Kronbia men's national football team

Overview

Football does not have a large fan base and comes in fourth place after basketball, baseball and boxing. Football began to appear on the island at the end of the eighties and continued as a game played in the streets and squares until 1998, when the first football league was established it consists of 5 teams. The number of teams has reached 8 currently. The sport does not find sufficient financial support due to the lack of audience attendance, the lack of sponsors, and the lack of any channels’ interest in broadcasting the matches.

Sadwarna (The Six Colors)
Association : All-Mandaran Football Association (AMFA)
Confederation : CMFA (Mandalanusa)

Throughout the history, the Mandaran ethno-linguistic area have been represented by various countries in international sports competition especially the NSWC. Rarungan entered for the first time at the qualification phase of 68th World Cup, but never come back again to the competition. Soracana Islands try their luck in World Cup competition by entering the 85th World Cup qualifying round. They failed to qualify and never went back again. Pemecutan was the latest to test the World Cup euphoria by entering the 86th World Cup cycle. They success to qualify for the first time in their 3rd appearance in World Cup cycle and have been qualify to World Cup ever since. Their best performance was at the 90th World Cup edition where they came out as the runner-up of the competition. In other competitions, Pemecutan also have a better result than the other constituent states. They managed to win 3 titles of CMFA Mandalanusa Cup consecutively. While Soracana Islands only managed to become a runner-up twice. On the other hand, Toluiwa become the most successful state in IAC after managed to reached quarterfinal at the 19th edition of the competition. Following the unification of these countries into United Mandaran States, both CMFA and NSWC admit them as the official successor of Pemecutan as the last country who compete in World Cup. While their participation in IAC competition might be ceased and their ranking won't be succeeded by any other nation as CMFA barred their member to compete in IAC competition.

Kits

Sidartha Textile is again trusted to create the jersey of the national team. The company was created the latest jersey of Pemecutan national football team before the unification. It consists of 3 sets of jersey, home, away and goalkeeper jersey. They use the 6 national colors for the base color of the kits. Blue, red and white are use in the home jersey. Green, yellow and white are used for the away jersey. While black and white are used by the goalkeeper. Differ from their previous design for Pemecutan, UMS national team jersey is quite plain and simple with less pattern except for the checkerboard pattern applied in the home jersey shirt and a washed-up pattern on the short of the goalkeeper jersey. Despite the simple design, it is still praise by the officials, players and supporters.

In a shocking surprise to the football fans in Kronbia, coach Atilio Lamberto resigned from coaching the national team, after a strong start of the Kronbian team and achieving good results, the most important of which was Runners-up in the Baptism of Fire 84, Atilio Lamberto was also able to jump With Kronbia team in the world rankings from unranked to ranked 168 after the Baptism of Fire 84, to ranked 73 after the Cup of Harmony 89 and the World Cup 97 qualification, which is an achievement in Kronbia’s first ever international participation. The coach announced that he would leave the team after the Independent Associations Championships 22, due to his inability to deal with the interference of the Kronbia Football Federation in the way he managed the team in a completely unacceptable manner. The differences between coach Atilio Lamberto and the Kronbia Football Federation caused the team to be left without a coach before The CMFA Mandalanusa Cup 17, but the Kronbia Football Federation quickly searched for a new coach and contracted with coach Joseph Moteudi, the former coach of the Indusse national team. Coach Joseph Moteudi has an acceptable resume with several local titles in Indusse, so the fans are waiting to see what the new coach will achieve.

A HISTORY OF ELLAPO EPALLI (BIYAMBI) PART 1
As legend has it, Mwene (King) Eperi of Merkami had an envious brother, Thapella. Younger than Eperi, Thapella was unlikely to ever see the throne especially when the Mwene's wife Amowe became pregnant. In a jealous rage, Thapella killed his brother, and then gave poison to his brother's wife, Amowe, causing her to miscarry. Thapella accused Amowe of killing both his brother and his unborn child, then banished her. As a witness of the creator Chiuta, Amowe could only have one child, a daughter, but she had lost her. This meant that Eperi would have no heir.

Amowe in despair cried out to Chiuta at the base of the holy mountain of Salongwe for 90 days with no water or food. Chiuta moved by her sorrow and faith blessed her with the ability to have a child again. Orami the last-born child of Chiuta and founder of the city of Merkami delivered the message to Amowe. He then took her for his wife and soon she gave birth to twins, a boy named Annavaha (meaning god gives) and a girl named Amari (meaning this does not happen often or scarce). Annavaha became the patriarch of the Emole people whilst Amari became the matriarch of the Hesewa people.

When Annavaha became a man, he left his father and mothers house travelling west to present day Rame where he started his own family. He named the land he settled Emole after the type of soil which was very fertile.

Annavaha's family initially grew into groups of small farm settlements linked with footpaths. Overtime, the farm settlements grew bigger, transitioning into villages and towns. As the population grew in the Emole homeland which they called Ellapo Amoowe which means motherland, it came to be that the land would no longer support the people.

The towns and villages who traced their ancestry to Annavaha were administered by the oldest member as a Muvethekuni (leader). As the population grew in Ellapo Amoowe several conflicts occurred. The Muvethekuni of several towns and villages held a meeting where they formed a council called the Avethekuni Mwiilli (leaders body). The Avethekuni Mwiilli members then elected the oldest member as Mwene (King) to lead them. The new Mwene borrowing from Hesewa tradition appointed a helping hand called a Mtetezi (protector). The Mtetezi would act as a commander of the Mwene's guard, advisor to the Mwene, commander of the combined armed forces and the Mwene's arms. The Avethekuni Mwiilli then discussed the issue of population, it was decided that several clans would have to leave Ellapo Amoowe and settle elsewhere. Lots were cast and the clans of; the Amowe, Nihekeni, the Nihavani, the Hakwani, the Thakwani, the Hohola, the Likhukhu, the Namuli and the Thuchira were selected to leave. The Amowe went north into Naahe lands whilst the others ventured south into Abatwa and N'ganja lands and settled there.

The Emole built a fortress palace for their Mwene and called it eMwenengome (meaning the Kings fortress). A city would grow around the Mwene's fortress palace. The city would be known as eMwenengome (present day city of Rame).

NOTE: A Witness of Chiuta were the daughters of Chiuta who had disobeyed him and attempted to create life. Their punishment was to be witness to man's highs, lows, good deeds and bad deeds and record everything. The witnesses’ observations would be used as evidence of a man's nature whether they would live as a spirit with the creator or they would suffer eternal karma. Witnesses could only have one child who would in turn become a witness when they grew up. Witnesses were immortal.

Wild Statement Sparks Tension and Divide the Fans
15th November 2028

Tangkong (AMP) - During the first match of CMFA Mandalanusa Cup 17, commentator, Julian Pasha made a statement that went viral in an instant. The match between UMS and Tanah Hijau which was also the opening match of the competition ended in 1-0 for UMS. But the night become controversial following the half time statement made by Julian Pasha. He said that UMS have lost its golden era as the regional competition is not competitive enough. His statement was questioned by the moderator that night, Ketut Astika. Pasha explained that as Pemecutan, the country leads the competition despite the poor execution which create the nickname Pemecutan Cursed. It still came out as the most successful country in the region in term of their quarterfinal or even semifinal performance. They then win the competition 3 times in a row, the only country to do so. They even made the region more known in the world stage with their World Cup participation.
Our team seems to be spoilt will all the accomplishment and the rather small or exclusive regional rivalry. It hardly makes us improve internationally. While the world has constantly change with new emerging power in football. And we lost the chance to shine cause the low competitiveness at the regional level. We need a harder challenge.

Julian Pasha

His statement instantly becomes viral on the internet. Some agreed with his statement. One comment says that UMS must be better than Pemecutan cause the country is consist of previously good football countries. Pemecutan the World Cup runner-up. Toluiwa was the quarterfinalist in IAC. Club wise, Pesetih Titih (Pemecutan) and SAVV Asakote (Toluiwa) was FFI League of Victors runner-up while PSS Selaparang (Cakranegara) was League of Victors champion. The commenter states that with this accomplishment, they should be easily top the competition. Another pro commenter says about changing a region for more competitive competition which shockingly got more than 3 thousand likes. On another hand, the cons said that it is not the region's fault but the manager faults who failed to unify the team who come from different background. Another cons commenter said that they must see the condition within the team first before blaming the lack of competitiveness in the region itself.

On another occasion, sports critics Putu Bagus Trijata said that both internal and external factor equally affected the team. Internally, the team is still on the process of unifying different playing style, players conditions and their customs. While currently, most of the strategy used is based on Pemecutan strategy which might be not easy for players from Cendana Islands (Cakranegara and Toluiwa) to adjust. Externally, he agrees that Mandalanusa is a small region with tight and exclusive competition. He added that mostly big countries who ever reached the semifinal with only a few occasions where small or new country could achieve it. In Mandalanusa Era (starting the 11th edition), Pemecutan, Acastanha and Sharktail were 3 countries that mostly qualified to the top 4. Although Trijata still unsure if leaving the region is the best solution for the issue. "Even though we're change region, if we are still unable to solve our internal issue it will be useless," he says.

While AMFA have not stated any comment about this wild statement. AMFA spokesperson said that currently the association is focusing on making a better league competition so the clubs are able to say more in international stage.

Disaster match

In the opening matches of the team, the team appeared with a very poor performance that did not live up to the level of the CMFA Mandalanusa Cup, at Sultan Ali Port Stadium in Kota Harapan, and in a shocking scene for the Kronbian fans who came to Sultanate of Tanah Hijau to support their team, the Kronbia national team lost 4-0 against the Sharktail national team. The players appeared at an unusually dull level, and the new coach, Joseph Moteudi, tried to play in his favorite way, which is 4-3-3, and the Kronbia team is used to playing in a 4-4-2 way, which showed a confused performance by the team. Some attribute the reason for the loss to the lack of harmony between the team and the new coach, because the team was unable to obtain a sufficient preparation period due to the change of coach. The Kronbian fans hope to see their team achieve better results like those it achieved in previous tournaments.

Mwene Mulubali (Great King) Umaji (136 - 161 CE): In 136 CE, 'Umaji', an ambitious and smart young man was chosen as Mtetezi by Mwene Chiotcha. Umaji was from the Kambuku Clan which claimed direct decent to Orami the youngest son of the creator god. The same year during the planting season when the rains had delayed, Umaji staged a coup and declared himself the Mwene Mulubali (Great King). Umaji then set up an Asuphayi Mwiilli (Soldiers body) made up of his closest friends and kinsmen to help him consolidate his authority. Umaji then prepared offerings to the Emole and Hesewa ancestors and travelled to Salongwe were he alongside the Mfumu (King) of Salongwe, Manthimba I offered sacrifices. Umaji is said to have been filled by his ancestors’ spirits and undressed and danced, as he danced clouds gathered in the sky and it begun to rain heavily. Whilst Umaji was in Salongwe, Chiotcha and his followers had reseized power. When it begun to rain lightning struck Chiotcha and killed him causing his followers to scatter in fear, bringing an end to his rebellion. The people embraced Umaji, accepting him as their ruler.

Umaji's dream was to unite Emole and Hesewa. During his reign he began his efforts by conquering the villages and towns surrounding eMwenengome. Securing control of the Ellapo Amowe countryside was crucial before engaging in war with other more distant Emole city states and tribes.

The second target of Umaji's expansion was the city state of Hapuani, inhabited by the southern Namuli. Hapuani was the strongest Emole city state after Ellapo Amowe. And served as an economic centre second only to Ellapo Amowe. After conquering Hapuani, Umaji turned his attention on Namuli and Thuchira who invaded Ellapo Amowe. Umaji divided his troops and sent one group led by Manyawa to defend the motherland and led the other group into Namuli then Thuchira. Manyawa repelled the invaders whilst Umaji conquered Namuli and Thuchira. The Namuli and Thuchira forces were captured and incorporated into the Ellapo Amowe army.

Following the expansion into Namuli, Thuchira and Hapuani, the southern Emole states united under the city states of Makupiza and Chitakale to face against Ellapo Amowe. Umaji used diplomacy to convince Likhuku, Hohola and Thakwani to join the Ellapo Amowe Confederacy. A civil broke out among the Emole states and tribes. The civil war lasted for 8 years before it was interrupted by a Merkami invasion. The Emole region was abundant in fertile soil, exotic animals, fresh water fish and gold. Merkami wanted to control these resources.

In 154 CE, Mpungu, the King of Merkami, invaded Emoleland and sacked its capitals. The Emole resisted the invasion for 7 years, with guerrilla tactics lead by Umaji. In 161 after several devasting defeats, Umaji fled with his entourage to Salongwe mountain, Mpungu followed him. In Emole culture, the Salongwe mountain was regarded as a sacred place where the spirits of their ancestors resided. It is believed that man in his physical body cannot climb the mountain. Many people over the centuries have lost their lives attempting to scale the mountain and reach Likhubula Peak. On the mountain of Salongwe it was said that the spirits would leave food for weary travellers and if you found the food you had to eat it in silence, if you spoke you would lose your voice and disappear. Another tale talks of the two headed serpent Napolo but in this tale he has wings and he floats around creating the thick mist in the mountains. Umaji as a direct descendant of two heavenly beings would be able to traverse the mountain whilst Mpungu as a man chasing the grandchild of the heavens would surely lose his way. It said that Umaji ascended to the heavens whilst other accounts say he escaped to mainland Mandalanusa. As for Mpungu it is said that whilst on the mountain he met a beautiful woman and when he tried to have his way with her and kiss her, he became frozen and shattered into pieces. Other accounts say that as he walked, the spirits tortured him with their laughter so much that he lost his mind and fell into a crevasse.

Mwene Kalonga Rame I (192 -216 CE): The man said to be the founder of Ellapo Epalli Empire (the claypot country/Biyambi) was born Moniwa (meaning answered prayer) in 158 CE in Magome, the home town of his mother. His father was Mwene Mulubali Umaji and his mother was a Hesewa servant girl called Ottheya (laughter). Moniwa was considered a bastard.

Tradition states that Moniwa's mother was barren for many years which saw her get ridiculed in the eMwenengome court. In desperation, Moniwa's mother consulted many shrines in the Emole and Hesewa lands when she saw her prayers were not answered she decided to climb the sacred mountain of Salongwe. Whilst on the mountain a thunderstorm started and she was struck by lightning but survived. Ottheya was left with a paw of a leopard. The chief priestess of Salongwe told her it was the mark of Orami indicating that soon he would return to the earthly realm through her. Three days after her encounter, she was found to be carrying a baby.

Moniwa was considered illegitimate as such he was not named heir to the Ellapo Amowe throne. Because of his illegitimacy, Moniwa spent his early years in his mother’s home town as a cattle herder.

At the age of 16 after his initiation ceremony that saw him become a man, he was taken as a political hostage to the Merkami court. This was not unusual, as the Merkami had a long-standing practice of holding hostage the heirs, princes and nobles to their tributary kings as hostages to ensure compliance but to also mould the hostages into good servants to the Merkami Empire.

Whilst in Merkami City the capital of the Merkami Empire, Moniwa spent his days learning about the customs and traditions of the Merkami court and in particular how administration and power politics in the court worked. Moniwa also rubbed shoulders and socialized with Merkami elites, other princes from tributary states and also merchants from far of lands. As a descendant of Orami, Moniwa was a great storyteller which made him popular in the court, this led to the young man being appointed as Mwene Mpungu II's royal story teller, cup bearer and royal shield-bearer.

Moniwa was a very handsome and tall Youngman, with his storytelling prowess and effectiveness in the Merkami court he caught the eyes of the ladies in the Merkami court. Moniwa's fall from grace in the Merkami court would result from his relationship with the Mwene Mpungu II's favourite concubine Novahiwa. This relationship was not only adulterous but also a slight on the Mwene's honour. The situation became far worse when Novahiwa became pregnant, and rumours spread like wildfire on who the father actually was. When the Mwene heard the rumour, he was so furious and called for Moniwa's head. Moniwa in fear for his life fled south to the Kingdom of Nakuda.

Moniwa had realised that going to his home state of Ellapo Emowe would certainly see his people punished as they were still subjects to Merkami.

Whilst in Nakuda, Moniwa learned to speak Sayeti and joined the Nakuda military. He served in the Nakuda army between 182 and 192 CE and received a military and administrative education. Nakuda not only possessed one of the most advanced militaries of any Ziwanan state but also had the most sophisticated and advanced political & social makeup of any Ziwanan state. Compared with Emole states which were confederations of clans, tribes and cities, Nakuda was highly centralized and had one supreme ruler. All these greatly inspired the future reforms of Moniwa.

In 186 CE the Merkami army led by Chikhamu broke past Nakuda defences and expanded as far as the city of Wakara. They were very close to the Nakuda capital city , Jurama. Chikhamu was renowned for his extraordinary height and unparalleled strength. He was a giant among men. He was quite an intimidating figure, his towering figure sent shivers into his enemies. Tradition say that Chikhamu would uproot trees with his bare hands and flung them into enemy fortifications. It said he was the son of Napolo the two head snake of calamity. Moniwa's regiment was dispatched to stop Chikhamu and his men from reaching the capital. Tradition says that Chikhamu stood in the open field and dared any brave Nakuda soldier to come face him. For 7 days Chikhamu killed the brave Nakuda who dared challenge him. On the eighth day Moniwa stood up to face this giant, using his agility and speed he managed to kill Chikhamu. As he knelt to take the dead Chikhamu's coral beads, the some Merkami men recognized him as the man that had disrespected their King. The men in angered charged at Moniwa who killed about 30 men alone before his fellow soldiers reached him to help him. The Merkami men in fear retreated with the Nakuda forces chasing after them, slaughtering them on the way. Moniwa and his men recaptured several cities including the city of Faluna in Merkami-Nakuda (Merkami occupied Nakuda).

Following this great feat, Moniwa was recognized as royalty and for his braveness by King Tariku III of Nakuda. Moniwa became a commander. By 188 CE Moniwa had fully recaptured Merkami-Nakuda and even recaptured the Emole town of Amowe. Moniwa was then made Governor of Northern Nakuda (Merkami-Nakuda and the town of Amowe). His feats spread around the Emole and Hesewa city states. In 189 CE, Moniwa led punitive operations into Merkami occupied Hesewa. By early 190 CE Moniwa defeated the Merkami at the battle of Salongwe after previously losing twice. As he celebrated in Salongwe he met and fail in love with Makewana Timwa, the rainmaker. Timwa would aid Moniwa in his future war with the Merkami and in the founding of the Ellapo Epalli Empire using not only her beauty & charm but also her spiritual, oratorical skills and intellect to influence the various Emole and Hesewa states to united under Moniwa’s leadership and fight against the Merkami.

In 192 CE, Moniwa received news that his brother Otiera, had been killed repelling an attack from Axlam. His brothers Tsopa and Sipa refused to take the throne of Ellapo Amowe as they saw Moniwa as the rightful ruler. Due to this Moniwa had to return home after so many years and take on the role of Mwene Mulubali of Ellapo Amowe. However, considering that Moniwa was still a wanted fugitive by Merkami, King Tariku III detached 1000 of some of his best Nakuda warriors to guide him to Ellapo Amowe.

Moniwa's experiences as governor and commander in Nakuda had given him political and military tactical knowledge. Moniwa had seen the importance of unity and centralization in Nakuda and his desire like that of his father Umaji was to unite Hesewa and Emole states. Speaking to his wife Timwa and his brother Tsopa and Sipa, he was advised to call a great meeting to discuss the fate of the Emole and Hesewa people. Moniwa then sent out his Katumbi (messengers), summoning all the clan leaders, village heads, chiefs and Kings of Emole and Hesewa to eMwenengome to discuss the future of the descendants of Orami & Amowe.

Great surprise

In a shocking surprise, the Kronbia national football team won its last match to advance to second place. After a lackluster performance in the first two matches in the group stage, the Kronbia presented an amazing match against the Biyambi national football team. The match began with the Kronbia leading with a goal from Justino Vito with a header in the 28th minute, then Biyambi Draw in the 33rd minute in the second half, specifically in the 48th minute Biyambi advanced 2-1, then Kronbia Draw again in the 63rd minute from a free kick with Ovidio Florencio’s foot, and the tie continued while everyone prepared for extra time. Alfredo Florian scored the winning goal in the 93rd minute, to the astonishment of everyone with a victory that no one expected, so Kronbia reached the quarter-finals and will meet the Island of the Lost national football team.
