Effective as of late, this treaty was declared on January 1st, 2024 - bringing Gonswanzan-Bagazian relations somewhat closer. However, due to medical reasons - Matti had returned to the care of their national hospital on Marcian Island. Thus, a new diplomat would arrive into the hotel - watching down below into the streets seeing the celebrations being held. The sky grew dark, being held in the hands of the fearful. Kosao Fira, the latest diplomat studied to be a moderate - sat in a nearby chair, looking at his face through the mirror next to him. Bagazia was becoming a diplomatic powerhouse, meeting with all kinds of nations like the LFPD, the Marinians, and even the Arzelen.

Their military.. was still merely in development. Though they possessed an army equal of that to the Daeva, the didn't have the necessary equipment to keep up with the latest technology every other nation was continuing. Kosao would notice the many Gonswanzan flags inside the room, hesitantly gripping onto one of them for a closer look. The hot topics of Bagazia, right now - Luther Suomi Overthrown by Communists Militias! - Bagazia turns red! What does this mean? - and so on, of course this didn't have any affect on him in a foreign land. Both governments had a common goal to achieve - getting a new tank from the Gonswanzans.

Scrolling on his phone, looking at the newest anime k-pop songs listed, the headlines, and texts from his partner. He'd eagerly await for someone from the Gonswanzan Government to arrive in his room. Tapping his foot onto the fabric floor, fixing the curtains on the window - then pacing around in circles at the rear of the bed. The reason for trying to acquire a measly impossible technology from a "tyrannical" nation - simple, we needed a better armored force. Of course.. Kosao knew this wouldn't come without some sort of cost. Though receiving approval from the Stone Cabinet (Socialist Government) to do whatever needed to be done - he wasn't going to back down. Waiting.. biding his time, hearing the local citizens from outside on their daily venture.

OOC: Not to get confused, this takes place originally on Dec. 23 2023, now taking place around.. a week later prior to our last thread. As of now this thread is NOT in October 2024, but in January 2024.

[Gonswanza]

Eventually, a knock would summon the new rep to the door, as security staff were present as armed escorts. Even as the fireworks of the new year were long gone, with business as usual in the patriotic city, aircraft flying over did offer a hint to the times. Times were shifting, as the military were busy carrying out plans to refresh the budget, while Ortiz was probably hung over from her latest toxic coctail.

Yet, the group waiting fir him did lack the patience to let him come tobthe door, given their annoyed tone despite their refusal to act.

"Sir, ypu have been summoned."

Summoned. What an odd word to use... But it made sense in the context of things. Bagazia needed armor. Gonswanza was a nation of factories. Of course they would summon up a poor bastard to crack a deal...

He'd crack open the door, looking over outside to see the guards waiting for him. "One moment please!", he wailed - grabbing on his laced brown shoes. Kosao would now step outside the room, greeting the guards with a rictus - slowly waving his hand to each of them. Of course, he hadn't waited that long - seeing the haste in Gonswanza due to their 'glorious' leader. He'd await for the guards to start moving, letting them guide him to the.. assembly.

It was but a simple task. A simple move, and in no time at all he would meet with the leader, her minister of foreign affairs, and a cheery rep from GEL who just got finished with her model of the EM-125, though at this point in time it had yet to be reveaked to the world. Luckily, it was in production, building up stock before massed export, so the very first orders would habe to be more personal affairs like this one...

"And who do I have the pleasure of seeing, hm?"

So spoke up Laura Ortiz, the bags under eyes evident from her crooked hat, the few stray hairs escaping her pulled back ponytail, her lack of sleep and hungover state providing a poor image, but she did not care given her power. No images would escape this room, after all, so there was no use in bashing on one's self.

Yet, it was certainly odd. It almost made her more human, given her depictions in the press honored her like a god, some kind of immortal god spirit fueled by the jingoistic desires of her country. But now? She was no better than anyone else, soon waking up after a pill and a small vial of what one could assume to be caffinated vitamins.

Kosao would slowly kneel down infront of Laura, showing his respect toward the Gonswanzan dictator. Though - deep down he'd think she was an absolute clown for a military junta leader, dressing unprofessionally infront of diplomats. He'd rise up, saluting to Laura then placing his hand down back into his pocket.

"Esteemed Dictator, I am Kosao, from Bagazia. I've come to ask for extra help from your nation. Even though we already signed the Treaty of Jaktoo - we have interests to sign just one more. We need our armored strength to rise into modern standards, and we've heard Gonswanza is very intellectual in that area. If you'd please lend us your help.."

She was about to correct him, but a gesture from her foreign minister cut her off, with her being too tired to actively counter. For once, she could be pushed around lightly, but to what end, that was unknown. Still, her tired eyes drifted over to the visitor, as she instead decided to respond in turn to his question with another question, wondering how exactly she could lend aid, even with a rapid shift in politics and an agreement that still held, to some extent.

"And how could I, er, help? I'm certain our industrial capacity could be loaned, but to what end?"

Meanwhile, the rep from GEL almost looks like she was about to explode from excitement upon hearing that. The foreign minister however seemed skeptical of the idea, almost suspect, given that usually such agreements tended to unfurl over time or degrade into the nation begging simply seeking out another supplier. And given how Janpia was selling off more advanced tanks to match (or even exceed) Gonswanza's premier MBT, while GEL sold something quite average for the era, it was not looking good unless the treaty was to be maintained without some sort of deadly repercussions. At least, in his mind anyway.

But this could not be further from the truth, almost looping back around into being true if one were to add enough lies to warp it entirely.

"I believe you have one of the most produced tanks as of now. It's not necessarily bad at all, if you could however.. give us some of the equipment you produce we'd be most grateful. Of course, we'd be willing to pay back most of it. In short, give us 15% of your production and we'll pay with interest." The delegate would crack his neck sideways, relieving tension within himself. He would look around the room, noticing not many chairs to be placed around.

"If I may interject, I request a chair to have some comfort, if you will please."

"I believe you have one of the most produced tanks as of now. It's not necessarily bad at all, if you could however.. give us some of the equipment you produce we'd be most grateful. The GEL saleswoman seems to look to Ortiz, though Ortiz only made a lazy gesture to get a chair for the rep, which was odd given they were in a meeting room that was well furnished, but then again, it was... Rather sparse. A few more were gathered on the side, with the GEL rep soon taking one for themselves, before speaking up.

"Well! The EM-125 has everything you could ever need, for export! Sure, it's more of an average MBT, but it's an excellent choice for those on a budget but unwilling to deal with having less armor on a maneuverable platform, instead preferring a more proper tank that can actually eat a hit instead. However, it's up to our glorious leader to decide if this export tank can be produced in other nations, given the chances of resale which could render the contract null and void, despite failing to stop said resale of said tanks."

She then looks to Ortiz, almost like a pleading puppy, but the tired leader simply waved them off before speaking up in turn.

"We can offer 10% of our production for this tank, along with supplying the parts necessary to produce and maintain it, though only if you and your leader agree to keep it to yourselves and refuse to resell it to others, notably the CSL, given they will do anything to harvest armor like crows sweeping at jewelry. It is strange, considering that their armor production almost rivals ours, and their hardware is on an equal level, yet they are the ones seeking to buy armor from others in a massive collection while we keep to ourselves and almost refuse to buy tanks from others unless they are given as a gift."
