"We didn´t have any gloves with us." Johnston responded, "And we wanted to wait for backup. If you have gloves, we can check for documents. Someone also needs to question the hiker. That´s usually your job Joel." she continued also adressing Sheriff baker with the last remark

Opening the door of the police car, he tried to appear as calm, calm and friendly as possible towards the hiker, it was an essential part if they wanted him to give them some information whatsoever.
" Hey pal, Sheriff Baker, De Mayne County Sheriff Department, I know you are still in shock, afterall finding a dead body isn't not something that happens all days, but I need you to tell us what you know, alright ? " Said Baker
Still shaking, the hiker, with a trembling, shaky voice, began to talk to Joel
20 Minutes Later...
In the meanwhile, Doctor David Lock, the Coroner for De Mayne County, arrived on the scene, and, after talking to the deputies present on the scene, began to work on the body. From the hiker's answers, Joel couldn't find anything useful, except that the body was found by chance during the excursion and he hadn't seen anyone around, it would have been very difficult to find a solution to the case. Once finished, he took Johnston and Myers aside: "The guy couldn't provide us with anything useful, unfortunately, check the gas station, or the diners near the highway, maybe they saw her there."

Killian had been having one hell of a first day back at the station. It had started out pretty normally, just kind of going over the very basics and getting the layout of the station. He wasn't all that prone to being nervous about...much of anything, but this was something he wanted to do well at, and was quite a lot different of an environment than what he was used to choosing to exist within. So when the station became aware of a body being found, he didn't necessarily receive this information, but he did notice everyone seemed kind of...unsettled, or just otherwise reacting as if whatever had happened was unusual. And then his training officer had gone off as backup for whatever situation was going on, and he wasn't really sure what to do with that.
Until he got a radio call from her. He quickly pulled his radio off his belt, "Ma'am, I'm still at the station. Nobody really informed the rookie what's going on," He said with a light, slightly nervous chuckle, "I can get in my car and meet you somewhere, just tell me where."

"Alright. We'll meet at the Blue Road Diner. I'll tell you everything then. Over" with that she put down the radio and drove towards the previously mentioned Diner. It was the closest Diner to the location of the body. Katherine pulled into the parking lot, got out of her car and started waiting for Kilian. While waiting, her mind started thinking about the body. This was the first time a body had been found here that she can remember. And she has been working here for almost 25 years. What if this was just the start? What if they would be more and more bodies? No, stop. Nothing will happen. We will solve this case and everything will return to normal.

Terintania wrote:"Roger that....Over," Killian replied, before sliding the radio back on to his belt and standing there for a moment, wondering if maybe he should tell someone where he was going. After a second, he darted to grab his keys, not yet having open access to any sort of police car, and decided that telling the nearest cop that he wasn't just ditching on his first day, he'd been called away to meet his training officer, was probably a good idea, and so he did.
Once that was done, he darted out to where his old black mustang was parked and climbed in. His dad had given it to him when he was old enough to drive, and it had served him well thus far. It had some...quirks, but he knew how to deal with them, and honestly wouldn't trade the car for anything. Backing out of the parking spot, he zipped out of the parking lot faster than he probably should have at a police station, and made his way to the Blue Road Diner.
Arriving shortly later, he zagged into the parking lot at a speed that was not necessarily illegal, but probably frowned upon, and then whipped into a parking spot beside where Katherine had parked. Hopping out, he gave her a playful little salute, and all but bounced over to her, barely contained energy practically radiating from him. He did, however, see that she seemed...bothered, so he attempted to curb his urge to make light of any and all situations, figuring this was probably pretty serious. "Sorry I took so long, Ma'am, didn't have the advantage of the whole lights and sirens situation. What's up?"

"What a wonderful first day for him" Katherine thought, before she responded: "We found a body in the woods. A woman in her late twenties and we haven't found any Papers on her. So we have to ask in the diners around if they saw her. She has blonde hair, green eyes and is wearing a black jacket and jeans." She paused for a bit. "If this is too much for you, I totally understand. This is the first body we have found here in this century. If you don't think you can do this, just say something. This is an extreme situation for your first day."

"O-oh," Killian huffed. He wasn't really sure what he'd expected, but it certainly wasn't that. He'd lived here his entire life, and never once had he heard about a murder. People got hurt, sure, as they did in every town, but never murder. But did they know it was murder? She'd just said they'd found a body. But they had to at least suspect murder was a possibility, right?
After a moment of quiet contemplation and acceptance of the information, he spoke again, his voice a little more subdued now, "That does explain why everyone in the station seemed...frenzied?" He wasn't sure that was the right term, but it was all that came to mind. He took a deep breath, and nodded his head, "I'm good to go. I'd rather not...see the body on my first day, if that can be avoided. But...I'm good to help, if I can. I want to help."
As he said this, another cop car pulled in. He wasn't sure he knew the officer's name yet, but now might not be the time to ask, and he was already headed into the diner after a very brief greeting, anyway. He seemed confident. That was probably good.

When he had first got in touch with Myers,Baker and Johnston he had yelled for pretty much 5 minutes straight. When he finally calmed down he asked them if they could identify anything about the person or if they had any witnesses other then the hiker. Johnston told him about the strange late night camera appearance that a witness at the Blue Road diner mentioned that could be the victim being chased. Myers and Johnston had collected the camera footage on a USB stick. Aarya had ordered them to return to the station. Now here he was waiting pacing and getting ready for the end of the first of a long chain of nights dedicate to solving this murder

(ooc:I wouldn't yell at baker since he is the sheriff and your boss)
Katherine waited for Aarya to stop shouting before saying: "I didn't take Hart to investigate a murder sir" she said, making the sir sound condescending. "I took him to investigate a dead body. While still quite serious, it's nowhere near a murder. There were no indications of a murder until the mentioned security footage. And based on the description we have its also not very indicative of a murder." she continued. "We were also already on our way back. We will be there in a few minutes." she then switched the radio to a different channel to answer Killian's question. "I don't have anything on identity. She definitely isn't from here, I would know that. Maybe Dr. Lock will be able to tell us more."

Killian pondered Katherine's answer to his question, thinking that searching the body for an ID or something like that might be one of the first things they would do, unless they had done that, and there was simply no ID on the body, which would be pretty strange if it was an accident. But ultimately he decided he knew nothing, and it was best to leave the theorizing to the more experienced. He had done all the training to become an officer, of course, but there was a big difference between training in a controlled situation, or simply studying, than doing it in real life.
All that being said, he was glad that she was confident the victim wasn't from around here. He knew a lot of people in this town, and he wasn't sure what he'd do if it turned out to be one of them. Of course, he also knew a lot of people from nearby towns, as well, so it not being a stranger was not an impossibility, just unlikely.
Lost in thought, he pulled his car back into it's parking spot outside the station, then jogged to meet Katherine once she got out of her vehicle as well. "Has this station ever dealt with something like this before?"
