How to spend less on Administration?

Postby Askio » Sat Dec 28, 2024 11:29 pm

Greetings,

I have a few questions surrounding government spending: What exactly is the Administration category? It seems to me like needless bloat, when I could spend the same money on Industry, Education or the Environment instead. How does one reduce administration spending and make one's government more efficient?

Just guessing here, but it might be tied to Government Size.

Still havent figured out yet, seems linked to taxes/government size and bureacracy.

NS stats are canon, but the first information source are factbooks.

Commenting so I can follow because I can't figure this out either. I've searched the forum for similar posts and found one person report that it is not tied to government size - their primary nation with a large government spent nothing on administration while a puppet anarchy with a minute government spent 15% on administration. They noticed little in common between governments with high administration spending.

The other suggestion I found was to tolerate higher corruption and black market activity. It might be that some issue options reduce corruption by increasing bureaucratic red tape, but that can't be strongly correlated to administration spending because I can see that your nation has pretty high corruption. And my nation isn't fighting black market activity at all (basically just made everything legal so there's nothing really considered "black market" anymore), so its administration spending doesn't come from that.

I suppose that when you answer the issues, you always see if what you decide will reduce taxes and favor the free market. But as AN said, it's complicated.

I’ve been wondering the same thing! What exactly does the Administration category even cover? Is it just salaries and paperwork? It feels like such a huge chunk of spending that could go to things like Education or the Environment instead. Is there a way to reduce this without causing chaos? Like, could governments use technology to streamline things or maybe cut out roles that overlap? By the way, speaking of efficiency, I’ve read some Wall And Associates reviews https://wall-and-associates.pissedconsu ... eview.html, and they seem to specialize in helping with tax issues by offering personalized strategies. It makes me think—maybe governments could learn a thing or two about streamlining finances from companies like that!
