The ZBTF, or The Fund, is a mutual fund that allows you to invest your cards by gifting them to Zalora-Bravo, who will use them to make bigger and more profitable trades than you might be able to do on your own.


How does it work?


Well first, I will log your investment as shares in the fund by noting the market value of the cards you give at the time you give them. I will then give you your Stake Percentage based on the points in your investment compared to the total value of the fund. Your Stake Percentage determines how much of the profit will go to you. Whenever profits are reported, I will update the number of shares based on the percentages, and whenever a new investment is made, I will update the Stake Percentage based on the shares, which will lower it, but will not affect your shares or how quickly you earn them. In the interest of full transparency, I have all of this information posted on our up-to-date Share Overview and Profit Report.

There are no dividends in this fund, but after an initial month-long lock-up period, you can withdraw some or all of your capital (investments plus profits) though I may need a week to put together the appropriate cards that will total the amount of your withdrawal. You can also request specific cards from the Fund's portfolio when you withdraw, but in that case you would be charged double the market value for them.

In the first week that it's been active, The Fund has achieved a 44% profit not counting investments. Right now it has nine investors.

All investors must be WA members and have a population of at least 50 million. The minimum investment is 1 point and any cards gifted with a market value of under .1 will not count towards investment. In the case that the total value of your cards ends in a decimal/fraction, the value will be rounded down to the nearest whole number, ie, 8.15 to 8. This definitely sounds very interesting! I have no idea what to do with my artwork/cards, so putting them in the hands of someone more experienced and passionate about the project is definitely a tempting possibility. I'm rather interested in this as well, as it can also be an educational opportunity through which I can learn how real-life hedge funds work in a fun and (more importantly) inexpensive way.

My only question is if there are agreements or contracts that we sign, and if they would be recognised by the moderators. I don't want to hand over my property to you, and then you refuse to let me pull out I when I wish to.

Be warned, you might want to prevent this from becoming a Ponzi and paying out returns based on the number of total investors rather than any market savvy. Unregulated because NS has no regulations for this sort of thing. OK a mutual fund.

It's not a Ponzi scheme. You can follow along on all the math I'm doing in the Share Overview. I don't even include new investments in our profit percentage at all. For example, I said in the overview that we made 16% profit yesterday, if I had included invested shares, that would have been 30 something percent.

Well, no moderator has stopped me yet. My guess is that they are watching and waiting for any sign of fraud.

By investing, you are saying that you have read and agreed to the Charter, that's essentially our contract. I hope mods will recognize it. I worked hard on it.

Just letting you know. I've decided that once I get nine investors other than me that I will make the fund private, ie, the only investments after that will be by those who have already invested. So you will be unable to join once that happens.
