The Jerman-Hungarian war IC

Postby The Coalition of Jermany » Wed Dec 04, 2024 7:35 pm

Through some secret services president Jai’s half Hungarian brother was made PM of Hungary, but eventually overthrew the current system, going rogue and becoming a dictator. President Jai, shocked and enraged by his brother’s betrayal rallied the Jerman council to wage war on Hungary and have the personal goal to kill his brother, prime minister of Hungary, Nahtro.

The war has expanded on three fronts..The northern invasion by the Jermans to march to Budapest and the Hungarian invasion of the Jerman island territories of Hakk and the shores of Umet (soldier state of the Jerman mainland.)

On the Hungarian North front over 300,000 Jerman troops composing of volunteer riflemen from several different units including the Anchor volunteer corps, the Jai paratrooper corps, the 1st mixed rifle company, the 2nd mixed rifle company, and the 3rd mixed rifle company. They are also accompanied by the Anchor tank legion, and the Blue tank legion.

The Hungarians are heavily fortifying the north and attacking incoming soldiers, exploding their trucks and bringing their own tanks to combat Jerman ones. The Jermans would soon realise that an invasion of Hungary would not be so easy. Prime minister Nahtro was a former Anchor volunteer so he knows the Jerman military and its tactics. The Hungarians prepared to kill many of them on arrival in brutal battles across the northern border.

It was eventually settled that most of the fighting would be in trenches and small towns across the border. Meanwhile on the Umet front Hungarian naval ships invaded the beaches but with machine gunners, artillery, and tanks awaiting them Hungarians took a massive loss on the coastal push where waves were destroyed by Jerman troops who stayed to defend their home.

The island of Hakk was much easier to invade due to the lack of military funding in the area but the local guard and the citizen’s army were used to the extreme cold of the island and the Hungarians had to conquer poorer forces who had the weather on their size.

2nd month of the war was brutal on the Hungarian front. Many Jerman soldiers had been wounded or killed by the defending Hungarian forces. With 300,000 forces as the initial division lowering to 250,000 from deaths on the field. The situation became so dire that the Anchor Volunteer Corp would temporarily ceasefire against Hungarian troops as they contained 100,000 soldiers of the overall forces and the 50,000 deaths mostly came from them. This lowered the amount of invading Germans to 200,000 men. Life outside of war was not easy, Jerman soldiers would live in tents or homes conquered towns where they would eat and sleep using the property of the citizens. Hungarians who were displaced were not pushed further inland but rather arrested and sent to Jermany where they would become citizens by force and live in a sector in the southern woodlands of Catormet bordering Saunderland. This border of forest was called the town of Jerma-Hungary. Children would attend schools learning both Hungarian and Jerman.

The invasion of the Umet coast was useless to the Hungarians efforts as the plan was to invade the Jerman mainland in such a powerful way that the Jerman soldiers overseas would be forced to come back home, but it seemed like they could barely even get a foot on the ground and thousands of Hungarians died in the invasion efforts. As of now ships no longer deploy infantry but rather engage in complex combat from long range and Jerman artillery and Hungarian warships duel with long range cannons.

The invasion of Hakk proved more successful to Hungarian armed forces as although they came unprepared to the cold, harsh, permanent winter of the island the Hungarian soldiers were simply better trained and would win quick conflicts against local forces. By the first month roughly half of the island was lost to Hungarian control.
