The Faern (Wizard) Class Guided Missile Heavy Aero-Cruiser arrived off of the Takhisian (The Order of Takhisis) construction yards in 1997, there have been a series of updates to transform it from a gun cruiser to a predominately guided missile vessel.
The Faern (Wizard) Class , also known as the F-03/A/HCGM, is a class of combat system-equipped air defence cruisers in service with the Takhisian Imperial Navy. The vessels are built by Takhisian shipbuilder TSWY in Farro, with the lead ship of the class named in appreciation for the thaumaturgical mages that are of immense service to the navy.
The ships are fitted with the HIA made Vigilance weapons system allowing them to track hundreds of airborne targets simultaneously as part of its air defence network. The Faern class were the prototypes for later modern vessels of the Takhisian Imperial Navy to incorporate ballistic resistant steel in the hull, along with the power plants being mounted on anti-vibration mounts to reduce noise and make them less detectable by acoustic sensor systems of enemy airships.
The system however that aids the defence of the Takhisian airships by far is that of the kinetic barrier. A product sourced from the Rhydin Hegemony, of which they use on their walking weapon platforms and so on, this massive version is used to protect the undersides, flanks and bow of vessels of the imperial navy.
