Inauguration of President Kurtii (IC Thread)

Postby British Arzelentaxmacone » Sun May 19, 2024 1:15 pm

At Skei-Skil Palace

Skei-Skil palace was - in fairness - nowhere near the scale and grandeur of the destroyed Arz Palace, but wasn’t dissimilar in terms of its architecture and luxurious interior furnishings. The hall was decorated elaborately, wreaths of black roses - carefully arranged down to each petal - lined the walls, a tradition for inauguration ceremonies that had continued for centuries. Plush furniture and velvet couches sat around the room, whilst a variety of oil paintings adorned the oak panels, illuminated by an enormous, glass chandelier encrusted with golden highlights and purposefully placed away from the stage after the Leader’s.. incident a few months earlier. A pair of oaken double doors at the end of the room allowed guests to enter, whilst an elongated wooden table, decked with all sorts of traditional Arzelent foods and drinks, was sat in the corner.

Olaf stood in the centre of the room, straightening his tie habitually and running a hand through his curls of silky hair. He was dressed slightly differently than usual, in a dashing grey uniform complete with a single silver medal pinned to his chest, a symbol of his presidency. It was - like his usual attire - stylish and complemented his appearance perfectly, although being comparatively more simple to his predecessors’ elaborate uniforms. Still, he loved the suit nevertheless.

He was somewhat nervous, truthfully, but an optimistic sense of joy and excitement overshadowed such thoughts. This was the sort of occasion he and his family had only dreamed of. And now it was here.

The gates to the palace swung open, and with that, the inauguration commenced.

Kit would be the first to arrive, in a strikingly different outfit than her usual combat armor. She wore a gray suit, with a lilac shirt underneath, and a white tie. It was… not her usual style, but she figured there was a certain someone who’d like to see her dressed up… too bad she never got the specifics on it all. But she felt oddly confident she’d done a decent job… anyhow. As she had arrived so early, she kind of just milled about, waiting for anyone else to show her around as she conversed with one of her bodyguards.

Even with war at home, the efficiency of the Lemuerian system was shown as the delegates were the second and third to arrive, well they would have been first and second if not for the late acceptation. One of them, the foreign minister looked pretty cheerful and wore a green suit. While the other one, looked odd. He blended in with even his breath feeling silent, a silence that deafened everyone around him. He wore a gray suit with a specific symbol, or rather some words bolded in a typical font saying... "Agent Ham Somsung, Member of the Intelligence Wing of the Council-Assembly of Lemueria", which was the only way anyone could distinguish it but it's simarily to the dress made it not that legible from far. His hair covered some of his face making his appearance uncertain as he continued to run into the palace looking everywhere and eventually looking at Olaf, he didn't say anything. The foreign minister was busy doing his normal diplomatic duties by conversing with the palace guards. He didn't say a word and didn't even take a seat...

Mark’s delegation came third, he was tall, had straight brown hair with chestnut-colored eyes; he wore a smart navy blue suit with some medals. He wore the Kaiser model cap and a shiny Prussian uniform jacket, everything was original but suited him very well.
“My most sincere greetings, excellency” were his first words to the president.

Somsung laughed at the mention of precautions when it was a warzone. He mumbles to himself something before clearing his throat and in a very low voice saying, "I am Ham Samsung, yes, that name is a codename." He says looking around for a clock to see the time.

Yes, of course. my guards were really disappointed because they can’t be more than 10. he pointed the 5 guards they are too protective ! I managed to reduce their number by two but I need to be more careful - according to them-.

“Ah, I see.” He muttered, slightly awkwardly.

He felt actually pretty good about the ignorance but he did have to make some noise, he sat down somewhere and looked at everyone... rather oddly. Like a hunter watching it's prey, observing every movement and doing mental calculation. Meanwhile the foreign minister finally arrived dropping a green suitcase making a lot of noise, in contrast. And coming up to the other delegates, smiling, a smile that eroded a bit... But still smiling. "I see this is the inauguration ceremony for the new BA... president? Seems weird to have an inauguration celebrate for a president, like a monarch?"

Having flown here personally by their own hand in a formerly Grasp-made model of STOL stealth aircraft, a Zagan Hippogriff, the next delegates to the coronation were the one man entrusted with foreign affairs of Istvine, the former air force Colonel Laudin van Gauntine, escorting his cargo along with him: Dr. Prospertyn Sigrune, head of the B/S Enlightenment program, who is to meet individuals along with him alongside having monitored another flight record of the one taken here and eventually back, a good bit of information to take in with regards to the program. But that wasn’t exactly why they were here: specifically, they were to see to meeting and congratulations towards the host and hostess, especially for the fact this was the former’s coronation. Unloading their necessary security measures for just in case reasons, the two headed off and eventually to the Skei-Skil Palace, looking to meet with their individuals also to be here: Dr. Sigrune had her briefcase with her, and Laudin had a more hard cased one with him, as they approach and see to getting things checked through firstly and foremost. Though after all is said and done, they’ll be ready to head on through.

The two had… very differing characteristics to their outfits. Laudin wasn’t dressed formally this time, like he is within the assembly. Instead, he wore a pilot’s pressure suit, with areas on the back meant to handle his cybernetics, as well as what looked to be a composite-alloy helmet locked in around his neck prosthesis, with the usual protective glass casing meant for a suit having been swapped for a more formal mask: a metal plate instead replaced it, with rows of slats meant to give him enough vision to see within it, and no plate within the mouth to speak: instead, a transceiver was underneath the mask, to allow for communications.

His doctor, on the other hand, had similar surgical implants on the back of her body, albeit with no input sections. Instead, she had a helm that was placed over her head and clipped to her neck implant, that covered down to her upper cheekbones, leaving her nose and mouth exposed. Instead of the slats, however, she had glass over her eyes’ area within the helm, opaque as it looked from the outside, but it did look to be good enough for her to see, as she had no issues with the lenses. Comparatively, she wore a proper suit, and having acquired a pin of the Arzelet flag, along with one of the Arakhkhar flag beside it. Her lips also currently were glossed a light purple, as she followed alongside her “knight” to meet with others.

Kit’s expression lightened slightly, a small smile creeping onto her face.

“Well, for yours truly, it really couldn’t be better! I got the Vice Governor job when the incumbent Governor’s veep stepped down and she needed a new running mate, and, uh… yeah. That’s about it, I guess. It hasn’t been that long, heh. How’ve you been? Besides the obvious, which I’m sure you don’t wanna talk about…”

The arrival of the Arakhkhari delegation was, indeed, an affair of its own. At its head - the Baroness Vana, delegate to the International Security Directorate. In a long burgundy colored silke dress, with a little black rose resting respectfully on her chest. Her pale face framed, as always, by her dark hair, with eyes of violet aglow with a certain propensity for a refined sort of mischief.

Joining her, following at arms length behind, was the Intendant Karina - Intendant of International Affairs, and among the most powerful individuals of the Arakhkhari government. She wore, owing to her station, a black silken dress - a with the slight touches of silver gracing her form. A pale face, with dark red hair that was somewhat short, but fluffy. She bore with her a sort of serious expression.

They walked up to the steps with something of an elegant gait each - confident, despite the ongoing war. The intervention was going well - and as such, they needn’t not fear.
Vana spoke to her immediate superior with a somewhat mischievous smirk.
“So, Intendant. What do you suppose he’ll say?”
The Intendant took to a hearty laugh.
“Oh, well - at this sort of occasion, he couldn’t possibly refuse you, Vana.”
And as they walked through the gates, joined behind by a number of Praetorians - adorned with black armor, purple robes draped over them, the touches of silver giving them a fundamentally regal, yet dangerous appearance.

Vana was the first to enter the great hall - taking sight of its grand appearance, the luxurious decorations - she always harked back to her estate. And the time with Olaf they shared, there.

Shahzadeh Adonijjah entered the place, a look of slight nervousness on his face. He wore a light grey suit with a blue sash and dueling cape draped over it. Fanned out behind him were ten of the elite Fravashi Royal Guard, their faces stern under their balaclava. Their flame touched skin and tribalistic tattoos spoke to their ancient roots and secretive rituals that was veiled under cool professionalism.

To be frank, the young reformist was less than thrilled that his two friends were either dead or dying and their successor was compromised by Arakhkhar, but he hoped in his heart of hearts that there was some hope in BA. Adonijjah walked through the palace doors and entered the party, glancing about with suspicion. The vast majority of partygoers were from the ISD. He suddenly felt as if he was in enemy territory, which was frustrating given this used to be his friends house..

Approaching with much less flair than most, Nevarrón would be coming towards the midst of the Skei-Skil Palace with at least her formal uniform dress, being that her body is a bit too broad to be very well flexible with the dress. She flew here in a Paimon Purveyor, effectively seated in the midst of cargo with various other military assets and special supplies meant for the Frijheld war, and soon disembarking off to at least greet and meet with other Grasp soldiers before soon arriving: armed with nothing but her fists… and a lot of ballistic plate underneath her, she did only bring at most a pair of suitcases that… wasn’t really being used properly. It had no gun in it, it simply had more armor plates inside of them. The other was much more of a box, and had a large set of CQC and hand to hand weapons, as well as a very heavy brick of tungsten cased in hard plastic: for the most blunt of purposes. She sadly was told not to bring any guns because it wouldn’t look good to bring broken down weapons to an inauguration. Even if it was to assemble and show off to a friend. Nonetheless, approaching with a wide smile on her face, she would head in to meet with the other Directorate friends she’s made, as she gives a huge wave and a bright smile towards Olaf, the Baronness, and most importantly of course, Kit!
Lovable rogue mercenary nation, always taking the impractical solutions to a problem. They usually work. Trust me.

Are NS stats canon? Only the big ones.

Jeremy arrived outside , the palace in a red suit. He had a black fedora on his, head with a blue tie. He was being escorted, by 10 Luxembourgish soldiers from the 57th Luxembourgish special forces brigade. Their black uniforms blended, in the dark as they followed behind Jermey.

The Luxembourgish man would walk, inside with his security. He looked around the place seeing, other people around. As he checked his watch, he was a little nervous. But he was excited, to help increase relations. With the BA, to increase ties between the two nations. He looked around, seeing if he could find anyone from a more familiar nation.

Kit’s face lit up as soon as she caught sight of Nevarrón. She immediately dropped what she was doing to go say hi.

“Oh, welcome! It’s great to see you, how was the flight here?”

Kit wasn’t hiding her enthusiasm nearly as much as she normally would in the ISD boardroom, instead, she seemed to almost be actively compensating for her inability to be more expressive in the past.

But he was excited, to help increase relations. With the BA, to increase ties between the two nations. He looked around, seeing if he could find anyone from a more familiar nation.

Somsung wasn't happy to see him, Luxembourg, not the best ties with them. Some arguments in the CSL and not helping them in the war. Luxembourg was also an interesting intelligence case... For him. The Dutch had complicated that. He was still figuring it all out. But he started at rhe Luxembourgish rep unlike any other, like he was ready to head to him and do something really bad but for now he held his arms and mind on the chair...

But he was excited, to help increase relations. With the BA, to increase ties between the two nations. He looked around, seeing if he could find anyone from a more familiar nation.

Olaf noticed the seemingly anxious man, and approached with a friendly wave. “You must be from Luxembourg.. thank you for coming! It means a lot to have such a good turnout for my inauguration, truly, I appreciate it.”

The Daeva wrote:Shahzadeh Adonijjah entered the place, a look of slight nervousness on his face.

“Shahzadeh.” Olaf uttered simply, with what seemed to be a more formal tone, although still paired with a polite smile. “Thank you for coming. I am aware that our nations have not enjoyed the closest of ties as of late, but I hope that you enjoy this celebration along with the rest of us. Truthfully, it is a shame to see our national relations decline, but I am sure we can one day reach the same level of international unity and harmony as we once did with my predecessors.”

Olaf waved back, with a nod of acknowledgment. “Ah, good to see you here. Thank you for coming, how has your nation been as of late?”

Upon noticing Vana’s presence there, Olaf’s face lit up, and the soon to be president walked towards her with a gleeful beam. “Vana! It’s so good to see you again. Thank you for coming today.. I’ve missed you, really.” He says sincerely, his eyes sparkling with joy. “Ah.. I nearly forgot.” His smile grew slightly, and he picked up a small but vibrant bouquet of crimson roses from the table, handing them to her. “I got these for you.. I do hope you like them.”

As the Old Defense Minister arrived from the run-down car sponsored by the British brand "Jaguar", an old model. He would depart from his automobile and head toward the gates of where the Inauguration would occur for the now sworn in President Kurtii. Aino would recall some moments that Olaf was just a diplomat he met in various meetings with other national diplomats. Wearing not a flashy suit, but wearing a flannel and a coat as his attire. As such, he would wear an Bagazian pin on the flannel to represent his country. Entering in, Mr. Laine would see the many attendees that have arrived, letting out a sigh of relief to know he isn't the first one there. This nation hasn't been acitve in international affairs, so being here would be its first meeting in a long time.
Aino would see Mr. Kurtii, rummaging through his pockets to find the water bottle he had brought. Finding it, the bottle seemed in perfect condition, as he would walk toward the man himself to greet him.
He would extend out his hand to Olaf, finally speaking since he arrived.
"Greetings, long time since I've last saw you. How've you been doing as of late? I've heard you are becoming Arz's new leader. I pray that you do your nation well."

Arakhkhar wrote:The arrival of the Arakhkhari delegation was, indeed, an affair of its own.

Vana and the Intendant Karina walked briskly through the halls - finally coming upon Olaf. Vana, of course, with a smile upon her face.

The pair were followed, naturally, by operatives of the ISI, along with the twin Praetorians - twin squads, of course. And unlike the others, the ISI was... not limited to operate within the area, unlike the other delegations. As such, purple-goggled agents sat across the palace in a variety of places - outside, and on the premises - armed, and maintaining security for the good Baron.
The ISI Black Operations troopers stared at the Fravashi counterparts in particular, their callous masks giving no hint as to the intent behind them.

Vana was the first of the Arakhkhari group to approach the Baron, with a smile.

"Ah, my good Baron..."
She spoke with a regal, if somewhat sultry tone.
"And you've brought a gift."
She gently picks the roses from his hand.
"You are... such a gentleman, you know? Truly, Baron..."
A smile played at her lips.
"A gentleman indeed."

She gestured to one of the ISI agents, who presented a small box - carved from Arakhkhari pine, seemingly hand-sculpted - with a variety of intricate carvings.
"I am not one to arrive without gifts, myself."
She presented the box with something of a blush.

“Wonderful!” Nevarrón exclaims with her usual spot of joy surrounding her, moving on over and in to opt for a bit of an unexpected measure, but going to drop her heavy cases and swinging her arms on in to hug upon the Vice-Governor, holding on for a moment before reeling a small bit back to clarify some things!

“Well, aside from riding in basically the luggage section! Good thing I helped tie everything down, so I knew where I could rest myself within all the boxes and crates!” She’d joke a little bit, though chuckling nervously! “My mother told me all I could bring was anything that couldn’t be a bullet, so I couldn’t bring any real guns with me! A shame but, well, I still brought a lot!” Nevarrón noted, that hug of hers felt a little bit stiff: given, her outfit does have the look of a lot of plating situated within underneath itself, for one! “But nonetheless, we shall enjoy ourselves once I give my proper greetings to the man of the hour!”

About half ready to do so, Nevarrón was about to go on and give her big and beautiful greetings towards Olaf as well, although stops short when Vana arrives within his sight! Rather respecting of the matter, she opts to simply smile and give a small salute towards the two of them: on the offside, she’s been well intrigued within hoping to see the two of them nice and well together: it’s why the Grasp chose to jump the gap in the intervention and move in before most of the Directorate. She gives a light “aww!” to the gesture of the roses, feeling the romance within the air tonight, for certain!

Of course, her big mouth does open on up, and she lets out a cheer of approval towards the two of them. “Such marvelous romanticism! A tale of love and war for the ages, forevermore!”
Lovable rogue mercenary nation, always taking the impractical solutions to a problem. They usually work. Trust me.

While Somsung was looking everywhere he had forgotten his suitcase. He cleared his throat, "Hmm, excuse me." He said as he made his way outside in a rapid time without much noise, he kind of slided across the floor. He looked around first and made his way to his car looking around again before going inside the car, some sounds of opening and closing could be heard.
