The sudden hole in the Empire's golden borders, flashed on the screen, almost makes her shriek. And what's a democrat and a fascist, anyway? She rings the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to gather intel ASAP and arrange for a meeting with their 'Prime Minister'. Where's the Duke or King or... if this was some fever-dream remnant of the Renaissance, Doge or whatnot?

After some hastily-compiled intel on Camtropia and Hastria is provided her, a meeting is arranged with PM Anderson, and she goes over it wide-eyed ten times over on the trip to Rexport. Where was the Empire in the history of this 'Camtropia'? Who on Earth had allowed such garish ideologies as 'leftism' and 'fascism' to take root in Europe? Where on Earth is their King?

She asks her entourage to take a detour before meeting the PM to visit a public library. The map of Europe here is completely different, Romilija nowhere to be found, and... yes, these 'republics' everywhere. Was this some kind of elaborate prank?

That aside, Rexport is quite the dazzling city. Were it part of the Empire, it would be one of its shining jewels—wonderfully populated, and with a rich Roman tradition still evident in it.

Well, that makes her a bit jealous now, doesn't it? Perhaps it's best that this new country made a hole in the Empire's borders. Else, her family might just be outshone.

By the time she's due a meeting with the PM, she's settled into it somewhat. It's not likely that this Camtropia, with all its 'power to the people' nonsense, would let itself be trampled by the Empire's heel. But perhaps a friendly relationship could be arranged with this somewhat ailing state. The Empire seemed much more capable of supporting it than whatever those useless powers (which must've been from some parallel universe or some nonsense) were supposed to be, and Hastrian "fascism"'s goal of national supremacy to the detriment of Christian unity seemed all too dangerous. Dangerous to allow to exist as protector of Christians everywhere, and dangerous in the pragmatic sense: to allow Hastria to dominate this nation would signal to groups that perhaps the time was now to lift from the shackles of European unity and pursue their selfish aspirations.

That possibility is something she cannot allow.

Her Imperial Majesty is escorted to whatever meeting room there is.

She flashes a genuine smile.

"Allow me to welcome you into our Europe."

Not a threat, this one, but an acknowledgement of the anomaly of this situation, one she's sure he recognizes as well.

"I shall not wish to keep you long, but perhaps I shall have to. There is much to talk about. Tell me how these Hastrians plague your office so, and perhaps my Empire shall be at your behest..."
