If adding bacon means I can no longer call it grilled cheese, we must oppose. This is a hill to die on!

I do not support this act due to the fact that it would create legal president that unleavened bread aught not to be considered bread. This would be an injustice I could not stand for.

This should be a declaration in the Security Council. NOT a full-blown act in the GA

Said in the multiverse by Kathleen "Katie" Guerrero, WA Ambassador from Sirian, and agreed wholeheartedly by the OOC player behind Sirian.

Someone explain to me why Grilled Cheese is an important issue
La Ferra Suprema Reigns Supreme over the vast lands of Stella Nera
A land where humanity is king, above god and devil alike. A blissful Utopia for Humanity, a horrible Dystopia for sentient robots.

Robots shouldn't have rights or citizenship;
Compromise on other non-human sapient entities is possible, with limitations, but not on these buckets of bolts. They should serve humanity and have absolutely no place in society other than as our servants. Think of the benefits of this. Plus, they would almost certainly overtake humanity if we gave them the chance, whether out of pure advanced abilities or malice, or worse, both. Think of humanity.

Humanity First!

You have got to be f**king kidding me! I stopped hobnailing my liver and passed up on playing "Ride The Kinky Pony" with some Thessadorian Catgirls to vote for this drek? My nation and region vote NO!

OOC: I see the GA has not really become any more sane place meanwhile... :lol2:

Voting against because it excludes actual grilled cheese, which has nothing to do with bread. Melted cheese on or between bread is a melt, or a grilled sandwich, not grilled cheese. :p

We respectfully vote against this resolution. I remember with great trauma the great cheese wars. We don't talk about cheese. (OOC: see relevant daily issues)

However, I don't see how the promotion of a consumer product has anything to do with Consumer Protection.

As somebody who works as a cheesemaker irl the definition of cheese given in this act is not adequate in my opinion. I vote no.

Against. Cheese is not nearly as important as the potato, it doesn't deserve to be included in such a global-scale legislation. Also, we polled all Umojans and literally no one cares if it's called "grilled cheese" or "melt" or whatever else.

"My deepest respects to the authoring delegation: you made a good show of it, for what it's worth. Allow me to express my solidarity by enjoying a grilled cheese sandwich, as I am told is a gesture of the highest honor to your people." This resolution will likely cause unnecessary restrictions, thus causing misery, frustration, and exploitable behavior.

Of course were going to be voting in favor!

Hello! I’m a GAer and NS Roleplayer from the United Kingdom.
My pronouns are he/him.
Any posts that I make as GenSec will be clearly marked as such and OOC. Conversely, my IC ambassador in the General Assembly is Ambassador Fortier. I’m always happy to discuss ideas about proposals, particularly if grammar or wording are in issue. I am also Executive Deputy Minister for the WA Ministry of TNP.
Kenmoria is an illiberal yet democratic nation pursuing the goals of communism in a semi-effective fashion. It has a very broad diplomatic presence despite being economically developing, mainly to seek help in recovering from the effect of a recent civil war. Read the factbook here for more information; perhaps, I will eventually finish it.
