Years of nuclear testing... Dumping that same waste into the ocean...created a monster.
A monster none would have seen before....

Trying something that doesn't start with (OMG WAR!!!)
(Heavily based on Shin Godzilla, but with a different (and original-ish) kaiju)

This monster has the ability to evolve quickly, but unlike Shin Godzilla, it needs energy to evolve into new forms/evolve new attributes.

Rules:
WILL start out as a mainly reaction thread-ish, with preparation and announcements allowed. Will progress into eventual battle.
Tied in to the above rule, the first 3 or 2 forms of the creature shall not be attacked, with the third only maybe lightly attacked.
If the creature gains the ability to produce smaller creatures, nations may control those organisms if they attack those nations/in general just exist. (I mean role-playing as those creatures)
This event doesn't take place in a universe where Kaiju are common or are actually known to exist.
The main area it happens will be around China-Japan.
This takes place in the late 1990s to early 2000s, but PMT tech and MT tech is still allowed.

All was fine on the streets of Seoul.
Streets bustling with your average Koreans.

But, this city would be striked by something.. Inhumane. Not any known animal.
China (for plot reasons) had recently been terrorized by a nuclear power plant accident.. While not as dangerous as Chernobyl...the main mass of radiation flew into the ocean.
One fish was all it took.

Then...it emerged.
Head and neck, poking out of the water, 35 meters into the air. The head came down, striking the water and causing waves that destroyed any coastal buildings.

News broadcasts aired, however people thought it was fake.
No matter whether it was fake or not, the governments of various nations wouldn't just sit around.
So, South Korea sent coast guard and some light navy to attack it whenever it would make its next appearance.. But nothing appeared... Yet.

The drone submarine, .'Plaid Secular Humanism'. put to sea. It's mission: investigate the creature that attacked South Korea. A week later it arrived and began monitoring all scientific data. "Squids, molluscs, crabs normal." said a technician. Suddenly, a giant squid raced past, followed by a pod of whales. "What is causing this?" A marine biologist said. "OOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" The undersea microphone recorded the sound.

"Dr. Bane, Computer match of sea life sounds says no known natural sound match." An acoustics tech said.
"Continue monitoring." "Dr. Bane, radiation increasing and there's a huge heat signature approaching at sixty miles an hour," Another tech called. "SONAR CONTACT! CAMERA CONTACT!" At least 300 feet long, a giant Coelancanth[SEEALLENKANTH]swam by.

"But it's mutated to have arms and legs, too." Dr. Bane decided. "Fire a magnetic tracker to keep this thing monitored." A tiny torpedo was fired at the Coelancath. It latched onto the creature. Instantly, a sea of biometric data flooded the computer.

"Oh no." A Fish and Game Biologist ran the Data through the Forestry Service. "It's official. 90% chance this thing produces asexually. And ultrasound show it's pregnant."

The data was sent to the South Korean, Taiwanese, Australian, America, Indian, and South African governments. Within hours, there was an international uproar.

The beast groaned as it swam past the drone sub.
It dashed towards a nearby shark, slamming the poor fish into a rock, killing it and consuming it.

It began to groan again as it swam closer for the surface.
FWOOOSH!
People on the beach were quickly drenched as the beast stepped on land, its legs weak and barely holding it up.

The creature began to slowly walk, groaning softly with each step. It was searching for a place to make a nest.
It pushed cars, and civilians ran in fear as it slowly moved forward.

Area 88, Crimetopolis B.

Dr. Hippolyta Thurman proudly announced to the generals and politicians. "Super Tank is fully ready for service. The closest mech is Mecha-Rottweilerion, and it one week away from final approval."

Super Tank was a ginormous M48A3-looking tank. It had twin 150mm automatic cannon in its turret. A plasma cannon was mounted on the turrets left side. An artificial lightning projector was mounted on the turret's right side.

"We wish to see a first demonstration." a senator said. "Please follow me to this bunker." They did. Dr. Thurman smiled as Super-Tank plasma engine hummed into life. And then it became airborne! It hovered, looped, and blasted targets on the move."

"I'm impressed." said a General. "And, to defray costs, through TOYCO, we are releasing a video game, comic book, toys, and a sci-fi cartoon show." "Senators, I understand we must watch the pocketbook." "Excellent." smiled a senator. "

All over Crimetopolis B, Super Tank was an instant sensation. The Government liked the cash flow, too.

Meanwhile in his office, Leader turns on the TV to watch the news when the latest headline immediately pops up about a gargantuan Godzilla like beast emerging from the waves and terrorizing the Chinese and Japanese coasts. Shocked, Leader turns to his Minister of Biology and asks, "What. In the name of Violet. Is THAT." to which the minister is completely silent, frozen with shock.

Leader then calls the leaders of Godzilland and Crimetopolis B, asking if they require military assistance in order to deal with this beast.

Meanwhile in his office, Leader turns on the TV to watch the news when the latest headline immediately pops up about a gargantuan Godzilla like beast emerging from the waves and terrorizing the Chinese and Japanese coasts. The beast continued walking before approaching a large mall.
It slammed its tail into the mall, destroying a large area of the mall, killing multiple people.

The creature then wiped away some of the debris and stood in the center, beginning to grunt as it prepared for laying of eggs.

It's horrific sounds echoed throughout the city as one egg, then two, then three popped out. Three Large eggs set in the nest, each around 5-10 meters tall.
Exhausted, the beast collapsed, resting on top of the eggs.

Scientists and military analysts both confirmed the most likely place for a Kaiju attack was Toxic Waste Dump City. Super Tank was flown there and based at the army base there. Why? Founded in 1945, Toxic Waste Dump City had mutant issues since 1959, when thirty foot long and 4X4 pickup truck-thick Cobras. The chemically based mutant horrors were vicious and highly aggressive.

Despite the best efforts of the police, fish and game, animal control, and the military, they could only contain them. They weren't the only menace. While the 1947 Whaling Ban had ended the giant squid problem in coastal waters, alligators, crocodiles, snakes, and logger head turtles were a big menace.

Not to mention coyotes. bears, badgers, panthers, pit-bulls, bobcats, and raccoons were a menace, too. 13 year old Level C Junior Forest Ranger Theresa McClure rode her black stallion as she patrolled the city beach. The girl had already shot a rabid bear as it menaced people at a bus stop. She wore a short, brown haircut and had grey eyes.

She wore a smokey bear light tan hat, a short sleeve shirt, knee-length cargo shorts, and desert boots. She was armed with a .357 magnum revolver belted around her waist. A lever action .357 magnum carbine was in her horse's scabbard. A radio was in her vest. 1:50 p.m. The relief truck came,

Theresa dismounted. She removed her horse's saddle and watered and brushed it. Her lever action was slung over her shoulder in a back scabbard. The truck gave her a bottle of cold water. She guzzled it. "Thank you." Her radio crackled. "Excused until 0700 Monday. Ranger, stay safe."

She hugged Midnight before he was taken back to stable. ROB-U-MART 153 was across the street. She went there and drained another water bottle. Potty time, Theresa then purchased three Monster Sugar Free Energy Orange drinks. Because of the brutal heat, She caught the bus home to the Unhappy Camper Trailer Park. She put her energy drinks in the fridge.

She then potty-walked Claudius, her Doberman Pinscher. Five days a week, they ran on the beach 5 miles one way. Theresa wore a sports bra, shorts, and athletic sandals. She carried a large canteen, a dog bowl, and a gladius sword. After she killed four rape crew members, nobody messed with her after that.

Then, she mowed her small lawn. She drank some more water and field stripped her revolver and lever action for cleaning. She drank an Energy Drink and felt truly refreshed. Three p.m. she showered and dressed in athletic sandals, knee length cargo shorts and a moisture-wicking t-shirt atop a sports bra. A Boonie hat and sunglasses completed her look.

Three Thirty. Again, the bus. GROCEX. It was her turn to cook. Spaghetti, Mild Italian Sausage, Mozzarella cheese, Garlic Bread, Marinara Sauce, and Parmesan cheese. She also purchased two different kinds of ice cream for dessert.

The bus. Home. Cooking. NEWSROCK 89.5 FM played on her radio. All 80s rock with a hyper-accurate weather report and in depth scheduled news coverage.
The spaghetti boiled as the sausage grilled. In the airfryer, the garlic bread baked.

"And that was 'Industrial Disease' by the Kinks. And Now the Five PM News. A giant monster attack in South Korea has killed hundreds and wounded thousand. The South Korean military has surrounded the monster's position. We expect an attack shortly."

"In local news, the mobile animal inoculation clinic will be at Unhappy Camper Trailer Park this Saturday from 9-7. Basic veterinary care will also be available. And donations will be taken for the animal care society."

Theresa used a cutting board to chop up the now cooked Italian mild sausage. A bolo-pattern BLADECO cooking knife made it hyper-easy, too. It was all done. 5:30. Daddy and Mommy both arrived home. They hugged.

"And now, the weather report. Tonight, breezy and warm, low 75. Tomorrow, breezy, warm, and sunny in the morning, but with violent storms after 3 p.m. A tornado outbreak is expected. Tomorrow's high 88. Tomorrow night, Clearing after 11 p.m. with a low of 48 degrees. Saturday, Sunny with a high of 65. Please stay weather aware tomorrow."

Sports was next. "Jetski racing this Saturday from 12 noon to 11 p.m. Also, Hoplite War XXXVIII coming up next month." Theresa's face brightened. "I'd love to try that." "If you pay for your weapons and armor." Daniela, Theresa's Mom said. Her Dad agreed."

The reason Theresa did not do the Spartan Race? A friend had crossed the finish line first and the official call of victory was made. He had collapsed from exhaustion before the traditional spear throw at a target. The second snatched the spear and hit the target.

He demanded and got first place as the true winner was loaded into an ambulance. The coward then decried his competitor as a sissy, unworthy of honor. Theresa had won third place. She was so disgusted at this treason she used her bronze medal for target practice and mailed it back to the Race Committee.

Needless to say, she banned for life. But as she planned for sport, little did she realize that the events unfolding in South Korea would eventually involve her.

Daphomir, seeing the chaos the beast is causing in the East Asian waters, decided to send a fleet of around 20 ships, including 2 carriers, to keep an eye on the monster, and engage if necessary.

[Socalist Republic Of Mercenaries]

The Glasburg Archipelago had a large insular shelf surrounding it, with a relatively uniform depth of 150 meters all round for a diameter of 2,500 km. It helped keep the water at a comfortable 82°F, and was affectionately nicknamed by the navy as the "bathtub". It discouraged submarine operations, and acted as a natural defensive barrier, also coupled with multiple naval batteries covering it from all sides. Carrier training operations were often carrier out here, because of how convenient it was.

A single EF-7M Sturmvogel screeched down from the sky, coming back from regular patrols,its airbrake extended as it touched down on the carrier deck.

The beast slowly got up, its legs slowly morphing to better keep the weight of the beast up.
Seeing its surrounding enemies, the beast let out a mighty roar before dashing at full speed, around 45 mph away from the nest and towards the ocean, trampling some tanks and soldiers in the process.

The Korean soldiers were confused, why would it leave its children alone?
Upon inspecting the eggs, they were circular and clear, much like a fish, and they were around 10 meters in height. They found out the eggs were oddly durable, resistant to even the hardest hammer strike.

Meanwhile, the beast trampled into the ocean, tripping and falling into the water, creating a large splash as it quickly swam away.

[Crimetopolis B]

A patrolling F-16 Viper saw it. "It's headed towards Toxic Waste Dump City. ETA 90 hours." The creature was moving on the surface. Air Force base radioed it to the Defense Ministry in Little GTA Vice city. "Monitor but donot attack."

Defenses were fully activated. The whole navy was sent to hunt the thing. If it came within 100 miles of the coast. F-104G starfighters did combat air patrols. Tanks, MLRS, and other weapons were lining the docks. Bomber squadrons were on full alert.

After Leader gave a speech to the entire nation about the rising threat of 'Big Zilla,' (the Daphomirian name for the beast) the NDDR was ultimately lowered to Level Three, two steps away from world war. Even though this was not an imminent world war, the threat was much the same. All Daphomirian ships nearing the area were ordered to engage only upon command from home.

The creature continued to swim, farther and farther it went, while slowly evolving.
Eventually, after going missing on the radar, it resurfaced, with disgusting, yellow-ish skin. Standing fully upright, the beast slowly began walking, with seemingly zero purpose.

Meanwhile.. In Seoul..
The eggs were brought into captivity by some Korean researchers. Researching the three eggs, they observed.
Soon...one shook. It shook heavy, a crack forming in the shell. The being inside was slowly moving.

[Crimetopolis B]

An F-16 Viper saw the creature turn towards a field of Daphomerian offshore oil rigs. "Attention Daphomerian oil rigs. The creature Big Zilla is headed your way! Evacuate now!" The pilot radioed.

Within moments, Daphomer got an emergency bulletin. "We can have a squadron of F-104G jets rocket that thing. At the very least, it will delay the creature and allow more time for evacuation. We are also willing to send rescue forces."

Big Zilla continued walking, now appearing to want to consume the oil for unknown reasons.
Near a rig, it began to hack and slash at it, slowly tearing it apart before consuming any stored oil.


Back at the research lab, the egg was continuing to cause a ruckus.
It continued to crack some while small chirps (not bird-like) were heard from the being inside.

The bombardments blasted a hole in Big Zilla's chest, blood spewing out, however, the blood seemed to be...acidic, with some dead, bare bone fish rising to the surface.

With a pained roar, Big Zilla began spewing a beam of that same blood (but more concentrated and more pressured) at planes that were swooping down, drenching a few of them in the blood and causing them to crash.

It continued its walk, despite being attacked.
Then, it began to "hibernate", curling its head into its chest for a short period of time while the wounds from the missiles quickly healed.

Bits and pieces of Big Zilla floated in the sea. While the squids, octopi, jelly fish, sharks, fish, and avoided it, they made it ashore. Somehow, an intelligence thrived in them. Insects, arachnids, and bug-type creatures avoided it. Birds, coyotes, snakes, alligators, coyotes, crocodiles, raccoons, bears, and stray cats and dogs consumed them. Big Zilla and the mutant Cobras would soon not be the mutant giant creatures around.

0930 Toxic Waste Dump City.
Theresa McClure left the gym after nautilus. She went to the bank. "Your vacation club is due Today. You've saved up $4,300.00." She put $1100 in savings." Gunco and BladeCo. were next. "Let's see....." The Clerk said. "You've put away $30.00 a week since October. 'You've $1,300.00 store credit."

Theresa gun and weapons shopped. Then she got Chinese Take Out and Brown Rice. She got some energy drinks and rode the bus home. She checked. "COOL! 'Fallout 1899, Nazi Storm, and Red Dead WWI: Arthur Morgan Edition.' She readied her videogame console after potty walking Claudius. The clouds were racing by overhead, but the birds were still singing.

Theresa knew that animals go silent five minutes before a violent storm hits.
Claudius relieved himself and they returned to the trailer. She showered. Newrock announced a PDS Tornado Watch until ten and returned to playing music.

Toxic Waste Dump City Air Force Base. Lead by a scout F-16 Viper, Fifty F-104Gs flew towards Big Zilla. They rocketed it with napalm, engulfing him in a sea of fire. The jets returned all to base and were placed in secure bunkers.

Big Zilla roared out in pain as fire burnt its whole body, the beast thrashing before collapsing into the water, its skin black and burnt as it weakly swam away, once again disappearing from any radar.

Meanwhile...The containment facility for the eggs was filled with noises....as suddenly, the previously cracked egg..
CRRK!
CRACK!
Had hatched. The newborn creature, 10 feet tall, rested on the ground, skin red and covered in goop, and two big cartoonish eyes on the sides.
It got up.
Chirp!
It made a noise as a nearby scientist came in to examine the new born.
The same scientist decided to name this baby Junior, and began his care of the baby.

Theresa finished the meal. Brown Rice, Creamy Peanut Chicken, BBQ Asian Ribs, Bacon wrapped hotdogs. Her Mom was getting her annual physical so she was excused for the day from work. Mom wanted a black boy kitten.

Theresa had called the animal shelter but there were none there. Mrs. Miller's cat, Ruby Jewel, was nursing kittens, but they were too little for adoption. Theresa checked her finances. There was still a big surplus despite her activities.

She played videogames to relax. Dad got and Mom both got home at 3:30. Mom smiled. "Good news on my physical, passed." She smiled. "And I got a kitten!" She held a tiny black boy. "He's awfully little where did you get him?"

"Found him in a ditch beside the clinic." "Mom, we need to call the vet." "It's getting really bad out there." "Coastal Farm States is just across the street, I'll get a bottle and some formula." Theresa soon returned. "Carrier, litterbox, cat toys, cat supplies, formula and baby bottles."

Roger the Lodger stopped crying as he guzzled his formula. Like an alky hugging his liquor bottle, the infant kitten death-gripped that bottle.
Mom took him to the bathroom.

She stimulated him to make him go potty in the sink. He relieved himself.
He yawned and dozed off. Theresa put him inside the carrier with both a towel and a teddy bear. Mom cleaned the sink and washed her hands, as did they all.

Grace and supper. "Oh, thank you!" Dad looked happy. While not life threatening, his chronic stomach disease was controlled by eating brown rice at meals, five days a week. This meant lots of gravy and spicy foods,
Which Theresa and her Mom both liked.

Meanwhile, air sea rescue saved the downed pilots. A week in hospital, and they were okay. However, the disappearance of Big Zilla coincided with the discovery of new mutants."
The baby chihuahua's mother had eaten a blob of Big Zilla's flesh while pregnant as a stray near Braxtonville-By-the-Sea. A deer hunter found her and took her to a local vet.

"Because she's wee little. she should give birth in hospital." He smiled. "Agreed." Three weeks, the puppies were sent home. One tan puppy crawled to him. "Da-Da." It said. The other puppies in the litter soon began speaking.

The hunter called the veterinary hospital. In turn, Area 57 was alerted.
Muffy-Belle and puppies were taken there. The lab work showed no dangerous mutations. The decision was made: While registered with the government, Muffy-Belle and her puppies were returned to the hunter and his family.

The puppies were not alone. Soon, other stray cats and dogs exhibited this strange ability. Fish and Game began a survey of the local Braxtonville-By-the-Sea local animal life.

The military stockpiled napalm. Areas 57, 69, and 88 developed mechs and robots. But Fish and Game developed a poison gas consisting of every known snake venom. It would be a last ditch defense against Big Zilla.

Militarily, the drone submarine, 'Plaid Secular Humanism', however; it could not find Big Zilla.

Junior seemed to be docile, only biting or nipping at nearby people if provoked or agitated. Other than that, he was mainly calm. His skin, although red and bloody, was surprisingly durable, shown when a skin sample was able to stop a bullet from digging too deep.

Dr. Jonah Stevenson, the scientist who decided to take care of Junior, would occasionally feed him. Junior was also surprisingly playful. He loved to kick and push around beach balls, dodgeballs, soccerballs, etc.

He also was pretty smart for an animal. When trying out a new game with Dr. Stevenson, which was Catch, Junior was able to understand to throw it back, although the ball wasn't thrown all that far.

The scientists at the base all decided they would use Junior or study him to help end Big Zilla.
