I'm British, living in the UK, but I'm working towards moving to the US to be with my fiancee. I'm just looking forward to buying a house in the suburbs and having children. I really really can't wait. Being so far apart and for so long is hard, but it'll be worth it.
I'm going to go back to school or a community college once I'm over there so I can get an actual qualification in a trade. I can already work as a mechanic and carpenter, and have a working knowledge of welding, but lack a qualification in carpentry and welding. Getting the qualifications is a personal ambition of mine that will serve no purpose - I don't even want a job in any of those areas. I'd love to be a police officer, that's the attainable dream. City department, ideally.
And i'd love to help my fiancee purchase the place she works at, eventually.

What are your ambitions, aims or look-forward-tos? Are you likely to achieve them?

United English Commonwealth of the Australian Federation
After the rise of the Union of Britain, the royal family went to exile themselves in Australia to escape persecution by syndicalist revolutionaries. Australia, now one of the last vestiges of Western civilization, must resist the growing influence of Imperial Germany, a rising Japanese Empire, and the international syndicalist uprising. Today, the federation stands toe-to-toe with a syndicalist People's Union of China for influence in the Pacific.

The world needs more scientists who can be philosophical about their work.
Science, like all tools, is inherently amoral.
However, scientists are not.Ethel mermania wrote:Retirement, I am very much looking forward to not having to work for a living anymore
