Thank goodness Trump won, now those annoying liberals will be too busy trying to reclaim abortion rights and they'll hopefully leave Japan and Anime alone. Those liberals are the reason I support trump, because he'll distract them with his policies. Also I hate woke culture so hopefully that will get reigned in, I've had enough of my entertainment ruined by these rainbow freaks.

I do not believe this was readily apparent to a casual reader. The reference to "rainbow freaks" looked targeted towards LGBT+ folks. A sage bit of advice is that how we phrase our arguments and statements often impacts whether they will constitute trolling. I would work to be more mindful going forward. If you had complained about "the woke and liberal establishment promoting LGBT+ themes" instead of "rainbow freaks", you likely would not have received an official warning.

Thank you. It would be much appreciated. Honestly, avoiding insults altogether is often the best way to avoid winding up on the less fun side of Moderation. Like I said, it's not really necessary in conversations about media - even if you dislike queer themes or queer characters.

To answer your question, a good rule of thumb is "If you have to ask whether or not something is against the rules, it's prudent not to post it."

Our volunteer moderators rule on a case-by-case basis and do not generally offer hypotheticals. That said, calling institutions or actions not directly related to site users annoying generally won't violate the rules. So you're probably fine to call the media annoying or certain political figures annoying. But, again, I would be mindful that this isn't blanket approval to use insults with the intention of getting a rise out of people.
