The Imperial Palace
Constaninople, Imperia
The Imperial Palace of Constantinople was described by many as being a city inside of a city, with its sprawling gardens filled with lush vegetation and the exquisite halls and magnificent edifices which put to shame the great palaces of Versailles, the Hermitage, and the Forbidden City. The crown jewel of the Caesarian dynasty, highlighting the wealth and power few could match that the House of Caesar possessed. Visitors were often taken aback by the price and beauty of the palace when they visited, with the architecture mixing elementary from Classical, Baroque, Byzantine, Ottoman, and other influences from all over the empire, covering grandeur and sublimity as a nod not only to the Imperial Family, but the Caesarean State as a whole, located next to the mighty Bosporus, upon which, magnificent battleships, old and new were docked at the embankments, behind which were the buildings from the Ottoman and Byzantine eras, hidden by vines and gardens of lush vegetation.
It was here, that the Empire's diplomats would receive their Meillura Counterparts. Days of preparation had been underway, and the diplomats carefully chosen for the meeting to accompany the Empress Mother and Empress Dowager. Everything was prepared and now, the Imperial Family awaited the arrival of the diplomats in a grand hall which would put Versailles to shame, with it's marble Corinthian gollum's and golden engravings and magnificent wall frescos and chandeliers all illuminated by the sunlight, a paradise on earth.
