Your ambitions or things you look forward to

I've been wondering about peoples ambitions, and/or what they're looking forward to or working towards.

I'm British, living in the UK, but I'm working towards moving to the US to be with my fiancee. I'm just looking forward to buying a house in the suburbs and having children. I really really can't wait. Being so far apart and for so long is hard, but it'll be worth it.

I'm going to go back to school or a community college once I'm over there so I can get an actual qualification in a trade. I can already work as a mechanic and carpenter, and have a working knowledge of welding, but lack a qualification in carpentry and welding. Getting the qualifications is a personal ambition of mine that will serve no purpose - I don't even want a job in any of those areas. I'd love to be a police officer, that's the attainable dream. City department, ideally.

And i'd love to help my fiancee purchase the place she works at, eventually.

My ambition is also to get married to my love, but he hasn't proposed to me yet, so my plan b is to live with my bestie and have a girls only life!! Because we're girls... females... women... not male

My number #1 ambition around this time is once I finish or even better (if possible), before I fully finish High School in the next few years, I would try finding a scholarship and go to college outside, preferrably in the United States, and from there, I could find a quaint life there and also find work as a graphic designer. If I have the will.

The only thing hindering me ever since I first laid eyes on the Personal Computer as a wee, wee child, is me being the literal embodiment of sloth and laziness (details here), the negative things people tend to talk about regarding that place, and just my laziness.

I hail from a dysfunctional family that, for lack of a better word, didn't stand a chance against the test of time, and the lingering trauma that my parents still have from it are affecting them in their every day behavior, and I feel like I just want to be alone.

That's why I don't feel like I want to have children, I don't want to repeat the same mistakes mom and dad did.

To be honest, I want to become an author. I spend all my free time thinking about stories, which is why I love nation-states so much. The power to put what has been trapped in my mind into words is amazing and that itself is the one thing I cannot put into words. To be honest though, the publishing industry is horrid, and I would never see myself going to those people for anything. Right now, I am using nationstates for this, and it has helped me relieve my mind of holding in so many thoughts and given me the ability to see it as it is in words

From most of the older guys I know, if you don't parlay a divorce into your retirement, you are spit out of luck as far as cultivating a closer relationship with your La-Z-Boy recliner.

I am into occult and all the things left hand path condemned by organized religions. Except for animal sacrifice as I love and value animals and birds. Yes I do have a life with job and all but that doesn’t really interest me and I just do it for the sense of duty towards family.

I am unsure that it can be called ambition or obsession but I have always when meeting anyone want to know the real them. The actual them, not the different facades which society teach us.

I suppose my ambition would be to know the real past, present and future of this universe.

My ambition is to become an IT professional. I did not immediately find any IT-related jobs upon my graduation due to a lack of open slots for entry-level fresh graduates so I applied for customer service at a nearby call centre as a means of finding an immediate job. I was fortunate to find an IT job online though, and quit my job for my new role as an IT Service Desk Analyst at a new company.

Now while I'm still having my training, I'm confident that I would learn a lot and kickstart my IT career. As I mentioned before, I strive to become an IT professional and I'm considering upgrading to a cybersecurity role sometime in the future.

the next N7 day so i can be incredibly disappointed. but i guess the more serious answer would be... going back to school probably. it's a matter of getting my head straight and some money in the bank account. i will make someone give me a job. i am so tired of being stupid unemployed garbage. oh, and getting a girlfriend would be nice too. ideally when i get myself in order first, i don't want her to fix me.

me too, mostly the first one but i kinda found myself railroading towards the 'get published' ambition pipeline like it's the sims. the first one, it's weird, one day you wake up and realize all the smog in your lungs and cough black dust out, not enough to feel better yet, but enough to realize you have to do something. waking up way earlier than you usually do (that is to say, noon), a forest of shadows and the rising sun greet you with restraint but hope. you have a coffee and look at the sun, and a brick hits you in the head tied up with a little piece of paper that reads: 'this is the rest of your life now.'

it's kind of what i imagine when a drug addict wakes up miserable but sober. 'this is the rest of your life now.'

but im 20, and 20 is young (lispy chud nerd voice.)

I am the same and I understand what you mean completely. But I don't have an ambition to write a novel. Good luck with that and I wish you a lot of motivation and inspiration. ^•⩊•^

In regards to my ambitions I don't have any other than just feeling happy when I can. Something that sounds good to me would be letting go of schopenhauerian will to live so that I can be functionally free from any worries and completely okay with dying which is inevitable anyways. :3
