Greetings, NationStates General! Let's dive into the age-old question that has divided men (and those who buy their underwear) for decades: Boxers or Briefs?

Which do you prefer and why? Are you a fan of the freedom and breezy comfort of boxers, or do you prefer the snug support of briefs? Maybe you're a fan of boxer-briefs, or something else entirely—trunks, jocks, or commando?

EDIT: I prefer briefs style underwear ("tighty whities") because of the support. I don't like the feeling of underwear on my legs so I don't wear boxer-briefs.

Anyway, briefs are much too constraining and boxers feel a bit exposing. Boxer-briefs are a solid medium.

I prefer briefs ("tighty whities") because I like the support. I'm physically active.

I also don't like the feeling of fabric on my legs so I don't wear boxer-briefs, which aren't supportive enough to me anyway.

I am unaware of such a stigma. At least, for me, it really just boils down to comfort. Homophobic or hyper-masculine men, as you describe, who judge other men based on their choice of under-garment likely have their own inner conflicts to address.
