Race/Species description: Complicated. Primarily humans, though humans evolved on separate planets independently in this universe. Some non-human humanoids and post-humans like Grey aliens and Gatawa and non-humanoid Xenos like Shepherds.
Government type: Confederation of assorted Constituencies under a Christian Theocratic Figurehead.
Explaination for Ideology: The Holy Federation of Stars exists in a universe where solar systems are ultimately self-sufficient. As such, the power source for those in the galaxy is not money, land, or resources but manpower. While many civilizations are content with remaining within their solar system, many civilizations try to gain developed manpower through conquest, colonization, and mutual defense. But the Holy Federation has chosen a new path - religion. They believe that any attempt to unify by force or by mutual interest will inevitably fail. Instead they think faith is a better unifier, for even if the HFoS falls politically, Christians could still engage in ecumenicalism.
Economic type: None at a federal level, at least officially. The Federal Government stifles the ability of corporations to become multinational or multistellar, but otherwise, constituencies may have their economic systems. Anarchists, Communists, Capitalists of all varieties, feudalists, etc, have representation and are generally protected from foreign intervention.
Main industries: Diversified. While individual constituents may have some specialties, they're still distinct planets and solar systems - thus, no "core" industry dominates the Holy Federation's economy. Trade is mostly for exotic goods or goods considered exotic in certain worlds.

Due to the Confederation including various species, there are of course various home worlds. Or Asteroids, as the case may be with the Cwachgweni. However, the capitol world of the Confederation is Tlysglass.

Main industries:

Aside from the almost mandatory shipbuilding, as far as FT-Empires are concerned, the Confederation is has a rather strong industry in droid manufacturing and developing, both for military purposes and for civilian ones, as well as in mining. Aside from these, the Confederation has an important agricultural sector.

Noted technologies:

Aside from matter-anti-matter reactors for power generation, the Confederation's main technological achievement is the Hyperspace Jump Gate Network, a network of gates connecting various points in the Confederation (and beyond) for near instantanous travel - however, there are a number of limiting factors, starting with the enormous construction costs and power requirements, so these gates are rare and far inbetween. And they are far from absolutely safe.

The Confederation also has a place in my MT-Canon. It is the brainchild of an author within said canon, Branwen Blaidd, who wrote several quite successful Science Fiction novels taking place there.

Race/Species description: Valentians, humans that are 8 feet tall on average. On top of that, the entire universe (which has so far been proven to be devoid of any life other than Valentians themselves; any communication is assumed to be multiversal) is scaled up by 2.66, and thus with humans of average heights spanning 21-22 feet. So far, they are not subjected to negative effects of Square-Cube Law.
Government type: Oligarchy - The Sixty rules the Valentians.
Economic type: Mixed-Market Economy. Utilities, Primary Industries, and a lot of Secondary Industries are totally government-controlled, while the rest are given some leeway in favor of capitalism. Monopolies, however, cannot be established.
Main industries: Consumer Technology (especially multimedia devices such as cameras and camcorders), Usual Tourism paired with Space-Time Tourism (essentially, guided tours where Valentians and Non-Valentians can travel to other worlds and time periods).
Noted technologies: Organic Replicators, Transcontinental Railroad (spans the entire Earth and Mars, but NOT in-between two planets), NEED (Non-Euclidean Expansion Devices), and the Veritable Records of Valentine Z [1]. Mainland municipalities are governed through democratically-elected officials, whether it’s a single person or a council. The colony worlds are ruled by governors installed by the national government for the most part.

Economic type: Mixed. Certain sectors are dominated by the government’s corporations, such as power generation, sewage, water, banking, defense contracting, interstellar freight, mass transit, and communication. The remainder of the economy is more free-market based, but is dominated by megacorporations. Trade policy tends to be protectionist with exceptions on a nation-by-nation basis.
