Azmanev Park, Azmenabad

This was it thought President Yuri Korolev was he manned the stage in Azmanev Park. The big day. The day which marked the foundation of the Collective Security League a year ago, and beyond that, to him signified the emergence of Azmeny as a great nation, and a rising power in global Politics.

The collective security league had done much for Azmeny, and for all its members. Since its foundation a year ago, it had done much to promote its central values of democracy and human rights, values Korolev regarded with great respect. He knew well the controversy of the alliance too- it had as many detractors as supporters, and at times was a little blunt on its dealings with the world. But he, like most Azmen felt grateful for the alliance, which had spearheaded the country’s transformation from an isolated state with a small population to a military and geopolitical power, able to assert itself on the world stage with increasing confidence. Regardless of whether the alliance was to be loathed or admired, the anniversary was nonetheless an important day to commemorate.

He looked around him, to the scenic setting of Azmanev park. Formerly the grounds of the Royal Palace, the large expanse of open space in central Azmenabad was made into a public park following the 1963 revolution. In the 61 years since, it had seen many events, from the highs of Petr Azmanev’s inauguration to his brutal execution. It was certainly a location with a sense of gravity and grandeur.

Between the tree lined walks, and on the expanses of carefully curated grass, pavilions had been set up for the great Exposition, which would be the center of CSL Day. Taking pride of place in the eclectic mix of structures, which represented nations from all the world, was the Azmen pavilion. The pavilion’s contents had been carefully curated, to show Azmen technological prowess and the strength of the country’s socialist economy. This was signified in part by the large rocket, a huge scale model of Azmeny’s latest launch vehicle, and in part by the contents of the structure, which showed the story of Azmeny’s struggle, and the success granted at the end. The building, while outwardly modern, had cues which spoke of Azmeny’s culture, and of the people who were- for the most part proud to call that land their home.

Korolev began to speak to the crowds which filled the park from all corners of the earth, to the Azmen capital
“People of the world, it is a great honour to invite you all to Azmenabad on the anniversary of the founding of the Collective Security League. Today, we mark the events of a year prior, and mark the tumultuous path on which we started travelling on.

A year ago, the People’s Republic of Azmeny was an obscure nation. Some of you may never have heard of it. We were a small, insignificant nation on the fringes of geopolitics. A backwater.

Now, however things have changed. Azmeny and the Collective Security League have since then, fought countless wars, liberated nations, inspired controversy and done much besides. We, the nations of this Alliance have started a journey towards global democracy, peace and prosperity. To a world where people can live in freedom and harmony around the world.

We have a long journey ahead. The world, is still awash with tyranny, the oppression of people and the enduring power of imperialism hangs over this globe. But, we have made the first steps on that long and winding road to a better tomorrow, and we venture out of the darkness of dictatorship into the light of liberty.

So now, let us celebrate this day, and the nations who made it a possibility. Let us celebrate this alliance, this promise. And on the anniversary of our foundation, to reaffirm our values, beliefs and ideals so we can arrive at a democratic destiny.”

The crowd, many of whom held Azmen and CSL flags, alongside those of countless other nations cheered. Cameras flashed. Korolev beamed, a broad smile across his face. He was proud.

A thank you message:
Whoah guys, I can’t believe this alliance is a year old! I want to thank all of you for making this possible, for sticking with me and making NS (for 5e most part) a real pleasure. I’m immensely grateful for the IC allies, and beyond that, the OOC friends I’ve made on this bizarre yet enjoyable journey. So I want to thank you all for doing this, you’ve made me feel welcomed, and beyond that a valuable part of the NS international community It’s been a real pleasure to work with y’all, and I hope we can last another amazing year. Thank you all so much.

Event plan
The main CSL day event will be in Azmenabad, with a large expo held in Azmanev park in the city centre. Each CSL member or observer may set up a pavilion, to show off cultural and technological achievements, and to show the variety of nations which make up the CSL. You can show of military stuff, but considering I held an arms expo fairly recently, I do not wish for that to be the main focus of the expo.

There will also be a stage for speeches, if you wish to address the crowds and international media present. Heads of state would be most welcomed.

There will also be a military parade and flypast to conclude the festivities, you can send your own soldiers/equipment to participate. Hopefully, they’ll also be a chance for informal negotiations and agreements between attending nations.

Rules and Guidlines
1) this is an expo, and celebration of a year of the CSL. This is not a military RP, more of a kind of get together for the CSL nations and leaders, although other countries are welcome to attend.

2) Have fun and be respectful.

3) I am OP, please listen to my suggestions if I request you to do something.

As the time ticks down, the Gonswanzans arrive, neat and orderly, present and brave, as Faust pours outwith contractors to get the Gonswanzan pavilion set up. Flags are flown prpudly with a statue of the glorious leader erected, amd a tall flagpole also erected, the Gonswanzan flag flying high and proud. Yet, the military equipment lay hidden in shipping containers and under tarp, while infantry review their marches, and prepare for their song, later.

Juanita Del Rey posters were also plastered around, as a few cosplaying Faust members jumped in to act like goofy companions, donning gas masks with pink capes and mad max esque armor, holding dolled up rifles with a flared heart shaped muzzle device or a rocket launcher shaped like a heart painted in pink. Faust seems to have its fans of Juanita Del Rey... Though the majority wore RATNIK, talking among themselves as they scouted out the area, being quite well organized for a band of mercs.
Praise our glorious leader Laura Ortiz!

The Marinian Pavillion's fountains burbled gently in the background, as the golden sun beat down on the Marinian Pavillion. A large, glass and steel building with a low, gracefully curved wooden roof, the pavillion spread elegantly across the ground. In front of the two fountains that flanked the Pavillion was a large flagpole, from which the red and blue Marinian flag streamed against a sky the colour of sapphire. Within the pavillion two humanoid robots greeted onlookers with a friendly smile and wave.

"Welcome to the Marinian Pavillion," said a computerised male voice. "We hope you enjoy your time."

Of course, the robots did more than just wave and smile. If asked, their AI large language models could respond to most, if not all, visitor queries. The idea fundamentally fitted well with Greater Marine's aims - to show a modern nation, one that looked to the future that already seemed near. An art gallery, filled with photographs, sculptures and paintings filled the East Wing, flooded by sunlight from the floor to ceiling windows that covered the wall, and the skylights above. Downstairs, visitors streamed through an exhibition on Marinian history, showcasing everything from pre-colombian statues, Marinian flags carried in the revolution, to classic cars and lunar landers. The exhibition was arranged chronologically, from 1000AD to a projection of the country's future, up to 2100, with each of the 6 rooms centred on a large scale model, made of lego, depicting Eldorado from 1600 to 2050. Outside sculptures lined the path that winded through the Pavillion's grassy surroundings, and opposite the flagpole, an altair II rocket towered above, back-lit by a radiant sun.

As the Luxembourgish pavilion, was being set up.Trucks filled with cages, showed up next to it.As the Luxembourgish, opened them up and pulled out the cages. As they would set up the cages, they would bring in more things. As the parade would, start soon and they needed to hurry up.Some Luxembourgish flags, would put up as the winds.Soft breeze, made the flags sway in the air.A capybara, petting station would set up.As for the military parade, the Luxembourgish were in the back.Tables were set up, to show off Luxembourgish food.

The Boldonian pavilion was to just be a small modest structure, this was supposed to the the CSL's day not Boldonia's. Regardless it was still brimming with color as ten different flags flew from it, the Boldonian flag itself and nine others from each Boldonian state. Each one stood out with their unofficial state color proudly shown for all in Azmenabad to see. Inside the building itself were various different displays and photos all lining the wall. Unlike other nations Boldonia didn't have that much of a unique culture, what it did have was simply borrowed from other nations. The Americans of course were the biggest influence, but here in Azmenabad the Boldonians wanted to show the other main influences on Boldonian culture, Spain and Britian. Much of the food the Boldonians brought originated from Eastisle City, Spanish dishes mixed with Pacific seafood and American ingredients. There were also some elements of Anglo-Boldonian culture to be seen, if visitors wanted they could get some tea at a small counter and a compliment of various tea sandwiches.

However by far the most prominent features of the Boldonian exhibit remained American. Along the walls were display cases detailing the Boldonian Islands Campaign of World War II from the various fronts. There were three sections, the south, the north, and Eastisle. The southern one was the most extensive one with various weapons and memorabilia from Japanese, American, and Resistance origin, all locked in display cases of course. The northern one was less extensive however, but there were still many images and items to look at. Then there was the Eastisle one, one of the more forgotten fronts of the war in Boldonia. It was marked by a big poster depicting a Colonial Guard officer wearing a wide brim hat and holding a Spanish Mauser rifle. The words "¡La Guardia Colonial te Busca!" were printed on the top but on the bottom in red paint "¡Resistir por Islaeste, por América!" was vandalized on it with a red X with two dots, one on each side, in a symbol that represented the flag of Eastisle South on it. Inside the display cases the actions of Spanish-Boldonian resistance was chronicaled as the story of how the Colonial Guard, nothing more than a police agency in modern Boldonia and a similar law enforcement group pre-America, led the resistance campaign against the Japanese in Eastisle.

In the center was the pièce de résistance, a scale model of Downtown Parmilo made out of aluminum, scaled down to fit on the floor. The buildings weren't that detailed but they did have the shape of their real counterparts preserved. Around the model were info panels detailing the scale, every 1.2 feet represented a mile, further going into detail for various measurements. The streets were labeled with Honolulu Avenue right next to the bay. Interstate B101 leading to the Simmons Causeway sat on the eastern end of the display with the Ferdinand Magellan Causeway located 3 miles south serving as the western end. The display ended with Parmilo Bay serving as the southern end and Interstate B1 at the north. If one squinted down Hagatna Street in the north, one could see a tiny little Marinian flag hanging from one of the office buildings, denoting the location of Greater Marine's consulate in the city. The info boards gave the addresses to various landmarks in downtown and the addresses could be seen on the display by a number engraved into the top of each building.

Among the crowds, the Azmen Minister for Trade and Economics admired the pavilions of the expo. His eyes darted between them, before settling on the large, impressive Marinian pavilion, with its sparkling fountains and eye-catching robots. He was welcomed by the robots as he walked in, and looked briefly at the art on display. He did appreciate art, before seeing the scale models of Eldorado, which provided an impressive display.

He checked his watch 10:12. He had little time to lose. He waited patiently for the Marinian Commerce minister to appear. He had much to discuss- the Azmen economy could certainly do with the advanced technology on display, the kind which was on display here. For behind the country’s military and the shining facades of Azmenabad, the country still lagged behind other nations technologically, and the Marinian technology could do much to inject new life into the state run economy. The decades of isolation had meant Azmeny lacked many of the computerised systems available in other nations, and Azmen factories and oil refineries were running on legacy hardware, to the nations great embarrassment.

He waited patiently for his counterparts arrival. They indeed would have much to discuss.

Daevan Pavilion Theme:https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DUCJF4035Zs

The Daevan Pavilion, Azmenabad, Azmeny

The Daevan Pavilion was made to impress. A structure of stone and gold, it was decorated in Babylonian style murals of ancient Padeshahs and battles of antiquities. It was designed to resemble ancient temples and ziggurats, the only indicator of its modernity was the Daevan Flag flying proudly over it. It was surely more exotic than most of the other pavilions, which helped draw tourists in. Classical music wafted delicately from inside the pavilion, where a full orchestra played refined classical music from an orchestra pit. Inside the Pavilion were ancient artifacts dating from the Achaemenid Empire and beyond, with interesting pieces including the figurehead of Padeshah Hayreddin’s Privateer, Antique Swords, and most interestingly, a mummy in a gilded sarcophagus. A plaque cheerfully explained that the mummy inside was a would-be usurper to the throne from Roman times, who had been mummified alive as punishment. A grim tale, but tourists would lap it up. The gift shop sold replicas of all the artifacts, along with other Daevan memorabilia. Lastly, a dining room served high class Daevan cuisine, for those who desired something more fancy than the usual carnival fare. The Pavilion sat opposite the Marinian Pavilion, its stone surface contrasting the Marinains futuristic style…

Azmenabad Airport, Azmenabad, Azmeny

The Osprey landed like a giant predatory bird, it’s massive black boomerang shape bringing to mind stealth bombers. Which was good, as the Chakravarti Class was designed off of a Marinian Stealth Bomber. Shahzadeh Adonijjah sat in the planes stateroom, excitedly waiting for his arrival to the festivities. The young prince was a handsome olive skinned man, with black hair and Chakravarti grey eyes. He wore a light grey suit with a blue dueling cape over one shoulder. A gold circlet studded with sapphires rested upon his head, and a ceremonial curved sword hung at his waist.

Despite the rather fearsome blade, the Shahzadeh was an affable diplomat at heart, and he was excited to meet officials from his allied nations. Perhaps some good could come from today, he thought as he disembarked the plane and boarded his car, flanked by a guard of 12 Fravashi. The Padeshah was taking no chances with his heir apparent…

"One moment," said the secretary at the desk in the atrium. "The minister should be here shortly."

A large limousine, escorted by police motorbikes soon drove up the driveway, before a white-gloved chauffeur opened the door. He gave a stiff bow to the man exiting the car, a tall, bue-suited, black-haired man of about 35, flanked by 2 aides. In spite of the apparent forcefulness of this gesture, though, his eyes looked kindly at the Azmen minister, and a smile was spread across his clean-shaven face.

"Sorry, minister, for the delay," he said, as he shook the hand of his Azmen counterpart. "It's so great to finally see you in person. So, I trust you're here for a reason besides talking to robots and looking at paintings, enjoyable as that can be."

“Quite so. We have much to discuss here, notably with regard to technology transfers. We trust Greater Marine would be willing to share some of the advanced technology to help advance our industry. Our economy is doing well with the assistance of our allies-the figures haven’t yet been published we’ve reported 2.3% GDP growth this year. Now, if we receive western technology-robots, modern software and computer components- we can continue the push onwards. We can compensate in oil and natural gas sales, especially as your nation lacks energy supplies of its own. But it’s merely a suggestion.” he said.

The minister consulted his notes. He knew well that the Azmen state needed the technology of the west. Despite the best efforts of the Azmen state, the country struggled to manufacture computer components. Azmeny’s semiconductor industry, touted as the future of the country in the optimistic days of the 1980s had lost momentum. The Budnikov era had resulted in the politically motivated killing of many engineers, and knowledge had been lost. And while democracy had been restored successfully, the Azmen computer industry since struggled on, beleaguered by inefficient manufacturing and that had a heavy toll on the Azmen state and its economy.

Ilain's arrival was not particularly far of a walk, being not far from the assembly building.

She was, of course, here to represent Arakhkhar - and the ISD, to some extent. She was certainly comforted by the presence of the Arakhkharan military, though - being well aware they were to parade, later on.

The parade, for that matter - was to consist of Arakhkharan Shock Troopers, and new A70 Main Battle Tanks, among other things - likely, to show off in front of a geopolitical rival.

Ilain, for her part - decided to go find Ana, her Volkovogradian friend, and partner in crime.

The Arrival

President Clarkson herself - dressed in a formal military uniform, complete with medals and military badges - wandered around the pavilion as it was being set up, examining each section and nodding conclusively before moving onto the next. The soldiers began working on organising the displays, cleaning the surroundings thoroughly and preparing the structure carefully, the clanging sounds of metal striking metal reverberating through the area.

An enormous clay pot of steaming leek and onion soup - a rather grim looking thick liquid, filled with vegetables and emitting a strange scent - as well as a large container of chicken tikka masala were placed onto one of the surfaces, stacks of styrofoam bowls and bamboo cutlery strewn haphazardly around them. At the back of the pavilion, the ‘historical journey’ section was assembled, a neatly organised tray of ancient British Arzelentaxmaconean gold coins, some traditional robes, and a number of cracked but otherwise intact porcelain pieces set out onto the table, each artefact labelled with a card containing some basic information about the object’s history. Nearby were the pair of ceremonial swords, their finely polished silver surfaces chiselled with ornate designs displaying centuries of Arzelent art, nature and culture in their intricate patterns. A petting zoo was also moved to the front of the pavilion, where a baby gigantipithicus sat amongst a number of plants inside the cage, bowls of food and water as well as rubber gloves placed around it for guests to use.

Situated next to the historical section and a few feet away from the petting zoo was an M-16 assault rifle taking pride of place on a metal stand - a strange sight, when surrounded by artefacts of historical beauty, but chosen specifically by the president to show off BA’s military capabilities. Considering less than positive relations had existed between the Collective Security League and British Arzelentaxmacone, Clarkson had taken careful note in ensuring that their presence there displayed BA’s true military abilities, everything from the ornate swords to the awaiting Type-10 tanks reflecting that. It was - to put it simply - their chance to show off in front of the world.

After all, if BA was to show up, they’d be sure to make the most of it.

Azmanev Park, Azmenabad, Azmeny

The Shahzadeh’s entrance was surprisingly not ostentatious. Still, his clearly royal clothing and phalanx of bodyguards drew him out of a crowd. He made sure to stop at the Daevan pavilion first, where several native Daevan Tourists and Staff bowed in respect to their royal. He accepted the bow gracefully, although inwardly he tired of all the formality. Part of him was glad he was in a socialist nation where there wouldn’t be so much pomp and circumstance. The other part of him was nervous, though. He was used to respect of Royalty, and being in a place that took pride in the exact opposite of that unnerved him. Especially given the park he now stood in used to be a royal palace… he shuddered, and then began his search for President Korolev… he had something to arrange with him…

A couple, Luxembourgish reps were arriving. From, the CSL HQ to the Luxembourgish pavilion, as they would arrive. They started to work, on things before the.Military parade starts, as 10 black SUVs rolled up.Next to the, Luxembourgish pavilion.4 squads of Luxembourgish, soldiers making a small platoon. As a Luxembourgish man, stepped out of one of the SUVs.

He was a 6FT, man with a red tie, blue suit and blue dress pants, with a golden watch. On his right hand, and black glasses. He was escorted by the troops, but also with two body guard detachments.each having 3 body guards, armed with MP5s.The man was Luc Friedan, the prime minister of Luxembourg.

He would walk over, to Luxembourgish pavilion as he walked inside a small, tent. His body guards would, stand outside while the soldiers would, guard the outside.Of the pavilion, to make sure it is protected well. The Luxembourgish prime minister, would sit down petting a capybara. As more food, and decorations were set up, to make the pavilion more presentable.

For her part, Ana sat at a cafe table in front of the Boldonian Pavilion, eating Spanish inspired food. It was closest to Volkovogradian fare she could find at the event. Upon seeing Ilain, she waved excitedly. “Privet, Ilain!” She said enthusiastically, startling a few of the other diners.

"Ana!"
Ilain walked over somewhat briskly. She was in a ceremonial outfit specifically for military officers, not unlike what she was wearing earlier.
She smiled, and tried to find a spot nearby her.

Ana smiled, and gestured to a chair next to her. “Would you like some Churros?” She asks, gesturing to the cinnamon pastries in front of her. She is looking radiant in an earth tone dress, with several almost tribal looking pieces of jewelry. The outfit is immaculate, except for a thin dusting of cinnamon from her dessert.

When little traction was made, the Gonswanzans put up a show. Even if it was early, a passing transport drops off more supplies and Faust members, whike a secobd deploys an Armadillo IFV for display, the members of Faust escorting the tank to the outside display, before walking about on patrol. A small kitchen was also set up in the pavillion, offering ethnic foods from the LatAm region, filling the air with the thick smell of steak, chicken, and spice. Mole, al pastor, tacos, burritos, pambazos, gorditas... As speakers were hooked up to play idle music to fill the air further, though the idle stand outside celebrating Juanita Del Rey was now a mere front for the true display, as the pavilion was getting crammed with junk. At least there was mariachis.

Whilst the pavilion was being built, the British Arzelentaxmaconean flag was hung from the front wall, its crimson surface billowing in the wind as the soldiers rushed to finish the construction.

In the meantime, President Clarkson began strolling around the area, a flask of coffee in hand as she searched for something to do, briefly stopping to admire the Gonswanza pavilion, in particular the tank on display. Eventually, she sat down in the kitchen area, grabbing a burrito and sitting alone outside as she listened in silence to the blaring music.

Ana gives a small smile. “I am kind of glad you said no, I hate to say.” She says as she continues eating. “But, I agree, it is strange. Nice, but strange. Some of these Pavilions are crazy, though. Greater Marine’s has robots, and Daeva’s has sarcophagus supposedly…”

“Mr. President, the honor is mine.” Adonijjah says with a smile, even as the 12 Fravashi size up Korolevs guards. The Shahzadeh wasn’t thrilled that his guards were so suspicious of their Allie’s… but they were antimonarchists Allie’s, so it was understandable. “Your Majesty…” Adonijjah chuckles. “I am afraid you mistake me for my father, Comrade-President, although one day I may indeed be Padeshah. But that is neither here nor there, ah, your assumption is partially correct. It is about the expo, but it does require a conversation before hand.”
Heya! Just your ordinary ruthless pragmatic monarchy. We may be the lesser evil, but we are fancy and polite while doing it!
