now. Unfortunately, the two had only found one piece of knowledge online. They had printed it and it was on the room table as they looked at each other. "Ready to figure things out, Alex?" Jessica asked him. He responded simply and quickly.

"Sure as hell I am."

Categorization of Difference/Similarity & "Mythical" "Ohia"? - 19XX
There are many subspecies of ohia.

From the highly variable Insecti and Birdians to the more contained Nekori and Wolfin, ohia are based off of the fact that a person shares the features of an animal. Not specifically, but usually under an umbrella term. Some however, are expectable every time. The Shepre being one example. I'm not sure why there is a divide like this.

The concept of ohia being divided based upon how similar or different they can be whilst staying under the same "umbrella" of animal origin is something I have yet to see being brought up. And because of that, I've decided that perhaps I should be the one doing it. Based upon my own research, this is what I call the "Meyers Categorization" to categorize ohia subspecies based on how different or similar they can look to each other whilst staying under that "umbrella" of origin I already brought up.

- HIGHLY VARIABLE
Insecti (of insects), Birdians (of birds), Toadsen (of frogs/toads), Azutu (of fish (not to be confused with nwa/seaborne)), ...

- CONTAINED
Foxian (of foxes), Wolfin (of wolves), Nekori (of cats), Onyenkita (of dogs), Chevalune (of horses), ...

- EXPECTABLE
Shepre (of (non-domesticated) sheep), Bisona (of bison), Piglin (of pigs), Alligu (of alligators), ...

I genuinely do not believe that there is a correlation as to why certain ohia subspecies would be in certain categories. There is no genetic connection or any sort of that knowledge, thus maybe it is just how things are. Unscientific as it is, maybe there is no logical sense as to why certain ohia are considered "expectable" or "highly variable" even though at first there seems to be an explanation. But this paper of mine isn't just to bring up this potential "Meyers Categorization" to the fold.

I want to talk about mythical ohia.

We know some subspecies of ohia, or animal-kin as it's starting to trend to say that, are more based on "mythical" or even potentially fictional animals and beasts. The daughter of our current sovereign, Evangeline Odonaghue seems to be what people call a dragani. A subspecies of ohia originating from dragons. I do know reported and confirmed existences of Yucra (of unicorns), Hidra (of hydras), and Pegasi (of pegasus)... But it seems as time passes, more "mythical" ohia are starting to be found actually exists.

Teñvana and Kariaha. Of demons and angels respectively they said. Hell, they're not of animal origin, why are they considered ohia even? Though with the lack of a better term, perhaps it would be fine to refer them as ohia for a while. Starting with the similarities in that they both have some sort of horns visible to all. Based on first reports from (previously) Garridia and Sangonomiya, they also have wings and halos that they can just... Summon and hide? Perplexing to say the least. But now the differences.

They're based on angels and demons. Of course, religious implications aside... Kariaha are reported to supposedly bring good luck. They attract virtue and goodness around them based on early observations. And the opposite can be said for the teñvana, as they bring around bad luck alongside with sin and trouble. Way too judgmental.

If we're bringing angels and demons into the mix, I would say to give them a new terminology since they clearly aren't originated from animals. "Okiri" is a terminology I'm willing to suggest, but I would have to put up with international pressure. That is something I don't want to deal with, I will be honest. I suppose this is my findings for now.

Maybe I will add more once I figure out more.

Young Jags I

Postby TJUN-ia » Wed Jan 08, 2025 11:59 am

The Yonng Jaguars of TJUN-ia are a footballing enigma.
No matter how well (or not) their senior counterparts are doing in World Cup, the U21s we send to the Di Brandini never really does anything other than gain experience for the next generation.
For both Philip and Max van Oosterend, this cycle feels neverending but it a job they love doing - because seeing these stars shine in the Jaguars can make it all feel worthwhile.

This opening game summed up all of that feeling. The team we have, filled to the brim with prospects, couldn't do much as Tanner Fox scored the only goal in a 1-0 defeat to Aphrilia. But promise was certainly shown and we will hope to build on that in the games to come.

Up next? Nova Calania. GO YOUNG JAGS!

When the talk was that Thomas Hooker's 4-1-4-1 was built around fluidity amongst the front five and everyone doing a bit of everything, nobody thought it would mean exactly this; Hjördis Sigurdsdóttir, all 157cm of her, setting up what would ultimately be the only goal of a hard-fought defeat of Nova Calania with her head.

Admittedly, that's slightly missing a bit of context. The Klúbburinn pocket poacher, filling a false-10 role here behind Charles Packard in the manner of Katrina Frisk behind (insert Mytanar pressing forward here) at the Ranford & Willsbrook side where Hooker cut his teeth as an assistant, drifted into the right half-space as an early cross of sorts came in from onrushing left-back Jón Svensson as Wecoisus Rirvymoles dropped deep as a decoy. Svensson's curling ball flew over the edge of the box, and were it not for Sigurdsdóttir's presence may have run through to Lulu Eris on the right touchline. but Sigurdsdóttir was present, had been left completely unmarked amidst the various movement off the ball (and, perhaps, how large she isn't), and while a normal-sized player in this same position may have chested the ball down, the XXS player who was actually there found the ball was instead at an inviting height for a headed flick into the danger area. Packard was ready and waiting to fire the Kytlerians into a lead they would not relinquish.

"Not going to lie, I didn't have a Hjördis header on my bingo card for this one," laughed Hooker in his post-match interview. "But I always felt that the fluidity, the way the players interchange in the attacking third, the off-the-ball movement in general - that's what makes this formation work, that's what makes this team work, and you saw it in action there. It was just a slightly unusual way it came about because of who was left open and how the ball got to her. And credit to her as well, it's not like she has much reason to practice headers in training and we try and limit that anyway because of the concussion concerns, but you wouldn't know it from the way she executed there. Instinct goes a long way and she's always had that, all the Klúbburinn coaches have raved about that side of her game and said ever since she started training with their academy that's been her calling card all the way through to playing senior club soccer in the (Kytlerian second-tier) Gregg's League and now junior international soccer."

The following match was a 1-0 the other way, Kanzilia bringing the ill with an 83rd-minute winner from substitute striker Éric Maric - the 18-year-old Navy Charity player leaving the Kytlerians with that sinking feeling after climbing over Victor Bellinger to head home a Pieter Vos cross. The goal came against the run of play in many ways, the Kytlerians dominating possession throughout, but even when the game was played mostly in the Kanzilian half they always looked a threat on the break and especially from crosses. "They're an old-school 4-4-2 and we knew how to outplay them, but not how to turn that into goals," conceded (no pun intended) Hooker after that one. "They defend really diligently and they know their strengths, they can hit people on the break and obviously like most teams they have a strength and size advantage, and then they have talented individuals going forward and I think their boss sets them up to absorb pressure and then improvise on the attack knowing they're going to have room to run into. (Marco) Lauritsen - only a 17-year-old - he's going to be really good, he was hurting us on the break so much and I'm sure there'll be plenty of teams looking out for him after that performance."

TJUN-ia are up next, in a clash that sparks memories of other sporting battles between the two nations - the classic contests over the chessboard between the Jaguar Knights and the Kytlerian Scholars that marked the changing of the guard from the former to the latter in the Elephant Chess Cup, the "walk-off doink" to win a World Bowl group phase game in Borlfield - rather more than it does this sport. "We're here to make our own memories and our own history," Hooker insisted. "That's what these teams are all about, being the start of a story rather than an end."
Out of international isolation and... winning things? Huh?

"Deja Vu, I've just been in this place before."

"I didn't know you knew that song, Thomas. Never figured you were one for the classics," stated Paškal. The young assistant stopped his document sorting and shrugged his shoulders. "My dad listens to it and it reminds me of home whenever I'm away on duty." Paškal and Regina looked at each other, both glad at the heartwarming gesture and aching at how old that same statement made them feel.

"Speaking of deja vu, the current situation we're in seems eerily familiar," Paškal said, putting a sharp end to the silence. "Because it is as close to the same position as we had in the 58th DBC. 2-0-0 with a +4 goal differential and the same amount of goals scored and allowed. Literally, the only difference is that we need to play two more games instead of just one. So, one extra opportunity to make sure we win the group for an easier route in the knockout rounds," Regina confirmed.

In the 58th edition, Zenic had defeated TJUN-ia and Semarland to achieve the same record and stats before falling to Aphrilia in the final match to qualify as second in the group. It wasn't detrimental as the Youthful Survivors would march on past Chromatika and Kamijiro before falling to eventual champions Valanora and coming away with third place against Sangti and the Filindo Isles. Now, they will need to face off against Lisander and Xanneria before they rest and find out their knockout round fate.

"Henriques really has his team going all out on offense this tournament. I haven't played against a team this aggressive since we faced the The Chicks from the Polar Islandstates back in the 56th DBC." Regina nodded. "It's definitely something we've dealt with sparingly, which presents a unique issue. But I think their formation lends us a potential avenue of success." Paškal looked over the scouting report he had nicked from the pile of folders that Thomas was organizing. "You're gonna need to elaborate on that. All I see is a 4-3-3."

"Exactly. With such an aggressive mentality, it'll basically be 2-5-3 formation for most of the match as the fullbacks push up to assist in the attack. I'm postulating here but I'm assuming they're hoping to overwhelm the opposition's midfield and either take full control or force the opponent to have players out of position and exploit the resulting gap. But what happens if the opponent naturally matches you player-for-player in the midfield?"

"You eliminate their advantage and now it's a purely skill based competition." Regina smiled. "Exactly. We'll focus on 1-on-1's so that our strikers are prepared for going straight on against the centerbacks and probably the rest of the squad doing speed drills to keep pace with Challenger Eleven. Other than that, we just have to hope we trained our players better than Henriques and his staff trained their players."

"Okay, documents sorted by Di Bradini group and paper clipped for easier access and disassembly," Thomas exclaimed, proud of his handiwork. "Perfect. We need you to round up everyone else and meet us on the training pitch." Thomas wanted to complain but thought better of it. "Understood, coach. I'm on it."

Thomas should have some time to take a nap behind the bleachers while the team practices for Lisander.

Match Report and findings from the desk of Malia Mabitz

Pre game thoughts:
You can’t beat the naivety and exuberance of the youth and give them a victory on the opening week of a tournament and this lot have reverted to being schoolkids again, bundling with each other on the grass, more dead arms than I can count and running around as if they’re being chased by the Duracell bunny himself, they just won’t stop. Well if you can’t beat them join them, training this week has consisted of not much more than whatever suggestions come from the group, a reminder as to why we all fell in love with this game. My favourite training exercise, which will definitely be added to my training regime, consisted of teams of 4 or 5 playing in the penalty box just dribbling 3 balls around. Aim of the game was to roll the ball through another players open legs, a megnuts … so sweet, once the ball was through your legs you had to stand still and the only way to unfreeze was for another player to crawl through your legs, obviously if all the players on your team were frozen, you were out. Good dribbling practice and I’m surprised we don’t have any neck injuries how they were on the swivel the whole time, apparently it’s quite embarrassing to be nutmegged.

For many of these players this is their first proper time away from home without parents, not that most of the families haven’t come along to support, so whilst we do need to work on our tactics I feel like it would do this group more good if we kept it fun, I won’t bother with fitness training because who actually likes that? As long as I see 15 smiling faces I will consider my job done well, well actually I’d like to see us at least leave the group stage positively.

Post game thoughts:
Wow, just wow. Another game, another win, I suppose if I’m being cynical I could argue that we should have kept another clean sheet but to score three and in such emphatic fashion this squad is really shaping up nicely and these cubs seem more like Gyrinxes every passing day. Greenbottle continues to exceed expectations for how far out of position they are playing, I could see a positional change in the not-so-distant future, but we’ll have to see about that. Not many left backs look like a natural left winger but that run, picking the ball up deep inside our half, burning away from any opposition, literally running around the last defender and then firing the ball into the far bottom corner from the edge of the box, oof almost sensual, bit odd to say regarding the age of these players but I suppose they’re all legal.

Always positive winning at half time and there wasn’t much I had to say, clearly they are having a lot of fun, smiles all round. I was tempted to make some changes as a couple of them look like they could benefit from having a breather but we’re stretched thin enough as it is so just wait and see.

Don’t like conceding the way we did, defenders switching off slightly, not tracking the forward and it doesn’t matter who the player is if you give them that much time you’ve got to think they’ll score eventually. I feel for Goodberry as there wasn’t much they could do, maybe if they’d come out and closed the angle down quicker maybe they get a finger to it but we’re splitting hairs there, really should have been better from the defence. Luckily we have extra defenders so a couple of changes, some fresh legs, swapping the back three with our three outfield subs seems fair. A good response from Herzog to put us back in front, proper poachers finish following in the rebound, clearly listening to our meetings and then to finish by converting a corner and seeing Galadron get on the scoresheet is always good, textbook header getting above their marker and aiming the header down to the line, perfect.

Let’s hope this winning run continues, on to Darmen next match, lost in the first week and then a bye so don’t really know what to expect, we’ll have to see. Maybe we’ll get some more good suggestions for training exercises, seems like we get a good response from that and reinforces the leadership traits we want from these future stars.

Nova Calania bouces back with a win

Sabinal, Sabine - On matchday 2, Nova Calania played against one of their NSCF rival, TJUN-ia (both nations have two colleges each in NSCF who plays once a season), and beat them 3-0. Haley Dockendorf Salazar had the ball at the 22nd minute and made a cross to Skylar Olszewska who heads the ball past Rawned Kassab. The score at halftime was 1-0. Skylar Olszewska scored her 2nd goal of the game at the 64th minute on a penalty. TJUN-ia attacked at the 82nd minute when Karina Xie Cho Wan tried to pass to Meadin Sahilu but Nicolas Montpetit-Hervieux touched the ball from the tip of his foot and the ball becomes loose. Alejandra Jimenez Sanchez takes the ball, dribbles and makes a long pass to Jake O'Hearn who shoots and he scores. Speaking of Nicolas Montpetit-Hervieux, his younger brother, Frédéric Montpetit-Hervieux is a freshman middle linebacker with Université nationale de Saint-Jean-Jacques-sur-Mer in the NSCF. The score was 3-0 and this is the final score. Nova Calania is first in group C tied in points with 3 other nations but two of them has a game in hand. The Tapirs has a +2 goal difference. Next, Nova Calania will travel by train to Caddo to play against Aphrilia and you know that I love train rides! Aphrilia is probably one of the best nation in the group and will be a good test for the Tapirs. The winner have a good chance to make the quarterfinal. Grzegorz Kryszalowicz is still injured and will miss matchday 3 against Aphrilia.

GAME SUMMARY
22nd GOAL NOVA CALANIA Skylar Olszewska assisted by Haley Dockendorf Salazar
64th GOAL NOVA CALANIA Skylar Olszewska (penalty)
82nd GOAL NOVA CALANIA Jake O'Hearn assisted by Alejandra Jimenez Sanchez

Banijans off to a 'sensational' start at the U21 World Cup with 4-0 demolition of Abanhfleft

GLADERIAL, VALANORA- Momodou Jassey, the manager, was all smiles after this match. "I mean... Look, you can't ask for much more than our display today. First game of the tournament- and we were in control from the opening moments. Quality finishing early on really pushed this team forward, as Velimir Simeunović scoring in the 3rd minute allowed us to get comfortable early, and play our game. When you are drawing the opponent to chase the game, you put yourself in a good position to make great things happen- and in this case, we continued to make things happen again, and again, and again." When the manager is all sorts of complimentary after a match, you know the game has gone well. Fans of the Usana Kadongo Kamu were having a great day today, as we kicked off the U21 World Cup with a 4-0 win over Abanhfleft. That gave us three points from the outset, a necessary 3 points considering our bye was on Matchday 1.

Now, of course, the games promise to get more difficult from here on out. Group B is a difficult one- and with only two teams getting out of each group, you simply have no choice but to keep stacking wins- the standard of success, in Group B, is high this year, and if we want to be in the quarterfinals, we must reach it. "The ability to have the killer instinct, to kill off a game before it really gets going... It's something pleasant to watch from this crop of Banijan youngsters." Said one of the TV analysts. Now, to be honest, we should not dwell too much on this match- it's a strong 4-0 win, but Abanhfleft is really struggling to defend throughout this tournament, having conceded 5 to Tikariot. They've conceded 9 goals so far, and nobody else in the tournament has conceded even four yet. So while we played well, the Fleftics, generally a strong team, might just be having a rough time out here in Valanora this time."

Next for the Banijans, of course, are Les Quebecois. A big rivalry matchup, considering the history of these two nations- Quebec is the former colonial power in Banija, meaning there's a long history. Commonwealth history, extremely close allies, and a couple of million Banijans who live in Quebec. Now, what's interesting for the Banijans- as this tournament is one to evaluate players, there's another player whom the Banijans will get a chance to evaluate, up close & personal- Cyrile Resnais-Mahama, the right winger. Banija has always drawn stars from the strong Banijan community in Quebec- Abel Wesoloski-Okafor, Banija's all-time leading goalscorer, was a dual-national. Layvin Son-Saka, the current captain, was a dual-national as well, who picked Banija. Another Banijan starlet from Quebec?

"My focus is on the players in my charge." Momodou Jassey told reporters. "Resnais-Mahama is one hell of a talented player, of course, but my focus is on 3 points." And while that's the right position of the team's manager, Banija's scouts at that matches, who will take notes and bring them back to George Wangolo, will surely have notes on Resnais-Mahama. Remember, playing for a youth national team does not cap tie you by any means- so while he obviously won't play for Banija here in Valanora, it's still very possible that he's playing for a future senior national team. All things are possible, right?

Kanzlia's U-21s impresses 2 games in

Making their debut in the Di Bradini Cup, the Kanzlian U-21s secured 4 points out of 6 so far into the group stages. U-21 Manager Peter Northfence has succesfully utilised his young roster to play a brand of football that is highly dynamic and entertaining. In particular he has opted to start te'Gullic over Maric and has been so far quite succesfull in that front scoring Kanzlia's only goal against The Kytler Peninsulae. In fact, the U-21s KHD experience is really starting to show as most of the starting 11 are first-team starters in their respective clubs. Combined with Kanzlian players playing foreign like Camaro Mulders and Ardentius v. Coevorden, it makes a one solid team with well rounded edges.

The U-21s will face Aphrilia next, currently sat first in the group. A win here would do wonders for Kanzlia's qualification chances.

Peter Northfence is expected to rest Dylan te'Gullic after he suffered an ankle sprain during training.

Knockouts Assured thanks to 'Youthful-ness'

The fun times continue in Valanora as the Youthful Survivors have clinched their spot in the Quarterfinals of the 59th Di Bradini Cup thanks to a 3-2 victory over the Challenge Eleven of Lisander. The U-21 squad are guaranteed a spot in the knockouts as the winner or runner up as only one team in Group D can equal one of their potential records (Eastfield Lodge) and none can surpass any of the said potential records.

Zenic remained in Mar Sara, playing their second straight match at the Artani and third out of fourth in the city. It was a rough start as Lisander came out swinging thanks to a 'Linho' pass across goal that found Eric Cannone and past Purificación for the lead after 11 minutes. Consolación Regina's side answered quickly as Inma Vinicio scored with the outsider of her left foot on a well timed through ball by Amilcare Josias. However, Tirso Henriques and his youth would get their second of the game in the 42nd minute on a Daniel Fernandes strike from just inside the box. Both squads would enter the locker rooms exhausted after a hard fought 2-1 first half.

Guessing by the performance in the second half, Regina must be a sorceress. The U-21 squad came out with a fury as newly subbed on Manuel Gerardo Jimenez scored a bouncing header off of a Nediljka Dragoljub corner to equalize the game three minutes after the restart. Not to be outdone, Pentti Cecilie won the ball on a challenge near the middle of the pitch and ran it towards the Lisander goal. While everyone assumed he would run in and make a last minute pass, Cecilie struck the ball from 22 meters out and surprised Enrique Luna just enough to sneak it in for the 3-2 lead. Lisander held onto the ball for most of the remainder of the game but the young Zenician defense stifled them at every turn and maintained the lead by the final whistle.

Up next is their final match of the group stage against last place Xanneria. Despite their current position, the Xannerians are no slouches and the Youthful Survivors will need to keep up their level of play to ensure victory and a perfect group stage finish. Regardless of how that final match turns out, the Youthful Survivors have more than earned their rest during the 5th matchday.

"We know the drill," Thomas Hooker told a press conference ahead of the Kytlerian clash with TJUN-ia. "We have to win, they certainly have to win - even if they do it's probably meaningless, but they need a win just to avoid bottom spot which has to mean something - and then if we do win it's on to Aphrilia and who even knows what the stakes will be for that, but we have to control the controllable things and that means winning ourselves."

TJUN-ia have one point from three games. They have been toothless in attack; if you are reading this right now, you have scored at least as many goals as they have in this Di Bradini Cup. But they have pride - they always have pride - and the 0-0 against Kanzlia represented at least something resembling improvement. "There's no mugs at this tournament, everyone has a base level of competence even at this age these days, so you can never be complacent," Hooker argued. "And of course, we're not going to pretend otherwise, when we play this nation in any form of international sport there's a certain narrative. I wouldn't even call it a rivalry as such, certainly not in the hatred sense, but because of what has happened in multiple sports between our nations since the Reopening, there's... there's tales to be told. It's a meeting that you look forward to whenever it happens because you're adding to that history, and it's a privilege to be part of that with this side. They always bring something, to any sport they participate in, and that's something that you can't take for granted."

The Di Bradini Cup is well-known for being the biggest soccer tournament in the multiverse that requires player pre-registration and forbids "ghost teams," who do not declare a roster in advance, from participation. That seemingly minor barrier to entry is one that team after team have failed to clear in events that do not place it, from the World Cup downwards, and Margaret Institute researchers have called it a major contributor to the unpredictability of the DBC. "Ghost teams tend to, at least over the course of a tournament, get exposed pretty consistently," argued Prof. Jennifer Rose-Andrews, part of the Margaret Institute's RPD Impact Assessment Unit that evaluates the performance impact of Recognised Performance Drugs. "They reliably lack any RPD supply, and we find that even submitting a known personnel list to a tournament is a process that appears to generate RP-inin - this may be something to do with chemicals in the paperwork, but that implies communication has to be analogue in that way which of course in this day and age it really doesn't. Either way, the fact the Di Bradini Cup has no ghost teams really makes it a deep competition every time it's run."
Out of international isolation and... winning things? Huh?

Kanzlia's U-21s qualification hangs in the balance

A 0-0 draw against top of the table Aphrilia means that Kanzlia remain 2nd in Group C but things will remain contentious coming into the final matchday. TJUN-ia has already been knocked out after drawing the Kytler Peninsulae 1-1. Kanzlia now will have to defeat 4th placed Nova Calania if they want to keep their U-21 hopes alive.

"We're not yet qualified, lets not get ahead of ourselves" states Peter Northfence after his side drew 0-0. "We'll need a win against Nova Calania."

Kanzlia has so far scored just one goal, the same amount of goals as the aforementioned TJUN-ia. Offensively things needs to change for the U-21s but their defence is another story. Conceding no goals 3 games in, the U-21s defensive work should be left untouched. Though it is perhaps less surprising how well they do defensively when you consider Ardentius van Coevorden and Rick Verhoeven is part of the starting line-up.

Dylan te'Gullic did not feature the Aphrilia game due to an injury, though Peter Northfence suggests he'll be fit to play against Nova Calania.
