The undersigned..., class..., is informed that, due to the compulsory conscription implemented for the state of war, he has been conscripted, and must go to the nearest railway station to board a train and start training

This is what hundreds of German's received in the days preceding the invasion of the USSR, included you : you weren't surprised about it, after all, the war started 3 years ago, with the invasion of Poland, and many were conscripted during those days. Now its time to do your part, and, as you wait to get on the train at the train station, you can see many of your peers, many joyous, some nervous, others were writing letters to their loved ones and, who was lucky, saluted his lover in the hope of returning back, and, after an almost endless line of conscripts, its your time to board the train, you found in front of yourself a fairly tall man, almost bald, without beard nor moustache and an angry look in his eyes, you understand immediately and you give him your conscription notice.

Welcome here in this new RP, you will find yourself in the role of a conscript ( Or a veteran, depends ) of the German side at the start of the invasion of Russia, codenamed Operation Barbarossa, all together, the small squad will witness the major events of the Eastern Front and will slowly be able to see every single defeat of the Reich until the end, as long as they don't all die first.

The IC starting date will be 3rd July 1941, in a Training Outpost in Russia, where our recruits, and vets, will regroup before being assigned to the frontline

This could be interesting, I know the Soviet one almost got off to a good start, certainly could be interesting though raising an eyebrow about fully doing it from a German perspective without getting overly into the actual reality of the barbaric nature of the campaign on the Eastern Front in a PG-13 way.

Looking forward to seeing the interest, and if so could throw in an app for a more experienced NCO- I assume Border you'd direct the platoon officer and platoon sergeant, as well as things that are happening narratively on the wider-scale?

Personality and Background : Strict, Aggressive and Cold, Klement Feulner was born in 1911 in Stuggart by a housewife and a watchmaker, and was the youngest of 4 sons. Klement wasn't old enough to remember his older brother and father depart for the Great War, but he was old enough to never see them come back when the War was over. After the war, his family struggled to survive and, when the economic crisis came, they reached poverty. At that time, in 1929, Klement was already an adult, and decided to join the German military, the Reichsheer. He rose to the rank of corporal in 1934, After Hitler's rise to power, in 1938 he participated in the occupation of Austria and, in 1939, in the invasion of Poland. He distinguished himself in the invasion of Benelux, reaching the rank of Sergeant, he was then stationed in France and finally moved to Poland for the Invasion of the USSR.

Yes to the command question, but don't worry, you'll have your tactical liberties, and the narrative of the story

While there will be a way to demonstrate the brutality of what the germans committed, I don't want people glorifying what happened and who made them

In 1940, he participate in Operation Weserübung where he would distinguished himself during the Norwegian Campaign, where he would reach the rank of Corporal. He later would be stationed in France before be transferred back to Poland for preparation for the invasion of the USSR.

During the break of the battle, he would spent his time by reading books to kill some time and mostly to calm himself after battle. His friendly personality make him very easy and approachable person to talk.
