Attack of Monster Zero [PT-MT-PMT] [IC] [SIGNUP REQUIRED]

Postby Godzilland » Fri Feb 23, 2024 5:12 pm

Uh oh.
Ghidorah (Monsterverse) has appeared from space, as usual. Surely no match for the kaiju team, right? RIGHT? Oh, crap. Looks like they are asleep, and not responding. Probably them Xiliens again. Its up to the nations of the world to do something about it, and stop Monster Zero.
IC! STARTED PREMATURELY DUE TO ABSENCE OF PEOPLE!

OOC

Rules:
Your entire nation cannot support Ghidorah, but there can be an amount of the population (for some reason) supporting Ghidorah.
No futuristic tech, to add to the challenge.
I will play as Ghidorah.
If you are developing a weapon capable of combating/harming/seriously harming Ghidorah, like PMT or early FT, it must take at least 10 posts (that explain its progress) to complete.

NOTE: The IC will continue going even after Ghidorah is defeated, especially if there are more evil nations.

Above the skies of France, a shadow casted over the Eiffel Tower. Ghidorah, the three headed dragon, swooped down and landed, casting his gravity beams at the Tower, reducing it to metal rubbish in seconds. Ghidorah roared a mighty roar before taking off.

Welp, time for another IC post.

Ghidorah, after destroying the Eiffel Tower, began flying around the planet, searching for a place to destroy. Flying over the Pacific, he found a landmass he hadn't seen before. He roared again before swooping down, checking if civilization was there.

As news of the attack in Paris reached Asondia, protests erupted across the nation calling for the navy to strike down the creature. The government was hesitant though did have an emergency meeting to discuss what to do about Monster Zero, as the meeting held on the many swayed to a defensive approach rather than directly attacking the beast. With the end of the meeting public opinion was calmed and was more open to defensive, with the memory’s of fighting to defend there homeland against western imperialism of the past.

After finding out it was just Easter Island, Ghidorah swiftly destroyed that place and began flying east. In the Bay of Bengal, he found a landmass with a lot of population. Roaring, the beast swooped down into the city, taking out a skyscraper and landing in a nearby field near the city, roaring again as he prepared to attack the city.

News of the attacks on Paris, Easter Island, and the Bay of Bengal was slow to arrive. Most fighters in the Indio Private Fighting Forces Group were either in Lothria or preparing for liberating their home archipelago. However, when news did arrive, many were alarmed. Space hydra angry? That was bad. The IBN ramped up its "law enforcement" boat production (really just military vessels), and the IBAF used its network of recon aircraft to try and spot Ghidorah.
(Assuming this is Monsterverse Ghidy) Most searches ended up futile. However, there was a large tropical storm. It behaved... differently.

(it is)

The storm moved in an erratic pattern, before coming into the Pacific, flying across at rapid speed.
The storm began moving dangerously close to Indios settlements. Lightning stormed down as it descended onto the nearest settlement.

As panic ensued over the city and law and order broke down a squadron of jets peppered the back of the monster with armor-piercing-incendiary rockets as they pulled up and to the left trying to divert its attention.

As this took place police officers desperately tried to direct citizens out of the city. Many left on foot and desperately flooded out causing some to be trampled, as the stampede continued police officers were run over as the crowd turned more and more frantically. The military was scrambling attack jets to distract the beast and naval forces were quickly being mobilized.

(sorry for short post)

The storm was ignored at first. Many typhoons struck the Indios Bravos on a monthly basis, nothing new. However, the movements were... weird. An FWF-30, modified for weather monitoring and now a FWW, flew into the storm.
That's when they realized that angry space hydra was the storm.
Immediately alerting base, the FWW-30 attempted to distract Ghidorah. It had no armaments, any hardpoints were replaced by weather instruments, but could still play a loud noise, and flash disco-esc lights.
The FWW-30 flew Westward, afterburners on but still considerate enough to slow down and wait for Ghidy.

Ghidorah noticed the FWW, landing on the ground. The left head got up close to it, inspecting it before the three heads let out loud roar. The middle head bumped the left one, making the left one fire its Gravity Beam at the FWW.

The FWW-30 was designed to go faster than Mach 20, so the roar wasn't really effective. However, the gravity beam was a problem. Swiftly evading it, the FWW-30 tried to lead Ghidy farther West.

Ghidorah began chasing down the FWW, firing its gravity beams at random times. One of the beams grazed the main propeller of the copter. As Ghidorah followed, so did the tropical storm.

Grand Lodge of the Royal Geographic Society
Altador City, Kingdom of Arevala

Image

A dark red banner adorned with the Royal Geographic Society's heraldic insignia: a geometry compass, ruler and globe, as well as the order's official motto: Nova et integra descriptio mundi ("a new and complete description of the world"), occupied the wall at one end of the room. The other walls were lined with maps of places that the Society had explored, and portraits of famous past explorers. There were also cabinets full of plants, animals, coins, gems and other artifacts which had been plundered collected for research from foreign lands, often by force. And the crown usually turned a blind eye to the horrific abuses carried out by the Society's most fanatical members, in return for getting its share of the treasure from the raids ... if not being directly complicit itself. This had been the case with just about every Arevalian monarch born into the age of sail, and for Queen Anabel it was no exception ‒ the latest descendant of the Cisneros royal family was well known for her taste in luxury and extravagance.

Of course, it was officially asserted that the Society was an independent organization, in order to maintain a level of plausible deniability. In addition, a Museum of Natural History had been built in the capital by the Queen's decree, to showcase the discoveries made by the Society and highlight their good work as scientists seeking knowledge and conducting research.

Bam-bam-bam. The heavy thud of the wooden gavel against the tabletop captured the attention of the two dozen or so people assembled in the meeting hall, signaling that the meeting of the Royal Geographic Society was in session. Dressed in their regalia: a cape and hood with the Society's insignia, they rose to their feet and remained standing as the Grand Master entered the room, then they all sat down after he did.

Rolando ‒ that was the name of the Grand Master ‒ gestured at the glowing crystal ball in front of him on the table, and began to speak. "Brothers and sisters of the order. We've detected a new sort of creature which none of us have ever seen before. It's on Earth, and it looks to be quite powerful and deadly. But look at the size ‒ that thing could feed every village in the Kingdom and nobody would ever have to work again for years. And I'm sure the Queen would love to have it stuffed and displayed as the centerpiece of the Natural History Museum. So today I ask for my finest and bravest volunteers to gather a crew, go out to sea, and bring back that beast dead or alive. A generous reward awaits."

A large grizzly man stood up at the table and replied. It was the seasoned sea captain Ferrando, one of the Society's most experienced expedition leaders, with multiple successful raids and conquests under his belt. "I'll do it. You can count on me, master. You have my word."

"Very good, Ferrando," Rolando replied. "I knew I could trust you to get the job done. For the Queen and for the country!"

"For the Queen and for the country!" echoed the others. Having ended the meeting, they all filed out of the room.

Aboard the ORC Cíclope
Somewhere in the Pacific Ocean

Image

In full sail, the six ships of the Royal Geographic Society's expedition fleet prowled the waters of the Pacific, on orders to slay the Ghidorah monster and bring its carcass back home to Arevala, ostensibly for research purposes. Their flagship was the Cíclope, captain Ferrando's own pride and joy which he'd designed and built himself. The three-deck galleon was armed with cannons on each of her decks, as well as catapults on the top deck for launching the Society's revolutionary new weapons: barrels of a substance that would stick to enemies and catch fire on contact, and acid bombs that could melt holes in wood or metal. There were also two harpoon guns mounted on the ship's bow, for shooting the monster. The Cíclope was also packing a crew of 300 men and women ‒ most of them regular sailors enticed to sign up with promises of glory and wealth, but also several specialists like mages and healers.

The other five ships in the fleet, though slightly smaller, were equipped with a similar loadout. And they were prepared to fight it out to the death, as indicated by the red battle ensigns flown on top of their masts: the Royal Geographic Society banner with an added skull-and-crossbones, like on the Jolly Roger flag used by pirates.

At first the crew looked left and right, but they didn't find anything. Then, suddenly the lookout on the crow's nest started hollering and ringing his bell excitedly, alerting Ferrando and the others to something he saw in his telescope. "Captain, captain! Look over there! What is that?"

Over the horizon, towering storm clouds could be seen in the distance. They appeared to be moving and rotating sideways ‒ it was a hurricane.

"That must be the monster!" yelled Ferrando. "Hard to starboard, we're going in! Hang on tight!" The Cíclope quickly altered her course toward the direction of the storm, and the other ships followed as well.

Ghidorah quickly noticed the ships, getting distracted from the aircraft he was chasing down.
With a roar, he blasted some of his gravity beams, though quite erratically. The beams hit water around the ships, creating waves of water and making the water unstable and shaky.

Quickly flying down, he landed in a water with a large dump, water splashing everywhere, also bringing the storm with him. One of the three heads dashed at one of the ships.

As the country healed from the wounds of the attack in its capital, the navy prepared a defensive plan for the Bay of Bengal, positioning navy ships on the outer edge of the bay and setting up monitoring systems for possible incursions by monsters zero.

Though the public eye shifted to the Pacific Ocean and the mysterious storm over sea. Action was called by part of the representatives but were in minority with most members decided on defensive measures to prevent further attacks, citing concerns of causing kaiju to be drawn to the nation.

"The military and newscast indicates Ghidrah is headed towards of our west coast. The zone most probably to be impacted is Toxic Waste Dump City. We have scheduled an evacuation to underground shelters of all hospitals and veterinary clinics to begin in 15 minutes, follow by a general evacuation of all citizens to begin at 0900. This is due to the ongoing coyote and mutant Cobra threats." The civil defense agency head said.

"Very well, the army general said. "The entire navy is placed off the coast facing Toxic Dump City. Additionally, the army has moved 300 MLRS, 500 L2A8 Leopard tanks, and 750 Wiesel IFV and thirty thousand infantry plus the Landsturm."

The Air Force General said. "We have reinforced the Local Air Force Base with 500 F-16 Vipers, 300 A-10 Thunderbolt IIs, and 400 Apache AH64 D helicopter gun ships. If the navy can't stop Ghidorah, The jets go in with missiles, followed by the Apaches with antitank missiles, followed by the A-10s with napalm. It's the army's show if we fail."

Queen Asteria Loyal Blade then asked. "Is there anything the royal family to help?" "Rally the people, your majesty." "Very well. I have issued a royal command that all schools are to be closed for the duration of this emergency.' The female Hoplite looked at her Amazonian Guardswomen. The local coyote and mutant cobra threats, running for exercise was not advised locally, despite the best efforts of animal control, armed citizens, the police, and the health department.
By 5:10 A.M. The radio had switched to continuous news coverage of Ghidorah and the announced evacuatio. The 13 year old girl finished her exercise drill and showered. She had been briefed the preceding afternoon, She donned her Landsturm hot weather uniform of pull on boots, knee length light tan cargo shorts and a longsleeve light tan shirt with velcro patches denoting her rank.

Her sword was kept at home. It was the traditional Landsturm melee' weapon, a gladius,
A Claridge Hi-Tec 9mm pistol was her issue sidearm, It held thirty six round in its detachable box magazine. It was also a civilian legal weapon, too. She vested up. Ballistic vest, Ballistic knee pads. PASGT helmet with tinted, padded ballistic ventilated goggles.

Though all guns were legal for civilians to own in Crimetopolis B, heavy weapon like grenades were kept in the Landsturm Arsenal at school. Her sword, pistol, and assault rifle were kept at home. 5:33 A.M. Her dad was up and her Mom was snoozing, Dad work 7 to 3 at the Chemical Plant and Mom did security guard 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. They were proud of her Landsturm Service. Indeed, the two had their pictures taken together uniforms together.

Hektora idolized her mom and truly loved her dad. They had taught her well but lived in reality. She was allowed to wear her short layered hair like her Mom. This was due to the fact that Toxic Waste Dump City had a high crime rate, despite the best efforts of the Federal Police, City Police, State Police, and County Sheriff's departments. Multiple Justifiable Homicides were a defacto rite of passage in this area.

Her PDA buzzed and Hektora got her orders. "You are to help with the evacuation of the Unhappy Camper Trailer Park. Afterwards, you are free to act on your own initiative."

Her Mom and Dad arose to the radio newscasts. The phone jangled. "Dad, Uncle Henry said you can stay with him and Aunt Mandybelle. You'll be better off there because they have a basement and the underground shelters will be crowded, even with pets allowed." They ate breakfast and began packing their Neo-Rav 4 SUV.

Crimetopolis B law exempted miniature SUVs and like size pick up trucks from improved gas mileage and environmental laws. This enabled the poors to afford decent vehicles. There was no plague of death trap vehicles on Crimetopolis B's roads, unlike more ecologically-minded areas.

Furthermore, a scratch lottery ticket game's proceeds fund 'Five dollars a week." to subsidize decent vehicles for the poors. The fact Crimetopolis B taxed no lotto winnings meant that the lotto eased the tax burden.

Christian Capitalism was the official line of Crimetopolis B. Communists, Nazis, socialists, and eco-activists condemned its policies. Oddly enough, Fascists, Imperialists, and even some democracies defended it.

Hektora earned five hundred dollars a week as a pistol-corporal in the Land Sturm. She put a hundred dollars each into her Christmas Club and Savings account. She bought on layaway as much as feasible.

She had bought her Mom and Dad each Hi-Tech pistol and they loved it. Given the fact it replaced her Mom's issue .357 magnum revolver as her work gun probably saved her life in her security guard job.

Hektora helped her family pack. She put the kitten Mom had found at work in a carrier. They ate breakfast and went potty. Hektora hugged her family and prayed over them. "We'd better get cash from the bank." said Mom. Dad gave her a prepaid spending card. She hugged and kissed Tiny Tank as he was placed into a carrier alongside the kitten's carrier.

She waved goodbye. Yhey left. Hektora noticed social workers evacuating the disabled and elderly in private vehicles. Commandeered City Buses would later come for the rest of those whom did not have vehicles.

Many of those whom had vehicles were leaving. Jack, Laura, Helen, and Rita Schumann rode by on horseback. "Where ya headin, Laura?" They all had their lever actions and revolvers. "Beach has a horse trailer that lead up to the point. Got a farm of east of Auto City to stay with friends. Stay safe."

Hektora replied. "Stay safe!" Clip Clop Clip Clop." She prayed for their safety as they ride off. Dusty Krieger was loading her pick up. Hektora helped her load. The blonde gal had a folding stock AK-47
and satchel of loaded mags grab ready in the seat next to her. Around her waist were belted twin .357 magnum Ruger GP100 7 shot steel revolvers. "Got a .45 automatic in the glove box and a Beretta with extendos in a bag grab ready."

Lastly, her two German shepherd dogs were safety-belted in the back seat of the Chevy Crew Cab. "Headin' up to Tornado Furt. Got some kin I'll hunker down with. Need a lift?" "No, i have to help here." "Godspeed, Hektora!" "God speed, Dusty!"

Dusty pulled out as a veterinary ambulance pulled in. Even the strays were evacuated. The buses arrived and the trailer park was evacuated by ten a.m. She got her Ruger Mini-14 government issue assault rifle and its mags and tac gear. She would turn them in at a government arsenal.

She checked the park one last time. Totally Devoid of Life. She PDA'd her command office and it responded with ."Closed due to Ghidorah'. She printed out three copies of her orders.'

She called a Taxi but they were commandeered, as were the city buses. She turned off the gas and electric. She emptied her mini-safe and called Judy's Jet boats. The radio said Asian Boyz International Airport was open until 6 p.m.

Judy'A Jet boats was open. "Everybody's rented a jetski or jet boat to flee here. Judy was locking up. "Headin' to Braxtonviile with my dog and cats. Need a lift?" "Yes."

Judy had a mommy cat with four kittens in a carrier. Her little dog was on a leashed harness. She helped load the jetboat. They were soon plowing through the water North towards Braxtonville. There was a small electric railroad that ran to Tornado Furt. At 2:30 p.m, they arrived.

Hektora helped Judy unload and thanked Judy. "This Marina is next to my cottage here. There's a bus that comes here. It will take you to the train station here." She handed her a prepaid debit card.
"Thank you, Judy Coleman." "Stay safe!"

Strangely, the bus was largely empty. Hektora showed her Landsturm ID to the driver after unloading it. The Landsturm Office was next to the train station. Hektora showed her orders. "You should have been issued a travel case for your rifle and ammo. "Take one, and you may go." The rental cop manning the desk said.

Hektora boarded the train to Tornado Furt. It arrived at 7 p.m. She rented a hotel room with a KFC next door. She PDA'd her Mom and Dad. They were safe with Uncle Henry and Aunt Mandy Belle. "I am safe in Tornado Furt. I will transport myself there. Love you, Bye."

Hektora then hit Family Dollar and got some basic toiletries. She paid cash. Hektora got a Bucket of KFC, two large spicy bean, two large fries and a lemon cake and four xl mountain dews. She was famished. She ate part of it and put the rest in the fridge.

She cleaned her weapons. She did her hygiene and called it a night. The next, she ate again. She checked the TV. Continuously coverage of Ghidorah. A fleet of primitive warships were engaging Ghidorah. The military was positioned to defend Toxic Waste Dump City fully. People were mass volunteering for the military to fight Ghidorah.

Hektora secured her stuff and rode the city bus to Tiny Raskals International Airport. She paid for a first class flight to Auto City. She left at 10 a.m. and arrived at 2:00 pm. She rode a courtesy bus down town.

She PDA'D her family again after boarding a county bus. Her family was happily surprised. And Uncle Henry's little kids and pets were happy to see her, too. She joined them in the farms chores and played with them after supper. And Tiny Tank loved her, too.
